I seriously considered getting PMD many months ago...Naturally, I read the game reviews to see if there was anything people commonly considered wrong with it, and as it turns out, there were many. I hated Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories solely because it was a dungeon crawler with randomised dungeons (though the battles were very fun); it turned out that random dungeons don't work here either and especially not with the repetitive tile patterns and traps that make no sense.
PMD, by the way, is not a first outing. The company that made this had made many Mystery Dungeon games before, all of which never got good acclaim from the critics. They weren't going to change the formula, so they put a Pokémon tablecloth over it to make it sell.
By the way, would I support a Green version? If they un-randomize the dungeons and make them shorter, perhaps. Most likely they wouldn't because randomized dungeons, as dreadfully boring and odd (in a bad way) that they are, are a staple of the Mystery Dungeon series, and the odds of the company un-randomizing them would be about the same as making a Sonic platformer game without Rings.
