Hello I'm new here, sorry if I posted this on the wrong section but...

Ok so here's the situation. I have a lonely natured larvitar with perfect IV on attack, special attack, and special defense. I really want to to go 252 EV on attack and special attack but I think that will reduce my maximum speed to like 136.. I'd like people's opinion on this situation please. I'm not sure if having 136 speed is ideal for a tyranitar so I hope some of the more experienced on this forum can give me advice, thanks in advance!

Tyranitar@Leftovers
Adamant
EVs: 252 att, 200 speed and 58 hp
Dragon Dance
Rock Slide
EQ
Aerial Ace

Correct nature is better than 31 IVs.

Is lonely really that bad for the nature? I think my max speed will be somewhere around 199 with 252 EV pts. :(. Will speed benefit Tyranitar alot? I was thinking of higher special attack for elemental damage against it's weakness. As for moveset, I really haven't decided yet so if you guys can help with that too it'd be really helpful!
(sorry...so newbie)

Uh... since I just noticed this.. Can anyone tell me how to tell if an attack relies on attack or special attack stat for damage? I had always thought that things like earthquake and shadow ball relied on special attack for damage...

Depends on the type.

Physical Attack: Normal/Fighting/Ground/Poison/Flying/Bug/Rock/Ghost/Steel

Special Attack: Fire/Water/Electric/Grass/Ice/Psychic/Dragon/Dark

However, there are some attacks that don't run off of Attack/Special Attack ( Seismic Toss, Night Shade, Endeavor are a few examples), and some moves really have "no type", meaning that it will hit any Pokemon as a neutral hit, regardless of type (Future Sight, Doom Desire, Beat Up, Struggle).

Adamant is better, and a -Defense nature doesn't help Tyranitar that much (especially when it resists 4 physical types)...

Tyranitar needs to be adamant

252/attack and speed EVs, 6 in HP.

then the perfect moveset would be:

earthquake
aerial ace
rock slide
dragon dance

(do not add focus punch!!!!!)

THe moveset up here just PWNS and PWNS
