My unusual team, advice needed

Gengar
timid
Hypnosis
substitute
Nightmare
Curse

This is a 1 use only annoyer which i love using against non status curing pokemon which is quite effective

Gliscor with the expert belt
jolly
x scissors
ice fang
thunder fang
aerial ace

this supper effectives quite a bunch of pokes

Infernape
jolly
swords dance
close combat
flare blast
stone edge

ultimate powerhorse...

although ive finished the game with infernape, abomasnow, dialga, gastrodon and a kriketune (lol) i found they are all crap except infernape and dialga is banned from the tower, i love these pokemon because they are smart and can pass through anything.

Can anyone give me any advice on what could be a good addition to my team?

Thank you

If Hypnosis misses on Gengar, then you're screwed. Focus Sash if you want to keep that particular set, but the sweeper versions are better ihmo.

Swords Dance/Roost/Earthquake/Ice Fang is a good sweeping Gliscor set.

Hasty Life Orb Nasty Plot/Flamethrower/Close Combat/Grass Knot Infernape.

but with the zoom specs i think it is that raises accuracy it only missed once or twice

how do i get roost on gliscor?

how do you get nasty plot on an infernape???

im not a fan of having a double sweeper like on that relies on attack and on Spattck

which pokemon do you think i couold include to make this a 6 pokemon team?

Thank you

1. I think you're referring to Wide Lens, which only raises Hypnosis' accuracy to 77%. I'd rather have two chances to hit with 70% than one with 77%.

2. TM.

3. Raise Chimchar into the lower 20s, or I suppose you could breed.

4. I assume that you're mistaking a Mixed Sweeper for a Double Sweeper? Double Sweepers don't exist. Mixed Sweepers give you more variety, and variety in this game is good.

5. I'm not going to tell you what to add.

GuardianofKnowledge;
I think Focus Sash in one use, so ingame go with something else (like wide lens).

Standard gengar has Hypnosis/Shadow Ball/T-Bolt/Focus Blast (wide lens helps Hypnosis and Focus Blast so use that.) Curse is never good on a Ghost poke.

Wait wait wait. Focus Sash on Gengar that knows Substitute and Curse? Did I miss something here?

Sub + Curse is going to make your Gengar KO herself pretty much. >_>

Gengar (Timid Nature) @Wide Lens/Wise Glasses/Life Orb
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt
-Focus Blast/Energy Ball
-Hypnosis/Destiny Bond

xD. I'm an idiot. Thanks for correcting me.

Counter/Destiny Bond/Shadow Ball/Protect is a great anti-battle togey pogey that can potentially kill two other pogeys.

I don't like the standard Gengar moveset. I'd rather go with this one:

Gengar @ Wise Glasses
Modest Nature
Ability: Levitate
-Shadow Ball
-Energy Ball/Thunderbolt
-Focus Blast/
-Sludge Bomb/Psychic

I don't know why, but I like this one better. Maybe because it's different. I'd also go with any moveset that involves strong moves with lots of PP, good accuracy, and can hit a good range of types. But that's just me.

Both of them share a Water weak, and TTar does nothing to help Gliscors Ice weak. Gliscor/Empoleon are a good pair, however.

The Anti-Hero
Gliscor with roost is a demon, you need the TM roost OR breed with a male "breed group BUG" pokemon with roost to get a baby gligar with Roost attached.

having two pokemon weak agianst water isn't fun. I suggest replacing infernape with Vaporeon. Vaporeon's weaknesses are grass and electric, both of which will not like the sight of gliscor.

some peaple might not agree with me but sincec hypnosis has a rubbish accuracy i'd go with thunder wave and replace nightmare with another filler (shadow ball for STAB???)

Id watch out for rock/ground types too, i learned hard way to cover those two types. Id pretty much say its still my weak point. Add a steel type. many of which can learn elemental moves such as thunder and flamethrower. just a suggestion.

Ironic how you tell him that Ground types wreck his team, and you suggest a Steel Type. Levitating/Flying Steels are fine, but you need to clarify what kind of steel type.
