Main Thread - Discussion Thread

Keydeus, California, a rather regular town off the coast of the state. Nothing particularly great or noteworthy has happened here since its founding, like a great many a town. Although it is known for its diverse people from the, well, many kinds of people who conquered, retook and then signed a treaty to live there for whatever reason, leading to things like an old Christian church building right beside a Chinese temple and a new hi tech office building.

With diverse people, there are diverse interests and plenty of people with the same interest. This was what formed the supernatural and mythology club at St. John High School in August, 1997, better known as the super-myth club for short. The club was originally founded by a bunch of friends who believed in cryptids and wanted to prove their existence but ended up just giving up on it and kept up the club.

The year is now 2016. At March, St. John High School celebrates its 75th anniversary and its students and staff are holding fesitivities. As the town wide celebration goes on, some strange things happen. Items are in very odd places for no reason, some places or equipment get broken with little explanation and some kids outright vanish, worrying their parents, and then come back, none the wiser. But with no one getting hurt, and most people busy with the celebration, it was mostly written off.

Except for you, a member of the super-myth club. You had accidently caused one of those odd things to happen...with your suddenly gained powers. Whether it be seeing the souls of the dead and freaking out from it, producing electricity and short-circuiting an appliance, or even summoning a specific creature that broke a few things, you can do something you know that wouldn't be so unbelievable in a superhero story.

Ever since then, you and the rest of the club know you have powers, whether from telling each other or others finding out. Fortunately, you're not alone, as your fellow club members are in similar positions. Strange things had been happening across the town. The accidents that happened during the celebration were occuring even though you or the club weren't the cause of it. There have also been supposed sightings of cryptids.

One of the club members, a girl named Anima, suggested they get to the bottom of their powers, starting by finding out more about the sightings. After all, their powers just popped up right before them, maybe it had something to do with them.

Somewhere, an ancient eye opens for the first time in centuries.

Mythos: The Return of Magic

And there you go, that was the intro to the RP. If you decided it was too long or whatever reason to skip it, the gist is that you're a student of St. John High School and a member of one of its clubs. This one interested in the supernatural and mythology and you have powers right now. You live in this town in California called Keydeus and your club is going to get to the bottom of why you have these powers, starting with finding out about the stranges sightings across the town.

RULES
  • General forum and RP rules apply.
  • No godmodding, no bunnying and ESPECIALLY no metagaming.
  • This is probably unneccessary, but I'll say it anyway, REFRAIN FROM USING FIGURES FROM MODERN RELIGIONS. That's just asking for trouble.
  • In short, be nice to everyone involved and don't be the one that forces me to make more rules.

SIGN UP INFO

At the start of the RP, our intrepid heroes are at the farm of the Ceresa family on a Saturday night, a farm right at the edge of town, two weeks after the celebration. Anima's family is good friends with them and so offered to help find out what's killing their livestock. This Earth is pretty much the same as ours, or at least for now... More details will be on the discussion thread whenever I get it up.

Ancestors and your Powers
In this RP, the powers your character has will be tied to whatever mythological ancestor you've chosen. In this case, it won't be just gods and godesses (though I have a feeling a majority of you will chose such), but all things that are mythical or in some sort of legend. Those include demi-gods (like Hercules/Herakles, Perseus and Gilgamesh), monsters that involve humans (like please dont kill me vampires, werewolves, ghosts and spirits) and even "normal" people (like Beowulf, Medea, Springheel Jack and knights from Arthurian legends). Other mythical creatures (like say the Greek Sphinx) and others will be dealt with individually if they ever pop up.

The powers have to be tied in some way to the ancestor. If you want to include a famous item they have, like say Arthur's Excalibur, they can't have the actual thing but they can create a construct that has similar powers to the original. Their powers, if you want, can also manifest as a seperate "being", a la Persona, that has very limited intelligence.

The cut off for myths and legends is the Victorian era. Any "myth" beyond that isn't allowed. And you don't know you're descended from a mythical being yet.

Super-myth Club
The club was founded at St. John High School by a bunch of friends wanting to prove the existence of cryptids but soon gave up on it. Its current leader, a one Hansel Christina Andrewson, is currently on the other side of the US in New York due to family matters. Because of this, the club has more have been friend gatherings than anything else for now and didn't do much during the celebration. The current secretary is Salazar Daniel Drake.

General Guidelines
  • I'll allow a maximum of two characters. Anything beyond will be handled on a case by case basis.
  • I'll allow you to reserve a mythological figure before anyone else chooses them but I'll only keep it up for a week and then the figure will be up for grabs.
  • Power levels will be about low to mid. As we progress through the RP, we could get more powerful. But that's it for now. If you want something a bit more definite, our characters will start at or below Tier 3 of the Super Weight scale on TV Tropes.
  • The only powers I won't allow are seeing the future (because that would be a nightmare to work out), time and or space stopping (self explanatory, I hope) and bringing back the dead (though not making the dead undead).
  • I'll allow minor time travel like Tracer from the game Overwatch.
  • Feel free to ask questions if you're still not sure about something.

Other:

Name: Anima Maria Juarez
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Mythical Ancestor: Anubis (Egyptian Psychopomp, God of the Dead, Guardian of the Pharoah's Tomb, God of Embalming and Judge of Souls)
Powers and Skills:
Protector of the Dead: She gets stronger when around the buried dead, like in graveyards, allowing her to protect the place. Right now, her strength will increase to being able to easily destroy concrete.
Powered Up 2X: Now her strength is easily superhuman whenever around the dead, instead of the buried dead.

Judge of the Heart: If she focuses her sight on someone, or living beings in general, she can see their heart's current basic intention in glowing colors. There's also a voice that also tells her what each color means. Unfortunately, it's not exactly mind reading. Say, she might know a person means to lie but she won't know what is it they're lying about. Or she can see the person intends to harm someone but she doesn't know who. Her eyes slightly glow white whenever she does this.

The Dead's Escort: She can travel to the Underworld through dead bodies, buried or not, human or not, and go back the same way. Because of this, she can see the dead and spirits. If anyone holds onto her, she can bring them to the Underworld and they end up seeing spirits too.
Powered Up 2X: Now she can travel to the Underworld anywhere (as microbes are always dying when we walk) as long as it's on the ground, though it would take a few seconds to get there than by using dead bodies.

Mechanical Prowess: She's rather good with things mechanical, like household appliances and even cars, being able to fix some problems. Don't ask her help for any digital problems for them though.

Trilingual: She can speak English, Cebuano and Filipino, though not as fluently with the last one.

Appearance: Anima is short, standing only at 4'7''. She has a lean and fit build from all the work on machines and running she does. Her skin's a light brown and her hands are callous. Her dark brown hair is medium length, reaching the base of her neck, and straight. Her eyes are a faded, almost icy, blue, which somewhat contrasts the smile she has on often.

Attire wise, it's rather plain and leans more on practical. Her t-shirt is usually just grey or white so she can see the smudges she might get while tinkering. Her pants are usually khaki brown with plenty of pockets for anything she needs to, well, pocket. They're also thick to protect her legs. She wears boots for this same reason. She wears a thick blue jacket for whenever it starts getting cold. For accessories, she has protective goggles around her neck whenever she's not wearing them, given to her by her father.

Personality: Anima is a cheerful and outgoing girl. Bubbling with energy, she likes to talk, a lot. She would often go on and on and on, not realizing she's rambling. This is especially if you talk about mythology. There's rarely a moment where she isn't talking. Even if there's no one around, she often talks to herself. Though she can stay shut, it's only when someone asks her nicely.

She's a fairly intelligent girl with a love of mythology and machines. She doesn't mind getting herself dirty or messy. But she's rather impulsive, leading to the many disassembled and reassembled appliances in her house. Combining with her energeticness, she often switches between things a lot and is known to run around the town, off to get parts she forgot to get or some other errand.

A friendly girl and easy to befriend, she's usually doesn't hold any grudges on anyone. She's also more than willing to be a shoulder to cry on. Other than her main interests, and not minding boys, she's what most would expect from a girl. She likes cute stuff, especially puppies and dogs, likes dressing up whenever she isn't tinkering (though she has a terrible fashion sense and taste and gets sick from makeup), and well, Disney movies (though her favorite is Brave).

History: Originally from Cebu City, Philippines, when she was four, her family--consisting of her parents, herself and five older siblings--moved to her father's hometown, Keydeus and Anima has lived there since. Her life was a lot more eventful with her family. That's what happened when one of her siblings was a prankster and military strategist wannabe, another a gymnast, another a chef and then herself, who dismantled stuff a lot.

But despite their differences, they were always close with each other and their parents. Meanwhile, they lived in a three story house where the first floor was the restaurant their mother ran while her father was a mechanic and hobbyist inventor. She quickly learned her love of machines from him and getting her screwdriver from him at nine years old. After going through elemantary, she went to the school her older siblings attended, St. John High School. It was there she found out about the super-myth club and joined on her first day at school.

Not much of note happened since then, except the occasional incident caused by her or her siblings. She became friends with plenty of members and saw new ones join as older ones graduated and left. Then at St. John High School's anniversary celebration, she was heading for the festivities. She was late, having been distracted, and on her way there, she passed by a car accident.

She looked at it in sadness, sorry for the victim, until she blinked in confusion. There were two of them, they looked exactly the same, and the other one was looking at her. He was also talking to her. He was asking her if he was really dead. She was confused and stared at him in scrutiny and was about to reply...until she suddenly saw something white glow in his chest and a feeling he was telling the truth, almost like a voice.

She panicked and ran off. She had to figure out what was going on. She went to an isolated spot...just as she saw the super-myth club's secretary make a divet on a rock. She quickly guessed they had superpowers and the rest of the club had them too. After the celebration, turns out they did. Unfortunately, they had little idea what to do with them (well, most of them). Then Anima heard about all the sightings. With the club's leader busy and nothing to do, she suggested they investigate this.

Other: She has a scwerdriver given to her by her father in her pockets all the time.

Name: Salazar Daniel Drake
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Mythical Ancestor: Sagramore (A Knight of the Round Table known for fighting like a berserker)
Powers and Skills:
Swordsplay: He gains the proficiency and natural skill to use a sword and is rather good at it.
Powered Up 2X: Now he's a rather skilled swordfighter. Not as much as a swordmaster, but still a threat nonetheless.

Rage Boost: If he fights or does anything out of anger, his strength is boosted. At maximum, he can easily destroy the strongest wood. His body also temporarily becomes strong enough to do those feats.
Powered Up 2X: Now he's as strong as the strongest normal human when he's annoyed and can easily destroy steel when he's angry. His durability has also increased in tandem with it.

Berserker: Whenever he's pushed past his anger threshold, he will go berserk. His strength is increased to the point of easily destroying concrete, his durability allowing him to take quite a few hits and do those feats and his reaction time is quicker, though that doesn't neccessarily mean he can easily dodge attacks.
Powered Up 2X: Now his strength is easily superhuman as well as his durability. He can also be reasoned with to calm down or tell who to fight.

Swimming: He's a rather good and strong swimmer, being able to carry at least one person with him if needed.

Climbing: From his hobby of rockclimbing, he's quite adept at it. But that's usually with climbing gear.

Appearance: Daniel is rather tall, stading at 6'3'' already, though that height is a bit shortened from how he always seems to be slouching. His coltish form is fit and he has a scar over his left forearm. His short blond hair is spiky and messy looking, more because it won't stay flat for long rather than from lack of grooming. His eyes are a serene green and his face is a bit angular.

For attire, despite the fact he comes from a rather wealthy family, he wears simple clothes. Though it's more from his activities than being a rebel. He wears a light blue shirt with a white coat over it. He wears black jeans and light blue and white rubber shoes. He also wears glasses to help him see. True, he could get contacts, but he tried them once. He didn't like them. The only thing that hints his wealth is his silver locket in the shape of a three pointed crown with a maroon metal chain, given to him by his mother.

Personality: Salazar Daniel comes off as a meek and almost doormat individual, staying in the sidelines, not protesting when someone wants his lunchmoney or when people throw insults at him. He's more than happy to help people with their projects or homework, the work usually piling up to the point that he exhausts himself on occasion. He often stumbles in conversations and comes off as always nervous.

In truth, it's because he's always keeping his very bad temper in check. He fears on accidently hurting others whenever he's angry and so tries his best to not be, even if the situation is justifiable. He has little to no confidence in himself and doesn't really think much of his life, guilty from the death of his mom.

Overall, he's friendly, gentlemanly, willing to help and cares a lot about others. He has a strong sense of justice but his lack of self confidence, especially in controlling his anger, usually means he can't do much other than maybe becoming someone's punching bag. He prefers to be called Daniel instead of Salazar. He also has this aspiration to travel around the world one day, but has mostly given up on that dream at his mother's death.

History: It's said that the Drake family had been residents of Keydeus since it's founding. Supposedly, they were a wealthy English family and they still are now, usually from running resorts. Daniel was the elder of two children to Drake heir Sebastian Kurt and his wife, Elizabeth. His little sister's name was Morgan Rayanna. He grew up rather normal, if a bit overconfident, during the early years of his life. He became rather close to his mom, who encouraged his dreams.

Then when he was eight years old, his father was on a business venture in Colarado. Bored as his sister was busy with her music club, he asked his mom to explore the nearby terrain and she came along with him. Unfortunately, being overconfident, he decided to go to this particularly unstable ground of a cliff. His mother warned him, but he got mad at her supposedly not believing in his skill and didn't listen. The ground gave way...just as he was pushed away and saw his mother fall.

He wasn't the same anymore, simple as that. His confidence absolutely broke down and he didn't want his anger to overtake him. He started being more quiet, more gentle...and more meek. His father and sister helped as best as they could, but they started getting worried for him. His little sister had him sign up in the super-myth club, probably the closest thing to his dream of travelling world, in the form of the world's different myths. He ended up becoming the club's secretary. He guessed because of his glasses.

It's been eight years since his mother's death and now something else happens. At the celebration of St. John High School's 75th anniversary, he was helping several stands and stores. After a while working, at the seventh he helped, his patience was waning, so when he was moving some crates in the back of the shop, with the shopkeeper's assistant nagging him, he got annoyed. He found he lifted the crate with ease all of a sudden.

When he realized this, he dropped it at the sudden weight gain. He was somehow annoyed at the assistant now chewing him out, upset with himself for getting annoyed in the first place, and shocked at the event at the same time. Afterwards, he went to an isolated spot a ways from the celebration to see if he could do it again. For the first few fifty times, nothing happened. He got frustrated and mad and then punched at a rock...and made a diver on it.

He was confused and upset at the fact his strength increased when angry. But before he could go and maybe ask help from his family, someone else who wanted to go somewhere isolated came along--it was Anima, a fellow super-myth club member. The next thing he knew, after the celebration, the entire club had powers. And then they're going to find out about these cryptids popping up.

Daniel has a feeling things aren't going to be the same anymore.

*crashes in* I am incredibly tired and have to go to Idaho for a few days, but I have never seen a pjo rp and I approve. Any chance I can get a reserve so I can get a character together?

I'm going to try not to use Lucas Moncrief, because I'm in about 7 RPs and five of those are him. (I might use him anyway.)

Why not both?
I'll be gone for a week (I've got this sailing camp thing), but can I have a reserve? I totally want to do Gilgamesh (I'm a huge fan of Fate/Stay Night), but I don't know much about his myth, so I'll have to do some research.

Well, well, glad to have aboard Sketchie! Thanks for the approval. XD Your reserve is noted. Any particular mythological figure in mind before someone takes them?

Edit: Yours too, Vern. Same question applies to you. Glad to see you on board!

Nobody in particular. Also, the link to that power scale thing isn't working for me.

Artemis, I'm thinking Artemis. I'm taking my wife before anyone else can. (Any chance I can also reserve Apollo?)

Other question, are we treating the Greek and Roman gods as separate entities?

Okay, reserve noted. I suggest you make a place holder just in case you take more than one week to make it.

Ah, that question. I forgot about that. Yes, like in Percy Jackson, they're seperate (though I don't really know how they're portrayed in there). Even Apollo. The Greek and Roman ones just have the same name, like many people in life.

WIP #1, some basic stuffs about Apollo child, I'll make it #Better when I'm awake and functioning properly.

Name: Derek van Velde
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Mythological Ancestor: Apollo (God of music, poetry, art, oracles, archery, plague, medicine, sun, light and knowledge, someone stop this man.)
Theme Songs: Eros and Apollo // Studio Killers, Applause // Lady Gaga, Lies // Marina and the Diamonds
Link to Spotify Playlist (Comprised of Studio Killers, Marina and the Diamonds, Lady Gaga, Caravan Palace, etc. Mostly 00s-10s.)

Powers and Skills:
- Light Manipulation: Derek can small create constructs of pure light to aid him. There is a limit to how much he can create. These constructs include energy blasts.
--- Powered x1: The constructs are slightly more powerful, and he can use more of it. He can now bend existing light.
--- Powered x2: The constructs are much more powerful, and he can use A LOT more of it. He can now manipulate himself into flying.
- Knowledge Sense: (AKA, I can't bend the future sight rule so close enough.)
--- Passive: Derek can tell if someone is lying or being manipulative. He is immune to manipulations and lies, as he sees right through them.
--- Active: Through prolonged touch of certain objects, Derek can receive visions of the past, seeing what happened from a third person, outsiders perspective. Some are involuntary, but he can purposely trigger some by focusing deeply on the object, finding a correct wavelength. Not all objects can be used as triggers, and Derek cannot control the time period of the vision.
- Radiance of the Sun: Derek gives off an aura of light. He is easily seen, and people's attention is naturally drawn towards him. He perpetually looks beautiful and radiant, regardless of how he actually looks. His body temperature also runs hotter than normal. In the dark, his skin seems to faintly glow. (In time, he'll be able to manipulate this. Does this mean Derek will be a human flashlight? Yes. Yes it does.)
--- Powered x1: He can start to control the glow, and make it brighter or dimmer. Can't turn it off.
--- Powered x2: He can really control the glow now, and make it much brighter, or turn it off.
- Archery: Derek is really, really good at archery, to the point he is the co-captain of St. John's archery club.
- Rapid Healing: Derek heals from injuries at a quickened pace. In time, he'll be able to use this power to heal others, but also advocate the spreads of plagues.
--- Powered x1: He can start to slightly heal others.
--- Powered x2: He can now advocate the spreads of plagues, by this I mean he can make people very sick at his touch. He cannot do it at a wide scale just yet. He can heal others quite well.
- THAT F*CKING CROW: Crows are drawn to Derek for some odd reason. It bothers the hell out of him. Truth be told, he has the ability to summon them, and keeps doing it on accident. He can communicate with them, though currently they act as Useless Birds.
- Godly Siblings: Derek experiences heightened senses when he is nearby Lexa. This begins when they are within 13 feet of each other, and gets stronger as they get closer. Derek can also sense if Lexa is in distress.
- Transformation: Derek can now transform into a being of pure light. This is slightly different than the glowy power, because now he can glow solidly, or just zip around as a particle/wave thing.
- Musical Skills: Derek has a natural inclination to all things musical, most especially singing and stringed instruments. He can play nearly any stringed instrument he's given, and isn't too bad at brass, woodwind, or percussion, either. His favorites include the harp, viola, piano, and oboe, but he owns and plays others. He is fantastical at singing. His voice and musics are very hypnotic, and people can find themselves naturally entranced in his musicks.
- More stuffs that make you think, wow, does this kid know the meaning of stop? The answer is no, he's an arts student, there comes a point when the arts all start bleeding into each other and you end up doing everything. Source: I am this arts student. Please help me.
--- Acting Skills: Derek is a fantastic actor, especially in the realms of musical theatre, but he's still good in a straight play too.
--- Art Skills: Sketching and painting is Derek's life, he devotes a lot of time to his art and consequently has become quite good at it. Needlepoint falls into this category.
--- Writing Skills: Derek loves writing, especially writing poetry. Love poetry, mostly.
--- Dancing Skills: Partly from musical theatre, partly personal pursuits, Derek is a skilled dancer, especially in modern and ballroom dance.
--- Swordplay: While he's not as good at it as archery, Derek has become a pretty decent swordfighter through both the school and private lessons when he was young. He is also part of St. John's archery club, but due to his position on the archery club, can't captain this one. (And he's okay with that.)
--- Cooking: Derek is an aggressive cook. Really good at it, but also, very aggressive. Do not attempt to confront Derek while he's cooking. It will not end well for you.
- Money: Derek is very rich, partly from a dead father's riches, and a well off working mother.
- Polylingual: Derek adores learning languages, and thus, he does. He's fluent in Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish, and he's working on Swedish.

Appearance: Derek is ridiculously tall. He stands 6'7", towering over nigh everyone he meets. It's because of this that he has a great amount of stage presence. He doesn't have a lot of body fat, resulting in beautifully carved calves, biceps, and forearms. His skin is soft and porcelain white, somehow unscathed by any time spent in the sun -- he doesn't tan, but he doesn't burn, either. He has a defined structure, his collarbones, shoulders, hips, cheekbones, and jaw sharp and smooth. Derek's hair starts as soft blonde waves, but his locks start curling as they reach the tips. His eyes are big and bright and expressive, downturned, and a vibrant shade of green. His nose is defined and sloped, without a bumped bridge, and his lips are soft and pale and full. He keeps himself completely clean shaven, as he hates the feeling of facial hair on himself (though he finds it quite attractive on other guys). He is a work of art, the composition of his body balanced with sharp and soft lines. He is a little off proportion though, he's a little more leg than torso. (But really, he's so tall, no one actually notices. Or cares.)

Derek dresses like your stereotypical gay guy, but he doesn't care one bit about it. He dresses fashionably and in bright colors, and if that presumably makes him gay, then whatever. It's not like they're completely wrong. He wears fitted t-shirts of every color, sometimes blouses, sometimes buttonups, but they're all bright. You won't find a single piece of black or gray in his entire wardrobe. He prefers skinny jeans, and hates baggy clothing, but he'll wear shorts as long as they're not too baggy. He owns pants in various colors, but typically wears white or blue. He most often wears high-top sneakers, also usually in bright colors. His favorite colors are blue, pink, green, and violet, though it isn't uncommon for him to be wearing other colors. Derek also likes wearing women's clothing, and defends his love for skirts and dresses and frills and lace with a passion. It's not uncommon to see Derek in a mint green and white polkadot dress that he sewed himself, or a frilly pink blouse and short shorts. He even wears heels on occasion. His tastes in fashion are often simple, but colorful and bright.

Derek often wears a simple, white scarf. It's a comfort object of his, and it used to belong to his father. In fact, he has several scarves that belonged to his father, but the white one is his favorite.

Personality: Derek is bright. He's happy-go-lucky and bouncy and a ray of sunshine no matter where he goes. He loves making friends, and he loves being surrounded by other people. He can be a bit of a sass, and any insult towards him is bounced off with a quick "gurl, I'm fabulous!" He loves to laugh, he loves making others laugh, he wants to see the world smile. He can get along with almost anyone, and has a large circle of friends. He's a bit of a chatterbox, and has a very femme way to his talk. There is beauty all around, in the earth and in everyone around him. Everyone is beautiful to Derek. Despite being very skilled academically, Derek can be a bit of a ditz, and is easily distracted by glitz and glamour. He's overly trusting, and hurt easily. He forgives even easier. He wants everyone happy, and because of this, often shoves his own problems onto the backburner.

Derek lives on attention. He lives for the applause, he lives for people to love and love him. He's flamboyant and flashy and theatrical. Call him gay and he'll blow you a kiss to prove it. He can be a bit of a primadonna, but he clears up pretty easily if something doesn't go perfectly. He's pretty flexible in that regard. He is very romantic, a natural born flirt, and oftentimes he flirts without even realizing it. He loves being in peopled areas, if you've lost him either look up, or go find the nearest party or mall. Or club, for that matter. He has a fake I.D. (several, even), but doesn't like alcohol. He just wants a good time! However, Derek is known for sleeping around a little bit. This isn't to say he's unfaithful -- if he's in a committed relationship, you can bet everything that he'll give everything he has into a relationship. He's incredibly loyal. But, if he's not in a committed relationship, well, that's another story. Guys, gals, nonbinary pals, he doesn't mind, he'll love 'em all.

As for hobbies, he's incredibly artistic. Sketching, painting, singing, dancing, acting, writing... if it falls into an arts category, there's a big chance Derek probably enjoys it and he's probably good at it too. While he doesn't have a favorite art, he can often be found playing his harp. A softer, quieter side of Derek is shown when he's arting, whether that's drawing or playing music or writing, it doesn't matter. He becomes reflective and thoughtful, throwing himself into his art. He's a poet, he's a sketcher, he's a musician, he is art. Much of his art either centers around love or death or both. He's not a fan of sports, he finds them boring, but he likes swordplay and archery because of how delicate they are. (He's very good at golfing and bowling, though. Lexa hates it.) He loves listening to music as well as playing it, and adores nearly every kind of music. Studio Killers, Caravan Palace, Panic! at the Disco, Sufjan Stevens, Lady Gaga, Beethoven, they're all on his various playlists -- and boy does he have a lot of playlists. He makes playlists for just about anything. He tastes do lie in primarily pop or electronic music (he adores electroswing). He loves shopping, and kittens and other cute things are a weakness for him. He also really, really likes food and cooking and eating. As mentioned earlier, however, he is very aggressive while preparing food, so it's best not to be negative around him. He often cross-stitches if his mind is particularly busy and he needs to clear his head.

Derek is not impervious to negativity, though. While he'll brush off a negative comment on the spot, it eats away at him behind closed doors. Strangers' unkind words mean nothing to him, but even the slightest criticism from a good friend is enough to hurt him. He's terrible at cutting ties with people, even when he knows he should. He's been in a myriad of toxic friendships and relationships because he doesn't want to leave. He'd rather lie to himself that everything is fine, nothing is wrong, rather than talk it out and try to salvage something. He hates admitting that he's hurt, it takes a lot to even get a "I'm not doing as good as I usually am" from him. Derek cries when he's in distress, but he's very quiet about it. He is incredibly sensitive about his father. Very little angers him, but if his friends, his sister, or the memory of his father is being pushed around, he won't stand for it. When he uses his height to his advantage, Derek can be very intimidating. Derek is terrified of being alone. He's terrified of abandonment. He will never break down if there are others around, but if you catch him out of anyone's sight, he doesn't just break -- he shatters.

Despite all of this, Derek is brave. Deep down, he is kind hearted, loyal, and very brave. He does get scared, let that be said. Yes, he does have the occasional breakdown because he get so afraid. But his internal drive, the things he values the most, are bravery and kindness. He is protective, and while his main goal is to have everyone feel loved, he understands that sometimes justice needs to prevail over mercy. He is a happy, bright child, who wants to be loved and wants to love.

History: Derek was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands, to Pieter and Marie van Velde. He was born into wealth, and his parents doted on him no matter what. This isn't to say Derek got what he wanted when he wanted it, the van Velde's were patient and fair and kind. (And ridiculously tall. Pieter was 6'6", and his wife reached 6'1". Derek comes from a long line of tall Dutchmen.) It was clear Derek would probably be an only child, due to complications after pregnancy, the doctor advised Marie not to have any more children. She was heartbroken, as she always dreamed of having a family, but she didn't let it get to her. She had a boy, and if that was all she could ever have, that was more than enough. Derek couldn't be put into a momma's boy or daddy's boy category, he became very close to both of his parents, very quickly. The van Veldes were a happy family, full of life and love. Sure, there were disagreements, there were sleepless nights, but contention was resolved quickly and peacefully. Pieter and Marie strived to be the best parents they could be, and they constantly tried to show Derek examples of bravery and kindness. Even when Derek was a young child, Pieter would tell him that he wanted only three things from him: to be respectful, to be kind, and to be brave.

As a little boy, Derek wasn't too interested in trucks and cars and other traditionally little boy things. He just didn't care. He wanted dresses and barbies and lipstick. His parents were perfectly fine with this, and shifted their tactics accordingly. He didn't care at preschool when the other boys made fun of him for his prince dress -- after all, he got all the girls! Who cares if they had cooties, the girls played better anyway. Marie was happy that her boy was more open to try everything. She was worried as a new mother that she'd be pushed aside, that masculinity would dominate the household, but it never happened. Derek loved being in the kitchen, and was always willing to help his mother make dinner. He could be found when Marie was sewing, watching his mother with careful eyes. He was insistent on learning needlepoint, just like his mom, and Marie happily complied. Derek and Pieter had a special bond as well. Long walks through the park, Pieter asking Derek what he saw, and what was beautiful. Pieter taught Derek of beauty and light, and that everything, everything was beautiful. Pieter was a painter, and it wasn't long before Derek also wanted to pick up that art. There would often be warm spring days where you could find father and son, painting the scene of tulips by a river.

Coming from money, however, does have an odd effect on a kid's life. While he was perfectly content with painting and cross-stitch, Marie and Pieter felt the need to have him do other things, broaden his horizons a little bit. It was clear that Derek loved music, so, at the young age of six, they started him on the harp. Now, you may think this is an odd thing to do, but when you're rich, you do whatever. A year later, he also began playing the viola. Derek did very well in school, both academically and creatively, but he absolutely hated PE. For one thing, Derek was taller than everyone else, but he also was a little awkward, as though he wasn't at home in his own body. Games involving balls embarrassed Derek, because he couldn't catch, throw, or kick things to save his seven-year-old life. So what's the solution to this, you ask? Archery and fencing, of course! ("No, Sketchie, that's not the solu--" shhh I do what I want.) Marie signed him up for both archery and fencing classes, and, as with his previous pursuits, immediately took to it. Partly as a challenge, partly because they were beautiful!

Derek had a good childhood. His skills advanced throughout his elementary school career, and into junior high. He discovered acting in 6th grade, and jumped right into it. It was home for him. His artistic skills began to bleed everywhere, and he found himself writing poetry, singing, dancing, and carrying a sketchbook nigh everywhere he went. His parents were happy, and their family dynamic felt harmonious. Pieter and Derek kept walking together, Marie and Derek would still cross-stitch together. Derek loved his parents, and their whole family was very open with each other. It wasn't any problem when Derek mentioned he had a crush on a guy, nothing changed, there was no earth shattering revelation. It was just Derek being Derek, and that was good. He had a large circle of friends, and life couldn't seem to be any better. And of course, the minute I say that, things have to get worse.

When Derek was 12, Pieter fell very ill. He was diagnosed with a certain type of stomach cancer, but it had gone unnoticed for so long and had spread. To paraphrase an author who wrote with cancer, you could say Pieter lit up like a Christmas tree under the PET scan that revealed everything. Derek understood, but he didn't understand. The next three months was a uphill war with a pre-determined winner. Pieter fought as hard as he could for his son and his wife, he fought the pain and the confusion and the pain, the pain, the pain, the van Veldes knew it was only a matter of time before reality had to shatter.

Pieter spent his final hours on a hospital bed, Marie on one side of him, Derek on the other. It was quiet and peaceful. Pieter kissed his wife one last time, quietly reassuring her that it would be alright if she moved on. That he wanted her to move on. Because while he loved her with all he had, he couldn't bear to watch her go through life so alone. Pieter turned to his son, who was clutching has hand as hard as he could, already in tears. Pieter reminded Derek of the three things he wanted from him. To be respectful. To be kind. To be brave. He reminded Derek to look for the beauty in everything, even in death. His sentences were glittered with "I love you"s, his face painted confident but you could tell that leaving his family hurt more than cancer ever could. Pieter went quietly into the night, leaving Derek to mourn by his side, having to be dragged away.

The next month was a bit of a nightmare for Derek. He wasn't exactly used to heartbreak, and the past few months were more than enough to make up for that. He was angry, short-tempered, and could barely focus. Slowly, Derek began to heal, but it was a rocky process, and took a very long time. He began to be himself again, but it wasn't long before his world fell apart again. A month before Derek turned 13, he and Marie moved to Keydeus Town. Marie was an engineer, and she found a job in a nearby big city. She also began going to school again, being accepted to the nearby university. It's not like she necessarily needed to go back to school, but she felt like it would be a good idea, just in case engineering falls through. Derek wasn't fond of Keydeus at all -- it was nothing like busy Amsterdam. He adored the occasional trip out to where Marie worked/studied, because it was the closest thing to home.

Then came Mr. Valencia. Two months after Marie started school, she came home with a man on her arm. This is really what Derek didn't like. As the story goes, Mr. Valencia was a movie director who had decided to go to the same school as Marie, for similar reasons. They were put next to each other in a math class, as van Velde and Valencia are right next to each other in the alphabet. Mr. Valencia had also lost his wife, and he and Marie found solace in each other. Mr. Valencia wasn't too bad, Derek supposed, but it was his daughter that bothered him. Lexa was loud and uncultured and a little hurtful. It was only a few months later that Marie and Mr. Valencia got married, combining their halves of the family. Mr. Valencia was happy to have a son, and Marie a bigger family, but their new family was nothing like the Amsterdam based van Veldes.

Derek and Lexa hated each other. It didn't help that they were both starting at St. Johns the upcoming fall. They both became relatively popular in their respective circles (and, really, it's hard not to notice someone when they're 6'7), and fortunately, their circles didn't really collide. Derek was in Drama, Choir, Orchestra, Fencing, and with the social crowd. Lexa preferred her sporty group and sporty interests. Unfortunately, archery was a strong point for both parties, and neither could give it up. Tensions rose between the two as they were both co-assistant captains sophomore year, as their skill seemed to be unmatched, even by each other. Their performance began to suffer as familial contentions got in the way. Derek thought that Lexa had invaded what was his space, and he was very angered about this.

Derek was sick of Lexa bossing him around all the time, acting as though she was superior to him in every way, and throwing a fit when he proved her wrong. He hated her sarcastic remarks, and her shoot-first-ask-later attitude. The tension came to a head one day, in one of their usual arguments. Lexa, unknowing of Pieter's fate, taunted Derek, telling him his father abandoned them, likely to pursue other women. Suddenly, it seemed as though Derek had a complete change of personality. He cornered Lexa, telling her that "No, b*tch, my father's f*cking dead." Lexa apologized, revealing that she never knew her mother. Derek, though still angry, immediately backed off. They bonded finally over the loss of parents, and slowly but surely began to mend their relationship. It was a long and rocky process, and they still have their tussles, but it isn't nearly as bad as before. Their archery skills snapped back to normal, and, when they worked together, even improved. By their junior year, things seemed to be smoothed over, and they were made co-captains at the beginning of the year.

Because history is supposed to be linear but certain events go longer than others and time's a mess, we have to go back to sophomore year. While theatre and fencing and archery and EVERYTHING ELSE is fun and all, Derek wanted something lesser paced and laid back. He heard of the Super-Myths Club, and was intrigued. He joined up, and found that it was quite fun, and there were some good people to make friends with. It was the laid-back friends club he was looking for, and hey, myths are pretty damn awesome. So that happened while Lexa and Derek still weren't on good terms, but now let's go back to junior year which is also called the present. 75th anniversary. Fun times, right? Not when you're part of the Super-Myths Club, because we're the writers and we say so.

Derek was having a fun time, the kissing booth was wonderful, and while he had no idea where Lexa went, he was sure that she was also having a good time. He found he was getting pretty thirsty, after all, a celebration does that to you. He found himself at a snacks table, pouring himself a glass of lemon punch. Leaning against the table, he took a moment to watch the party scene unfolding before him. Suddenly, however, he began to feel very dizzy. His vision went black, before a flash of bright light engulfed him. He could see clearly his friend Alain, another member of the Super-Myths Club, drinking something from the same bowl. Alain seemed... a little surprised at what he drank, as though maybe it wasn't the drink he thought it was..? Before he could do anything, however, Derek was hit with the bright light, and he was back where he was. That was... odd, but it could be important. He took a whiff of the drink in his hand, and was repulsed by alcohol. He was a little shocked, vision and all, but he slowly backed off, throwing his drink away as he exited the area.

And there, standing nearby, was a crow. DAMMIT. WHY THE CROW. GO AWAY.

Other: Bisexual, male leaning. Ambidextrous, but uses his right hand more often out of convenience. Nine minutes younger than Lexa.

Derek drives a happy, mint green 1971 Volkswagen beetle. Admittedly, it is a sight to see the giant get in and out of it, but he adores his car. He's a little bit of a purist, and really does not like water-cooled Volkswagens.

WIP'ing for now.

Gender: Male
Age: 18
Mythological Ancestor: Dionysus
Powers and Skills: Party animal from hell.
- Alcokinesis: He can turn any beverage into alcohol of his choice.
- Influental charm: He can use this power to induce others with a spontaneus feeling of celebration or lust. Awesome at parties.
- Charisma: Alain is a very charismatic person, and is capable of talking people into more or less anything.
- Immunity: Ironically, Alain's alcohol tolerance is through the roofs. This also renders him immune to most mind controlling, altering or influencing forces.
- Hand to hand combat: He is fairly skilled in close combat due to his habits of working out, with martial arts being his workout of choice.
- Dancing: He's a pretty good dancer.
QciQ3CR.png

Appearance: Alain is a pretty tall, slim-looking young man. He has a very fit body due to his workout habits, and because he really just want to look good. His skin is slightly tanned since he spends a lot of time outdoors with friends or at parties. His pale blonde hair is kept at a medium length, and doesn't really require much effort to look decent, resulting in him usually having a laid-back hairstyle, yet not one that says "I don't know what fixing my hair means". His eyes are bright blue, and always have a somewhat laidback or smug look to them, which again is brought out more by his thick eyebrows. His face is overall pretty slim, and he might look a year or two older than he really is. He doesn't grow a beard or moustache due to poor genetics, which he is very much happy for.

For clothing, Alain goes for the typical Californian look that makes people sigh and think "He's living the life!". This basically means that he dresses lightly after the weather, which is sunny more often than not. His go-to outfit consists of a pair of short light blue shorts and a pale reddish tank top. He likes to show off his physique as much as possible, which is also part of the reason why he dresses like he does. He wears simple practical footwear in the form of black snickers. He also wears a pair of light blue headphones aroudn his neck that is connected to his iPod, for those times when you just don't give a rats *** about what the people around you are saying. He also wear several colored bracelets on his left arm that he obtained from a variety of night clubs.

Personality: Alain often come across as a lazy, good for nothing teen with no ambition, and though this is mostly true, he is far from lazy. He is the weird mutated offspring between a night owl and a social butterfly, as he is more or less always out downtown where the party at, spending half the night, if not more, partying or hanging with his friends, drinking away his parents money. He definitely has a rebellious streak, and often go against the norm, if possible, even though he has his limits. He doesn't bother listening to reason, and being an adult is a thing for the future. In Alains eyes, he's young, he's hot and he has his whole life ahead of himself! Even though he has absolutely no idea what he wants to do for a living, not that he has much to choice from considering his grades are rather poor. He ditches school to hang out with like-minded friends at hangout spots like malls, alleys, or at the beach. He has gotten himself drunk more than once at such gatherings, which has made him run into a few conflicts with the police. The reason behind his rebellious attitude is that he was raised from an early age in a very closed up, secluded environment, and was expected to grow into a polite, a4 type of person.

He is easy to get along with, and value people who are themselves instead of trying to be someone they're not. His outgoing nature makes him a rather talkative person, though he doesn't always have very smart things to say. He doesn't always think before he acts, and has impulsive tendencies, which can either work out great for him, or get him into some sort of a mess. His impulsive nature also makes him speak before thinking sometimes, which makes him comr across as one of those brutally honest types. He tries being open to anyone, and is friendly to everyone, as long as everyone is friendly to him. If not, he just leaves people alone. He is not one to hold grudges, and tends to forgive rather easily. Despite this, he is not a naive type, and he has enough social skills to know what people are worth spending time with.

His outgoing nature has also made him quite the smooth talker, and he has a certain charisma about him that makes him easy to talk to, and gets people to like him. Because of this, he has also developed a somewhat manipulative tendency if there is something he wants. He has no issue with using people for his own gain, and is fairly confident in his ability to do so. Allthough this is something he rarely ever does against people he genuinely trusts or likes.

He has an interest for music and dancing, and has considered trying out DJ-ing at some point in his life. Despite that, he really feels more comfortable on the dancefloor with a dry martini in one hand, and an attractive person in his other. His outgoing and social nature has resulted in him falling in love with personalities, rather than genders, much to his parents dismay. He can be quite the casanova at the club, as well as outside of it. When not with friends or at a party, it is fairly common to find Alain at the gym. He have been taking martial arts classes since his early teens when he got into a fight with a bully and lost miserably, allthough he now trains in order to stay in shape.

History: Alain was born into a wealthy family living in London. His mother was a doctor, and his father was a renowned businessman. As such, they rarely had the time to spend with a young Alain, who had to be taken care of by a plethora of nannies. He didn't care thoug, his nannies were amazing, and taught him to be himself, instead of whoever wants him to be. This in turn conflicted with the little parenting he was subjected to by his parents, who tried to forge him into a mini-me version of his father. Luckily, he could just be himself when the nannies were around, and they made his early life a lot simpler. He learned to act like an extravagant snobb, while he could be himself otherwise. It was a win-win for everyone! Albeit a little confusing in the longer run.

However, the good times wouldn't last forever. His nanny was put in prison due to having been a russian spy, much to everyones surprise. after this, His mother decided to stay at home and tae care of her son. It wasn't too bad, as his mother wasn't as strict as his father. They lived like this for about 3 years, and though he managed, Alain noticed that he didn't like the way his life was going.
This, too wouldn't last forever, and once Alain turned 10, his mother died in a car crash, prompting his father to moving to a different country. Eventually ending up in Florida, Alains father quickly remarried to a woman looking so stereotypical it was no secret she wasn't out to find her prince charming, despite her claims. She tried babysitting Alain while his father worked, but that mostly ended up with her dragging him around shopping etc, which Alain absolutey hated. Alain though, managed to find friends of his own. after nagging his father every day of every month for about a year, he was allowed to go into public school, so he could actually do something that did not include playing the piano or locating the salad fork.

In school, Alain at first did pretty decent. He got along with everyone, and nobody had anything against him. Despite this, the pressure from home prompted Alain to be dragged towards the kind of people one shouldn't hang around. We're talking that 19 year old guy who had flunked for two years, the very airheaded blondes, and the party animals in general. At 13, he was at his first night club. It was a poorly guarded event, and sneaking in undetected was easy. Here, Alain felt at home, for some reason. He didn't know if it was because of the volume, the flickering lights, the crowd of people, or the hopeless amount of tequila he had before getting there, but he knew that this was where he belonged.

After this event, Alain started to frequent night clubs and parties around town, eventually getting a fake ID to simplify things. Of course, while this was going on, he was doing worse and worse in school, and his father didn't even know since he never attended the parent/student conferances. The blonde barbie who actually attended said meetings, had no idea what was going on, and only sat there fiddling with her phone until the meeting was over. Poor woman, at least she tried. The only reason Alain hadn't flunked was because of his charismatic skills. He was very good at talking his way up a grade or two, though he don't bother doing anything besides that. In Alains eyes, he is finally at a happy place, considering he was the 4th most popular face in town with the younger audiences, always being spotted at clubs, in places related to a variety of scandals, some of which he was part of himself, etc. Unfortunately, the teachers at school had decided that, in order to get extra credits, Alain had to take up an obligatory club activity. after a lot of arguing, trying to start a Bartending club, Alain accepted defeat, and was placed with the history club.

At another point in his life, the school was hosting a 75 year anniversary, and a big event was hosted. More like a festival. It was pretty dull, but at least there were oppurtunities to party a little. He had tried to sneak alcohol in to the event, but was busted along with some of his friends. Instead, he drowned his sorrows in lime punch, which somehow tasted like it had vodka in it. Alain spent the evening, and night, dancing on the dancefloor with a variety of other students, parents and teachers. As the night progressed, the party got wilder, with everyone laughing, dancing franatically and.. drinking? Was there alcohol here now? Alain managed to find its source, which was that bowl of lemon punch he had seen earlier. As he expected, it was full of vodka, much to his delight. Half the schools staff, older students and parents were now drunk, dancing around like there was no tomorrow. It all had a certain feel to it, and Alain gave in to his urge to just get carried away, thus ending up dancing until 5 AM. After the party was over, the other patrons seemed confused, and everyone had to sit down with sore feet. Alain only laughed as he waltzed home with a bottle in his hand, like he had done a million times before.

the following day after he somehow managed to get himself to school, he heard that there were a lot of weird incidences happening last night. He admitted to people he hadn't noticed anything out of the ordinary, and brushed off people saying they had seen him in a crowd of people with pitch black eyes, dancing like crazed barbarians. Some had filmed it with their phones, and that was some serious dancing that was going on. As everyone else seemed to not remember a thing, Alain remembered all of it, thinking that he might, somehow could be the reason behind that. Granted, he had turned the punch into vodka, but that was only one thing. Despite how awesome his newfound powers were, he was slightly scared. He was somewhat relieved when he heard tat other members of the nerd club har experienced similar things. He called them the nerd club because he really hated having to be part of a club, but he kind of liked most people in the club.

Other:
- He speaks in a heavy British accent
- He's Bisexual
- He carries a fake ID, and has the mature look to get away with it.

I'm a mythology nerd, so this is right up my alley! I'd like to reserve the Greek goddess Persephone, if that's possible. And if vampires descendants are a thing too, then I'd like to reserve Vlad the Impaler too.

Hold me on reserve? I won't have time to think about this until after my exam Thursday (but then I'll have lots of time). I've only formally studied Greek & Roman myths (which do depict certain gods quite differently btw!) so I'll probably need to follow the trend and grab from that pool, dunno who though. x3

Reserves all noted! Once again, I can't stop saying this, glad to have you guys on board!

@AzerWrath: ... I didn't realize that. XD Now if only I can figure out what you mean by Enuma Elish...

@Samayouru: Yup! Oh~ Persephone is one of my favorites. And yeah, Vlad is fine. I'm glad there's at least one non deity ancestor.

I was actually planning on having a character with Eros' power, so that would be fun if we had two Andre type characters. lol.
Went for something else for the same reason you're hesitating though.

Monster Guy

Fairy type Trainer
Name: André Bellamy
Age: 18
Gender: Male

Mythological Ancestor Aphrodite (Greek Goddess of Love and Beauty)

Powers and Skills:

Amokinesis: André has the ability to control the emotion of love and desire. With this ability, he can attract others simply by walking by, as well as manipulate the love of people, animals and other creatures, and detect love within others. It is resistable.

Charmspeak: Using his voice, André is able to influence others to do what he wants. Eventually, charmspeak wears off and the person has no recollection of why they did what they were commanded to do. People with strong wills or intentions are unaffected, and the more powerful the being, the stronger their resistance.

Beauty: André is able to radiate beauty, regardless of how he may look. No matter how he looks at any given time he will always be perceived as being handsome/beautiful/Attractive/Good Looking/Cute whatever adjective you want to use.

Magical Roses: Aphrodite is associated with roses. He can produce roses out of thin air to give to people. The roses smell like whatever scent the person he's giving them to likes.

Doves: Doves are one of Aphrodite's symbols. André can summon and communicate with doves.

Bilingual: He speaks French and English perfectly. He normally speaks with a noticeable French accent, and uses French words a lot, but he can also speak without the accent. He is learning the other romance languages. (Spanish, Italian, etc.)

Man of a thousand voices: André is very good at imitating different types of voices.

Fashion: André knows how to do hair, make-up, and style clothes.

Money: He is the son of two movie stars, and is one in his own right. He has lots of money.

Fame: He is famous. Sometimes it works to his advantage, sometimes it doesn't.

Acting Skills: Contrary to what most might think, André can in fact act. He can even cry on cue, and can convincingly portray many emotions.

Charisma: Even without Charmspeak, André is a good talker.

Other random stuff: He picked up a lot of skills from being in different films. He knows how to play piano, sing, dance, ride horses, fence, and possibly some other things that will likely be completely irrelevant to this RP.

mQUMwvp.png

Appearance: André is a tall young man, standing at exactly six feet. Although he doesn't like to do so, he excersises a little bit so that he doesn't look like a fat slob, and is physically fit and toned as a result. He doesn't spend too much time in the sun, so he has a fair complexion. He keeps his blond hair short, and neatly styled at all times. There is never a hair out of place. He has a round boyish face, a small nose, and large baby blue, almond shaped eyes, which he claims are his best feature. His mouth is usually in some kind of smile. Except for his hair and eyebrows, he has no hair on his upper body. He's also pierced his earlobes so he can wear earrings.

André is very much into fashion. He likes expensive designer clothing, and he usually dresses more formally than most people his age. Being famous, he has a certain reputation to uphold, so he makes sure to look his best wherever he goes. His fancy wardrobe mostly consists of button down dress shirts, vests, trousers, and dress shoes. He even wears a tie and blazer often. He always keeps his clothes neat and tidy. It is rare to see him in a simple T-shirt and jeans. His wardrobe contains a lot of different colors, but pink is by far his favorite. These days, André wears all pink from head to toe. His current outfit consists of a frilly pink dress shirt that fits him well. In place of a tie, he wears an elaborate necklace made from pink pearls. On top of that he wears a magenta trenchcoat. He also wears a gold and diamond studded timepiece around the right wrist, and a pink diamond cuff bracelet around the left wrist. A pink diamond ring on a pink band sits on his right ring finger. On the bottom he wears tight magenta trousers held up by a fuchsia leather belt with a gold buckle. His choice of footwear include a pair of fuchsia dress shoes with bright pink spats on them. He accesorizes this with his signature pink beret on his head that has a magenta heart barette attached to it, and a pair of pink diamond stud earrings decorating his ears. He carries around a pink heart shaped messenger bag that has a magenta ribbon tied into a bow attached to it, and he wears a pair of pink cat's-eye sunglasses, with diamond studded rims.

André has developed a taste for diamonds and gemstones. He will often be seen wearing various pieces of jewelry, regardless of whether it was intended for a man or not. He enjoys experimenting with fashion, and likes trying out many different things including wearing women's clothing, wigs, and sometimes make-up. He feels women get nicer clothes than men do, and it lets him get away with wearing more jewelry than a man can. He can pass for a convincing woman when he's all made up. He often wears rose scented perfume.

Personality: First off, André has tastes that are usually considered femmine. His favorite color is pink, and a lot of his things are pink and have hearts on them. He likes fashion, and he has a taste for cute things, and he's not really emabrrased by it. He really doesn't understand why boys in this country have an issue with guys liking that kind of thing. He just guesses it's because they're insecure about their masculinity. André is very obsessed with beauty and looking good. As a movie star, he feels he has to maintain a certain image, and because people don't want to be friends with an ugly person. He always makes sure he is perfectly groomed before leaving the house, and as such it takes him a while to get ready in the morning. Because he puts so much effort into looking good, he hates getting dirty, as it ruins all the work he put in.

He really values his relationships. He doesn't like to be alone, so he goes to great lengths to make friends and fans everywhere he goes. He often attends parties to meet new people. For the same reason, he also likes love and romance, and as such he comes across as a flirt. He openly hits on people (he's openly bisexual, so guys as well as girls) he considers to be attractive, though he is usually more polite about it then most guys, because he is genuinely looking for a relationship. He also likes pairing people up who he thinks would make a good couple, regardless of gender and orientation, and jokingly teasing the two involved.

He can be charming and manipulative when he wants to be. He uses his charm, charisma, and the occasional bribe to get what he wants from people. He knows just what to say to win people over, which sometimes helps him get his way in many situations. While he is polite and well-mannered, and typically acts friendly towards others, he treats people like objects to make himself feel better. He can be self-centered, and disregards how other people feel and what they need if it's not benefiting him somehow. It's not something he does consciously, it's just how he is. He was brought up believing that people's affections can be bought, and it's worked out for him so far.

Having become used to being given whatever he wants, André has been spoiled by wealth. He has an appreciation for the finer things in life. He wears expensive clothes, gets driven around in fancy cars, takes exotic vacations, and freely spends money like it grows on trees. He is very generous with his money, since he has so much of it, trading a a few dollars for something better is no problem. He's also found it much easier to woo people with money. He especially enjoys being famous, and being adored by many. He doesn't mind the the craziness that comes with being a cleberty either. Bad publicity is still publicity, as long as people are talking about you, then that's all that matters. André has always been accustomed to life on top. His worst fear is losing it all, whether that be ruining his movie career, or losing his hard earned friends.

History: Born in Paris, France, André's childhood is not what one would consider normal. His parents are both famous actors, and since his birth he's been in the lap of luxury. Due to his parents being famous actors, and therefore often busy, Andre rarely ever saw them. He was also homeschooled for a while, and was rarely able to leave the house. He felt lonely being in a big empty mansion with only caretakers that were too busy to keep the kid entertained. Andre's parents brought him expensive toys to make it up to him. For a while the shiny new toy would make him feel less lonely, but soon he would get bored of it, and the loneliness came back. He thought something better would solve the problem. When his parents announced a new trip, the young boy cried, and of course, his parents brought him a new, better, more expensive gift once they got back. The same thing happened, it would make him feel good for a while, but soon he'd get bored again. He would continue to ask and receive more and more expensive things throughout his childhood. It was great, and André grew accustomed to wealth and having anything he wanted on a whim. It was nice, but it still wasn't enough, the bad feelings still didn't go away.

At some point, his parents thought it was a good idea for him to start interacting with other kids, so they enrolled him in a private school. When Ande started going to school, and meeting other people his age, he got a lot of attention from them due to the fancy toys he had that they couldn't afford. At Recess, every kid wanted to play with him. Being with others made him feel just as good, if not better, than opening up a brand new toy. It was then he thought that if new toys won't help, then maybe people will. He made lots and lots of friends, and André was happy for a while. Soon his family had to move away, and Andre was transferred to a new school. Having lost all the friends he made, André was upset for a while, but he soon worked to make new friends in this new place, and he was happy again. Then his parents moved once more, and the cycle continued. He was never truly content though, because he always had to leave all his friends behind.

At the age of thirteen, André's family moved to Hollywood to further their careers. There, his parents encouraged their son to follow in their footsteps, and become an Actor. They put him in acting classes, and used their connections to pull a few strings, and get him a starring role in a major film. He didn't want to do this at first, but did it anyway to please his parents. While making the movie, he came to enjoy being on a movie set, and acting. When his first movie went to theaters, and became a box-office success, he enjoyed all the fame and attention it brought him. Or more specifically, he liked all the adoring fans. He also enjoyed the piles of money, expensive things, and all the glamour that being a movie star brings. He decided to pursue a film career, while also attending school when he wasn't filming. After doing that for a few years, he became as famous and successful as his parents. He is often chased by Papparazzi and crazed fans, and he is also often the subject of ridiculous rumors in gossip magazines. Usually, they involve him spending absurd amounts of money on something lavish, being seen at a party, or romance rumors with various other celeberties. (Not long after hitting puberty, he discovered how attractive people were, and the joys of love. Although he's never had a serious romantic relationship, much to his disappointment.) He doesn't mind all the craziness that much. As long as he has all his adoring fans, then all is well.

André has everything now, devoted fans, a luxurious life, and piles of money at his disposal. Despite this, he still isn't satisfied. He decided what he was missing were real friends. So, he decided to take a break from filming for a bit to finish high school with normal people. The High School he ultimately ended up attending was St. Johns High School in California. Being a famous movie star, André was immediately popular with a lot of the other students. He made lots of new friends, and even joined the drama club. André knew these people only wanted to be his friend because he was famous, but he still enjoyed the attention all the same.

André had thought by going to this place, the papparazzi wouldn't be able to find him, but he was wrong. When they got wind of where the young movie star was attending school, they followed him, and swarmed in to get his picture. It caused quite a scene. André didn't mind, but the principal did, and André was placed in detention, just to make an example of what would happen if they came back and caused trouble. André didn't think the punishment was fair, but dealt with it. While serving detention time, he met a couple of people who happened to be part of the Super-Myth club. He appreciated their company, and was intrested by the things they brought up, prompting him to join said Super-Myth club the next day. It was there where he met many of her friends. It was his the closest thing he had to real friends.

Then came the 75th anniversary. André had volunteered to run the kissing booth. Who wouldn't want a chance to make out with a famous movie star? The line was long, and filled with teenage fangirls (and the occasional gay guy.) During a break, André flirtatiously blew a kiss at the captain of the football team. He knew the guy was straight, but he enjoyed teasing him anyway. André couldn't believe what happened next. The guy suddenly dropped what he was doing, and started passionately making out with the guy he was with. His best friend. André laughed out loud at the sight. He found the situation funny, but strange at the same time. Regardless, he quickly brushed it off.

Things got weirder when André went back to his kissing booth duty. After kissing somebody, the person would suddenly fell in love with the first person they saw, and started making out with them. It wasn't long before everyone in the room was in the throes of passion. André did find this odd. Had he done this? How? But at the same time, he couldn't help enjoying the sight of everyone making out, and finding it hilarious. Eventually, the effects did wear off. When it did, new relationships had formed and others ended. Some people even came out as gay.

By the end of the day, André heard people talk about other unusual things happening during the festivities. That evening, he found out that he wasn't the only one. Every single member of the myth club had magical powers of their own. André was actually excited about this development. It was like something that happened in a movie he was in. He couldn't wait to find out more about the new magical powers he had developed.

Night Triumphant
Can I reserve for a descendant of Fenrir the Wolf? I have three characters whom I'm trying to decide between...all of whom would suit the role pretty well. XD
