Hello there, other than doing traditional artwork I sometimes bother to make my own sprites. I tried it when I was young, but wasn't really satisfied with the results.

Now that I've looked through the Fan Sprites section, after learning a bit from the pros, I feel I am ready to show what I have so far. Perhaps one day I will sprite my own entire Fakedex, after a lot of designing, of course.

Pretty much what the spoiler said.
That's all I have for now, and I very rarely sprite, so if I do make new ones, I'll be sure to post them here. I even designed a few fusions on paper and hope to turn them into pixels. Thanks for seeing this, and I look forward to comments and critiques. Always so much to learn~

Well, for a first scratch sprite, it's quite nice. I feel the arms may be a bit small. I like the concept, and the shading and anti-aliasing could be worked on. Mainly the anti-aliasing. But none-the-less, it's quite good for a first scratch. The fusion is surprisingly scary and nice. It's hard to think of Gallade wearing lolita. Scary thought. But I quite like it. The only thing that bothers me are the hands, but I don't know what you could do to fix them. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to seeing more fakemon designs.

Also, for future pics, you should always save in PNG, not BMP or JPEG/JPG. ;)
About the sprites, those are a LOT better than my first scratch or fusion.
They're both very clean, from what I can see. Although, the scratch looks more water type to me.

Ah, that's right, I seem to have forgotten.

I seem to have missed that too. I didn't even notice. My laptop screen made them look PNG. I can see now the JPG in them.

On a note about the Gallatelle, maybe just use Gallade's hands?

As in the original? I did try to recolor them and they already looked funny to me. I must have made them worse.
Spinnium is a bipedal lizard whose back legs will "sprout" out of its tail when it evolves. Its spines are thorns and moves mainly by rolling.
And luls, I called it Gothillade. xP By the way, how can you tell if something if JPG, PNG?
Results: Recoloring of the hand. I guess it does look better. I must say, the legs were very hard to do, as I wanted to do a Genesect-like black layered dress look on the legs, but the scratched bows covered it all up. xD

Can anyone tell if it looks like PNG? I saved it as PNG but I can't tell.

Oh yes, this is a rough sketch of my next sprite, which is the fire type starter, Flemgle. All designs are found on my art thread so you can get an idea of what they're supposed to look like in terms of concept. I have decided to work with the basic sprites before moving onto evolutions.

I can tell it's PNG. It looks much nicer now. Now that I can see the sprite better on my home computer, the hands don't look too bad.

You can tell what JPG looks like with spritework. It generally fuzzes up the work, whereas PNG keeps the work pristine. Much better quality, and JPG can't hold transparency layers.

Is that the Basic stage of the evolution line? because I feel it's a bit too big, and I feel it also lacks conceptual goodness. I have no idea why I just said that... Anywho. I feel it's design could be improved on, but it's a good starting area : )

^^^ Lol, original? I thought others have tried this idea before me. Guess not. Idk what I was thinking making an androgynous char like it.

I remade the bird fire starter.. it's quite tiny. o.o

The concept behind it is that the little bits of down on its chest area will become dragon claws and that the bird is somehow capable of returning to a more dragonic, reptilian form. Do remember I designed it when I was 10.
