Ability: Torrent
*Surf
*Earthquake
*hammer arm (much better)
*Averlance (takes care of grass trypes)
Nature: Impish

Zookie

Battle Tower Fanatic
Salamence @ Choice Specs
Ability: Intimidate
*Draco Meteor
*Thunder Fang
*Crunch/Brick Break/Roost
*Earthquake
Nature: Modest
EV's: 4 HP/ 252 Speed/ 252 SpAtk

Don't use Salamence's special attack, its much weaker than attack. This spread might be more useful to you. Draco Meteor is for facing other dragons or as a last stand attack. Earthquake is for coverage. Thunder Fang helps against ice users, which are usually water types, it also nails Gyradose. The last is your choice. Roost is a good recovery move if you need something like that. Brick Break is useful because fighting has great coverage like ground does. Crunch is a popular choice because it takes out ever present Gengars, Alakazams, etc. Someone else will no doubt suggest the Dragon Dance set.

I don't really have anything to say about the other ones.

For your Swampert, replace Rock Slide with Ice Beam, give it a relaxed nature, and put some EVs in special attack. Swampert works well as a mixed attacker, and it should lead, so you can set Stealth Rock up early.

@Zookie
Specsmence is fine. Even though Salamence's attack is higher, it's special attack is still usable. A Draco Meteor coming from Modest, 100 Base stat, with a specs boost will rip anything that doesn't resist it, which is everything but steel types. Leave specsmence the way it is.

This team is kind of standard. There is no overall strategy. Don't take it personally, but it just looks like a team of six Pokemon trying to do individual things you know? It should work as a team to achieve a single goal, not try to counter every threat. For this team, I would say have the 5 Pokes try to eliminate Electivire counters, and near the end, bring Electivire out and sweep! There's more teamwork involved in that strategy. Trust me, there's too many threats to counter all of them, so better try your own plan instead of trying to stop the opponent's.

Blue Ace

Pokemon is Dead
This looks like a very old and outdated generic team from the early metagame back in 07

- All physical Electivire is just plain bad, it's walled by Bronzong, Hippowdon, Celebi, Weezing, Forretress, Tangrowth, Donphan and Rhyperior. It also makes a horrible lead. Not to mention the fact that the only poke that can bait electric attacks for you is Skarmory, who is far more likely to be attacked by fire moves instead. Make it mixed, you dont want your primary sweeper being walled so easily. Also lead with Salamence

http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/electivire

The "Mixed Attacker" set is what you need

- Dusknoir is superior in the physical walling department than in the special defensive department, Alakazam and Gengar have Shadow Ball, Azelf's Nasty Plotted Psychics hurt it a lot and it doesnt OHKo any with Shadow Sneak and 3HKOs Azelf with it, and it can never hope to come in on Heatran or SpecsMence raw power.

The physical walling version can wall Gyarados and Heracross to a decent extent, two pokes that give Skarmory an incredibly hard time to deal with.

Dusknoir @ Leftovers
Impish Nature
252 HP, 180 Def, 76 S.Def
- W-o-W
- Pain SPlit
- Fire Punch
- Thunderpunch

- Skarmory wants Shed Shell, it has Roost for recovery anyway

- Blissey needs Aromatherapy, no one here except for her can take any form of status and like it, over Thunder Wave, again outdated EV spread and nature is outdated

- Since Swampert is using Surf, why are you using a - S. Atk nature?

Swameprt @ Leftovers
Relaxed Nature
240 HP, 216 Def, 52 S.Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Beam
- Earthquake
- Hydro Pump

Standard and superior, Hydro Pump with those EVs can 2HKO Weezing and Skarmory, Surf does not, if youre dead set on using Surf then dont use any S.Atk EVs since theyre just going to be wasted

HP Ice + Grass Knot MixApe weak, standard among these types of teams

Skarmory should go with drill peck, as walls taking damage from their attack is bad.

Physical Electvire is quite possibly one of the worst offensive leads there is. Swampert, Hippowdon, Bronzong, Weezing and about 5 others, some commonly used as leads wall the hell out of you.

Surfing Pert with Impish makes as much sense as Quiet Weavile, and Rock Slide is just a bad move for it.

Skarmory wants Drill Peck, whoever mentioned Brave Bird as a possible good move for it deserves to be tied up and forced to watch reruns of the fifth series of Doctor Who.

Skarmbliss is not a reliable means of defence for a team anymore. In fact I can see the combo falling out of popularity in the future. Choice Specs, new Pokemon and Life Orb did to Skarmbliss what Infernape did to Blaziken. Luckily, you also have Dusknoir here.

This team is extremely bog standard and the Pokemon have no synergy so why I am rating this I really do not know. Skarmbliss does not count as synergy I am afraid

i agree with dark typhlosion. if ur gonna have a pokemon like electavire u need to have a few pokemon in ur team to bait it. u cn see on mine i have starmie n aerodactyl, both of whom are good sweepers n whose weaknesses are covered by other pokemon in my team. in fact, electavire, houndoom n toxicroak can all absorb the weaknesses of my other pokemon and each other n make themselves stronger. that is teamwork.

Ok, I'm gonna stick with my original Electivire, I've never had problems with it.
btw, it's not my lead, I just posted it first, so sorry if you guys were expecting the lead to be posted first. (Swampert's my lead)
