I got this from Bulbanews (which got it from Pokeani):

Released in November 2005 with 1.4 million copies sold, Pokémon Mysterious Dungeon will become a spinoff anime, beginning with a two hour anime special to be aired in July ahead of the release of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.

The plot will follow the game closely, with a boy-turned-Pikachu as the main character and an Eevee as his partner. It seems that the Pokémon characters will be able to speak, as in the game.

Personally, I'm not overly keen on this... but I could be wrong and it might end up being rather enjoyable to watch some pokemon anime without trainers.

It's an April fools joke I hear, the first one PokeAni ever did.

Yeh it is, on the site it sais "April Fools", I think they done that because PokeAni always (well, up until now) told us the truth. It would be a great spinoff though.

Man, it just won't stop. April fools ended more than 19 hours ago GMT.

Though I would have watched it if they had made it.

Who's BMG?
Bulbasaur's Mysterious Garden aka Bulbagarden. It's another Pokemon many people on this forum also belong to.

I personally think a Mysterious Dungeon would have been great. Too bad this only a bad joke.

Actually there might be a form of hope, remember the Mysterious Dungeon Scene in the old Intro? Yes, the Key Word is Old but who knows?

.Bambi.

Be Wise, Tell Lies.
Your first clue was a spin-off on the Mysterious Dungeon games.
I mean, out of ALL the things they could do a spin-off on, why would they choose Mysterious Dungeon? Especially with things like Pokemon Ranger being pushed on us from right and left. A boy turned Pikachu and his trusty Eevee side-kick? Aye, Marketing, ho! :O

EDIT - One question. Is 1.4 million copies sold a lot for a Nintendo game?

You can file me in with anyone who wanted such a series to be a reality.
Man, what I wouldn't give for a pokémon-related animé series that focused solely on those pocket dwelling thingies (Heart and Liver are debatable).
Dammit, I wouldn't even care if Eevee and Pikachu are the main characters. If it followed the plot of the game, we'd actually be in store for some character development and a half-way decent plot.

I think the key words are 'who' and 'knows'. They're used often enough...

People belong to Pokémon now? Yikes, bizzare-o-world strikes again!

Yes, it was all an April Fools prank. But because of the way it was initially presented (As part of a Bulbacast special), a lot of people bought it.

A pity that PokéAni had to go and make the fact those stories were April Fools jokes obvious. Initially, the pages didn't have the red text, etc, proclaiming it as a prank.

Since this doesn't actually exist, I'm closing this to prevent some poor idiot coming along and spreading it around like it were real. :<
