My Uber Killer Team (please rate)

This is for JAA. And for the sake of my eyes, put suggestions in bold. One more thing, this is my first competitive team! If it sucks, please give a reason why. Note: I cannot do anything about most natures.
Updated: 5/25/06

Salamence @ Lum Berry
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: Bah, I don't care. I suck at EVs anywho.
Hardy Nature (nothing)
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Flamethrower
- Brick Break
Salamence lowers opponents' attack while Slaking kills. Can get a free Dragon Dance if opponent's pokemon is physical. Also kills Sheddy, Metagross, Snorlax and Blissy.

Slaking @ Choice Band
Trait: Traunt
Adamant Nature (+atk -sp.atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Return
- Earthquake
- Hyper Beam
Kills Metagross with EQ, pounds Gengar with Shadow Ball, or hammers anything else with Return or Hyper Beam.

Mewtwo @ Twisted Spoon
Trait: Pressure
Modest Nature (+Sp.Atk -atk)
- Ice Beam
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
- Recover
Hey, gotta fight Uber with Uber =P

Lanturn @ Leftovers
Trait: Volt Absorb
Modest Nature (+sp.atk -atk)
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Thunderwave
- Substitute
Sub, T-wave, then Ice Beam or T-bolt according to opponent.

Sceptile @ Scope Lens
Trait: Overgrow
Hardy Nature (nothing)
- Leaf Blade
- Dragon Claw
- Aerial Ace
- Toxic?
Kills Sheddy, Kyogre, dragons, and Groudon. Major Critical Hit ratio with Leaf Blade.

Swampert @ Quick Claw
Trait: Torrent
Bashful Nature (nothing)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
I don't want to hear anything about the Quick Claw being hax, OK?!
Kills dragons and Sheddy. Is overall sturdy.

Swampert's gonna quickly fold up in ubers. Just warning you.
Sceptile does not kill Dragons. DClaw doesn't OHKO.
Modest on Lanturn, plz.
Lum on Mence might be a good idea.

Uber is a German word. It basically means super, top-of-the-line, best you can get. That's why Pokemon like Mew, Groudon, etc. are called ubers.

Lanturn comes highly recommended as an anti-legendary.

Lanturn @ leftovers
Substitute
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Thunder Wave

Sub first, then TWave. Then depending on the opponent, Ice Beam or TBolt away. When your Sub disappears, just Sub again. Leftovers should have at least partially made up for the lost HP by then.

Most of these kids probably hardly even know what status conditions are, much less the havoc they can wreak. :D
Yes, it is his set :p

AirLock200: I might not use Swampert too often. Since the matches are 4 on 4.
Sceptile may not be able to OHKO dragons, but at least he will dent them untill I get an ice beamer out.
Lanturn is one of the few who I can change the nature, so I guess.
And I'll give Salamence Lum.

W/O Skill Swap somewhere on the team, Slaking might a weighdown to your team since Protect's pretty much everywhere

Ok, like I said earlier, I just got into competitive. So I don't know the standard moveset for anything.

AirLock200: I really don't see any way I could add skill swap. Besides, Slaking always is one of the first 2 on my team, and I usually never switch him out. He never really weighs me down. I'll take it into consideration, though.

Natures and moves you can look up on this site yourself,

(These are the sorts of things that'd apply for this particular team, with rules set to 'anything goes').
Some suggestions/pointers

1. If the salamance is there to lower the opponents attack, Give it some moves to Keep it alive longer, as the opponent will likely be trying to pummel it as soon as they get the chance.

2. If you're going to use slaking, Like airlock said, Make sure you have skill swap; Unless He's there solely to spam, choice-banded hyperbeams.
That being the case, he won't be able to "Kill Metagross with EQ", pound Gengar with Shadow Ball", or hammer anything else with Return. Which would be a very risky move.

3. If they decide to throw in something that has its evasion level cranked up, all you have is Sceptile. (in the case that it were knocked out) You don't have "roar", "whirlwind", Haze.. another 'unavoidable attack' ..nothing to turn the fight around.
You might be alright if you keep him in reserve, but in a 4v4, if you decided to sit him out, you could be dooming yourself from the start.

4.
I don't want to hear anything about the Quick Claw being hax, OK?! Kills dragons and Sheddy. Is overall sturdy.
Quick Claw can be useful sometimes, but overall i think it's a waste.. If you threw that out against a groudon, He'd be out faster than you sent him in.

5. ..Gj on Lanturn ^.~

[[A good strategy for a 4 on 4, provided there were no rules opposing, is..

Train up 'lets say Electrode' with speed & attack Ev's (or something simmilar), and send it out with a ghost pokemon who also had a killer Speed & Attack,

Throw an explosion at them, then drop a fast, and moreso painful EQ, from the ghost. That should wipe out pretty much anything.
(good to have a sweeper that can use other moves like surf & rockslide, incase they have flying pokemon.)

replace the fallen 'electrode' with a shedinja that has moves thatll keep it going (Protect, @Choiceband ..Endure if it can learn it, (Endure and protect can keep any one pokemon alive for a very, very long time))

Electrode is fast but has pretty poor attack, so something else with more attack might be a better choice. ^^

The smart players will be trying to wipe the shedinja, and the.. less smart ones, you should be able to handle with that mewtwo you have, by giving it the stupid moveset I gave mine;

Flamethrower,
Recover,
Barrier,
Calm Mind.

Crap, but effective. That build will wipe any, poorly-built team out there, 1 on 6,
reguardless on whether it's a single or double battle. ]]

You may or may not want to try that out, but if anyone ever throws out a combo like that, know what to expect =p

I came up with two sets. I might use one over Swampert.

Weezing @ need help. Normally I would use leftovers but Lanturn needs them more
Trait: Levitate
Careful Nature (-sp.atk +sp.def)
- WoW
- Haze
- Pain Split?
- Sludge Bomb
Physical wall. Hazes out Calm Minds and Double Teams. Also destroys physicals with WoW. Sludge Bomb to death and Pain Split when low on HP.

AND

Slowbro @ need help. Same reason for Weezing
Trait: Own Tempo
Adamant Nature (+atk -sp.atk)
- Skill Swap
- Psych Up
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
Skill swap with Slaking and Psych Up Double Teams. He's slow, so I figured he would be a good Sub-puncher.

Which one should I use? I'm leaning towards Weezing. But, then again, there are a lot of Psychics in the Uber metagame.

No. Weezing fails in 2v2. Special Attacks are everywhere. You'll die before Hazing CMs

With Psychics everywhere, Subpunching is terrible on this and even worse, Slowbro's atk is mediocre

Blissey and Snorlax can take special hits (And Snorlax can explode, Blissey can Skill Swap). Slowbro's kinda slow, which isn't good, sadly. Base 80 SDef isn't hot since Thunder will run over you. Well, the other two are also slow, but they have their 2v2 advantages over Bro

Skill Swapping Blissy, ok. How's this? It's a Blissy on lv7 that I never bothered training. I was never planning to us him, but:

Blissy @ shell bell
Trait: Natural Cure
Careful Nature (-sp.atk +sp.def)
- Skill Swap
- Seismic Toss
- Softboiled
- no clue. Maybe Toxic or Sub

asianmang: I can't use leftovers. Lanturn already has them and you can't have more than one of the same item in JAA.

Toy: No. You're missing the point. I am only considering Blissy because I need a skill swaper to rid Slaking of Traunt. I need a set with Skill Swap on it.

Shell Bell would be useful on the slaking if it used EQ (Been using it on my EQ tyranitar..)
being restricted to using different items and different pokemon really blows..

I'm not very good at balancing teams out so I tend to rely on one pokemon, the rest drop like flies..
Blissey is another pokemon I hate =p If i had to use it, I'd use something simmilar to this...

Blissy @ Brightpowder (leftovers on the fish)
Trait: Natural Cure
Careful Nature (-sp.atk +sp.def)
- Seismic Toss
- Minimize
- Softboiled
- Sub//Toxic

Quite straight-forward.. You'd use minimize 6 times or so, (healing between) could set up a substitute and then just spam seismic toss;
Use a PP-UP on seismictoss, I doubt any team (all up) would have 2400 hp (Especially in a 4 on 4..) But Toxic in-place of Sub would be ideal in the case that they're going to heal,
If they haze and you can't prevent it, don't bother

Now Mist is another attack I don't come across very often, If by abilities It meant evasion, and prevented haze (which I doubt it would) It would be perfect in place of Sub/Toxic, but blissey can't learn it.. so another pokemon who could learn Mist and an evasive move, would be good along-side blissey.
(They do disallow evasive moves in alot of tourneys.. (Which is IMO, a load of BS), But you could scrap this alltogether if that happened.

Could try replace Sub w/ Defence Curl, but having by far the worst defence I've really ever seen, It'd probably rival something that of a metapod - -;;
I don't handle this pokemon very much, so I really wouldn't know.

For Skill-Swapping I'd suggest an espeon..
Get In
(Skill Swap)
Get the hell out, a very good Pokemon ^.-
Guess you could baton-pass if the nub has Pursuit and predicts a switch coming..
