This episode was awsome. I dont think anything went wrong, they left plenty of blood in.

...I'm starting to lose faith in the Naruto dub.

The original line the mother said so the swordsmen wouldn't kill Inari was 'I'll bite my tongue and drown myself in blood.' She's just begging this time.

Uh..what's so wrong with a mother begging so a couple of assassins with swords wouldn't kill her son? e_e Jeez.

Well that wouldn't be allowed on toonami standards. Your losing faith in something that had to be done? The line was well dubbed. This ep was very good. Can't wait till next week.

Kinda redundant that they changed 'demonic' to 'crystal' (it basically means 'ice' in this title, but 'ice' was already said). But it's no big deal. Just nitpicking.

The original line gives a pretty mature thought, even for a PG program. And anyone who didn't know the original line wouldn't have noticed the change at all. I think they did a good job with this edit.

Anyway, another great episode. Just to nitpick about one other thing, in real life (pretending, of course, that any of this stuff could even happen in real life) Sasuke probably would have been killed, don't you think? When Haku was throwing all those kunai at Sasuke, he should have been able to stab him like a hundred times. o_O But the knives kept on slashing him rather than hitting their targe point blank. And you'd expect a talented tracker (I think that's the name) like him to hit his target, especially when it's not moving. Unless he didn't on purpose. Well, it's okay. I suppose stories do this all the time, just to preserve characters.

That scene that ended with Kakashi saying something like, "Wait a second... didn't I just say that?" was hilarious. ^^

I miss the first half of the episode so when will it reair?

Wow. Losing your faith in the dub, just because of a little harmless change of dialog that hardly altered anything. o_O;

Actually, those were those needle-type things, sort of like those needles Haku used to pretend to kill Zabuza, rather than kunai. But, what you said sort of makes sense, [SPOIL]considering those needles nearly kill Sasuke later on[/SPOIL]. I smell plot holes....

As for this dub episode, it was great. As usual, no major change from the original, and it seemed they kept all the blood intact.

I thought the episode was good...although I missed the first 5 minutes of it.

Yeah, I was gonna say that. I guess you could also say that Haku was kinda just making Sasuke suffer with them not hitting their actual target.

[spoil]I know. That's going to be sad. I mean, it was really cute in the manga, can't wait to see it animated. Do you know when Sasuke's 'supposed' death happens? Is it next episode or the one after?[/spoil]

I know I'm sounding like a broken record when I say this, but how does one little thing like that automatically make you lose faith in the dub?

I personally can see why some things in the Naruto dub were edited, like the Naruto/Sasuke kiss. Suppose they kept that in, and then somebody complained about it (regardless of Naruto and Sasuke's reactions afterward). They could've sued Cartoon Network and even gone as far as to get Naruto off the air before it really began, just because of one scene. That's not good, is it? That's why I don't really mind the edits that Naruto gets.

Oh yeah, and the recent episode was good.

Looking at the Manga, I think near the end of the the next one.

[SPOIL]Actually no Haku didn't want to kill neither sasuke nor Naruto. He just wanted to knock them out. A person as experienced as him knows how not to aim for vital points[/SPOIL]

THERE'S NO $50 HERE!
Naruto's on Toonami, we can't expect everything to be left intact or translated word for word in the EDITTED VERSION. Geniuses...

I mean I didn't expect Kakashi to talk about the sadistic-yet-professional ways of disposing of missing-nin, why should Inari's mother talk about soaking herself in blood on CHILDREN FRIENDLY PROGRAMMING?

That's like expecting the stores in Disneyland to sell a pack of Kents.

For some reason, I can't get to Toonami Infolink from where I am now, so I can't provide a link to them. But I just wanted to inform anyone who's interested that on December 31, in the afternoon, all aired Naruto episodes will be rerun, ending with the premiere of the seventeenth episode at 10:30. Great chance to catch up or see what you missed. Again, the info comes from Toonami Infolink.

Actually, it would. Toonami let all kinds of implied violence remain in the Yu Yu Hakusho dub (talks about decapitating people and putting their heads on pikes, for example), and THAT show had a TV-Y7 rating.
