Mystery Dungeon sounds

As some of you know, I'm blind, and I was just wondering what the sounds are like in this game. I mean, are there different sounds for when certain things happen (such as certain attacks, running into a wall, etc)? If there are I might consider buying this game when it comes out in English. So, anybody who has the japanese version, could you just listen to the sounds for a bit and see if it'd be possible for somebody with no vision to play with minimal help?

Thanks in advance

I don't, but I do have a special program which turns what's on the screen into voice.
In fact, if you're running Windows, go into accessories and find Narrator. It's not what I use (it's not near good enough), but it still does basically the same thing. The program I use just has more compatibility with different programs (such as MSN and the Internet).

And I haven't played any Zelda games before.

EDIT. Sorry, the "I don't" was referring to Flygon Prince's post. I must've forgotten to check the "quote message in reply?" checkbox.

Oh My! Noodlesoup!
Well, if you run into something, there's no sound for that...
The attacks have varying sounds, like Thundershock has an 'electric' sound, and Water Gun has a ...watery sound^_^

Oh, that's too bad. That game was really starting to look interesting.
Oh well.
This can be closed now, unless anybody has any more information I could use.

Look intresting? You mean sound? LOL

Atleast Blind people will get more out of video games when they become virtual reality.

I have no idea. I mean, if it inserts the images into they're mind, it'll be much cooler for Blind people then people who can see. ^^

Oh, right. It's too bad something like that isn't possible. Oh well. At least the other gameboy pokémon games are suitable for us.

I just had another thought. Even if there were sounds for running into walls and stuff, I'd still have a heck of a problem targeting my attacks, since the battles are somewhat realtime now. Unless, say, if the sound could be turned into stereo, if I were to plug headphones into my gameboy, the pokémon's cry (if they have them in this game) could come from only one speaker depending on the direction it's coming from. I doubt they thought of that, though. Although in the 3rd gen games, when sound is set to stereo, your pokémon's cry comes from one speaker while the enemy's comes from the other. But anyway, even if they did do that, it'd still only work if the poke's coming at you from the left or right, and there'd be no way to determine between it being in front of you or behind you.

Then you could just turn around in circles shooting off random attacks. =-P

But you wouldn't be able to read the poke'mon talking.

Isn't there a way for you to connect a video camera to your brain? Or is that technology too expensive for you? Or is it not available to the public yet or something?

You know, I played my old G/S games blindfolded one time, I didn't fare too well. So I commend you for playing these games. I did, however, manage to memorize all 251 pokemon's cry, so when I encountered them, I could recognize the. But I got lost when R/S came out. lol

Well I'm not surprised. It does take a while to get used to it.
