Name Ideas Help

After reading Chris' fic, Starbolts, I thought of my own mutants/metahumans/whatevers. I showed them to Chris and he liked them and convinced me to write a fic about them. But before I do so I need some help with a few names. Here are my characters so far:

Lunar/Astron Celest
Power – Controls the moon so can cause lunar eclipses as well as mess with the water in the oceans and such (cause the moon's phases effect those or something).
Age – 21
Looks – White skin and hair, silver eyes.
Other – Leader of Aura. Long time rival of Solar.

MF/Blair Ola
Power – Senses mutants all over the world but can't sense them once Annel neutralizes their powers.
Age – 18
Looks – Brown skin and eyes, black hair.
Other – MF’s short for Mutant finder, a lame name thought of by Kenneth. Found Kenneth when he was thirteen and his mom adopted him. He likes Annel which Kenneth knows and teases him about.

Neutral/Annel Yawa
Power – Neutralizes things including mutant powers as well as gravity giving her and others a sort of flying ability. Can be temp or perma.
Age – 18
Looks – Gray skin, hair, and eyes. Hair’s a little darker and eyes are a little lighter.
Other – Lives in on of the Ola's rented rooms.

Crayon/Kenneth Ola
Power – Can change the color of anything. It can be any color including making things transparent so he can kind of turn himself and others invisible.
Age – 13
Looks – His skin, hair, and eyes were originally white, red, and green, respectively but he's constantly changing them.
Other – Was adopted by the Ola's when he was eight.

? Ola
Power – Doesn’t have one.
Age – 40
Looks – Brown skin and eyes, red hair.
Other – Blair’s mom and Kenneth's adopted mom. She's not a mutant but knows her sons are. She rents out rooms to Neutral and any mutants that visit.

Solar/Raymond Helios
Power – Can control the sun. This includes solar eclipses, making it hotter and brighter in certain places to make it hot for his enemies and partially blinding them for a bit, and making things burn like some kids do with the sun's rays going through a magnifying glass or something (couldn't think of a better way to describe it).
Age – 21
Looks – White skin, yellow hair and eyes.
Other – Leader of the evil team. Long time rival of Lunar.

Psych/Brian Agon
Power – Reads minds and causes illusions. The illusions are usually of things people really fear or hate or they're just really psychotic hence the second psych word.
Age – 20
Looks – White skin, purple hair and eyes.
Other – His codename's short for two things, psychic and psycho.

Aquiana/Aquiana Smith
Power – Can control water, breathe underwater, and turn into any form of water (liquid, vapor, or ice).
Age – 20
Looks – Brown skin, cascade hair and eyes.
Other – Kills people by controlling water when someone's trying to drink it and making them die from choking. Real name is also her codename.

I need ideas for the evil team's names, Solar's last name, and Blair and Kenneth mom's last name. I would also like ideas for codenames for these two characters I'm contemplating using:

?/Ling Jones
Power – Can read, write, speak, and lipread any language (human, alien, animal, etc).
Age - ?
Looks - ?
Other – She’s deaf.

?/Jake Lansing
Power - Can turn inanimate objects invisible.
Age - ?
Looks - Green hair and eyes.
Other – Uses his power to steal things.

Also, do you think the two new ones are good enough for me to include in my fic?

Evil team name: Well, to answer this I might need some more background info on what they are fighting for, or against, in the first place. Most teams have a motive, maybe get your name from there? Or name them after a dangerous animal. That always works. XD

I'm going to think of the person's real name, I just nead a code name. Besides, I already used Brian as a name. And the evil team was made because Solar just wanted to do so. I guess to piss Lunar off or something. I don't know yet. XD

Typo would be hilarious (except it doesn't really have anything to do with understanding languages and codenames tend to match powers :/). XD I can imagine it now:

Kenneth: So what's your codename?
Ling: Typo.
Kenneth: Who thought of that?
Ling: It was my friend, Katie Kitten.
Kenneth: Your friend's last name is Kitten?
Ling: No, she is a kitten.
Kenneth: ... Wha!?
Ling: My powers are I can understand any language. That includes feline.
Kenneth: Oh, right.

Nice to see this back in action, Dani. I was kind of wondering when you'd do somethin' with this. Welcome back to the team. Seems like my guys, Nylf's, Power Shots and Carlotta's have some company. You have some interesting powers despite them not being the typical superpowers and that's great! Let's just home they have some tech to help them out in case there's trouble. Now for the name of this guy...

Stalker/Jake Lansing
Power - Can turn inanimate objects invisible.
Age - 21
Looks - Messy green hair, green eyes
Other – Uses his power to steal things.

I would also have him blend into shadows or objects like a kecleon does. Essentially, Lansing is a human kecleon.

Well I didn't want him to be able to make himself invisible since Kenneth can do that but I just realized that shouldn't matter since Lunar and Aquiana can do something the same as well. XD

And I wanted to think of their real names. But yours sounds real cool. As does his looks. You sure his powers that you suggested aren't too similar to an already existing mutant? And if he's a human Kecleon, does that include the zigzag stripe. XD Also, why Stalker?

You have some interesting powers despite them not being the typical superpowers and that's great!

Glad you think so because that was my intent. I was trying to think of powers that haven't been used a million times.

Let's just hope they have some tech to help them out in case there's trouble.

To help them why? They can fight.

Well I guess Ling and Jake have all their names taken care of. Now just for Solar's last name, Ms. Ola's first name, and the evil team name. ^_^

Well, he's a baddie so I thought Stalker was good. But, pehaps Egrim would work. Egrm is Mirage spelt backwards and is missing a couple letters. As for the stripes? Nah. That's not needed No one else can blend into objects. There's no mutant alive now that has that power so that's up for grabs. If you want you could add "aheres to surfaces." Dunno if you want a rollout tongue though.

Hmm...for what's her name who's everything-lingual, how about Linguistics? Or just Lin? Or Lingua?

And the other team, the opposite of a giving off light is absorbing it, so how about Oblique?

And Solar's last name, hmm, Apollo would work I think.

Oblique's good for a team name. I say go with that. They sound dark, mysteriou and just plain eeeevil. Apollo might be a good last name but so could other Sun-God names like Helios.

The stripe thing was a joke, Chris. And no one else blends into things? I thought the creature from the last TT ep did that and that one dude from Static Shock blended into shadows or something. Someone please confirm their powers please.

And Oblique sounds awesome, I'll use it. As for Ling, the names suggested are too similar to her real name. I think both suggestions for Solar's last name are good, I'll think about them.

The guy you're talking about from Static Shock was known as Ebon. I can open up vortexes which can be used as transportation. He can also stretch himself.

As for other options for names:

Lunar- Eclipse
MF- Scope
Solar- Corona, Nova, Helios(Ledian X)
Psyche- Mirage
Aquianna- WaveQuake, Flow, Stream, or Niagra(eww...) I think Aquianna is fine though.

Uh, I wasn't looking for alternate names for them. ^_^;

And yes, I think Ebon is who I was referring to. So he can't blend into shadows?

Ebon can blend into shadows, quite easily.

I would've suggested Helios, but I only knew the name from a YGO card, and didn't know if it was an actual culture's sun god. I was also tempted to suggest Amaterasu, but, well it's a bit long.

Okay, how about for Ling: TRANSLATOR!!??

I'll understand if you think it's dull.

Anyway, powers like Ebon is a way to go. Dani, the marvel mutant who had that power was killed in the Mutant Massacre some twenty years ago in Uncanny X-Men. So, I *think* it's okay to use the power. Seeing as she's dead and hasn't been brought back.

Translator's kinda lame. There's Cypher but that'd be too close to the New Mutant with the same name and powers. Doug Ramsey was able to translate any language. But, he's kinda dead...or is he? I can't tell with him since he's merged with a techno-organic being.

X-Men history. So confusing.

And I'm trying to stay away from already existing powers, dead or not. And not just from Marvel but also DC and any other people with powers. Also, there's already a language mutant? ;-;

There was one, Dani. Doug Ramsey aka Cypher. Shot in the head. Very sad. But, somehow he was "reborn" as Douglock-a combination of Ramsey and techno-organic teammate Warlock. Warlock "died" much later than Doug did.

Maybe that'll help! But, remember I have a guy with wings and a speedfreak so you can have similar powers. Just not the same attitude, appearance and costume.
