Tommorow night on YTV yet again, we get Naru-Spoiled! Another new episode before the Toonami airing, but don't worry; you'll get it The Day After Tommorow (no pun intended).

Last week, Demonfox-Naruto did some mirror smashing! But still he got some bad luck even though they were Crystal Ice Mirrors, Haku wants to be killed! Yes..............? Is being asked to kill the person talking to you bad luck? Meanwhile, Kakashi has a new Lightning Blade to test out too! So are you ready for it Canada?

Airdates:
January 6th at 9:30pm on YTV
January 7th at 9:00pm on Toonami (like you don't know that already enough to read this?

Let's discuss with Airing!

That's what Kanadian Kyuubi said in their last post. Personally, I'm glad that this arc is wrapping up because there is only [SPOIL]one episode[/SPOIL] of it after this one.

So, umm.... This was a very bloody episode in the original version...

How did it fare here?

KK: Not so uncensored

This week, was what people said would be a real challenge for Viz here, having to deal with...a death scene! Poor Haku, I wish that this storyline got plotted so that Zabusa saved Haku like that, not the other way around! Well...at least she I mean he got what he wanted...?

Okay, the handling of the death scene is what I want to talk about now. Now, you say in the original that there was alot of blood. Of course in their newest trend, there was some blood here and there (they even kept the little bits on Kakashi and Zabuza's masks). But, I'm not sure if it was an edit or not, but when Haku "did her death thing", they kept some of the impact, but quickly went to a few Ken Burns'd reaction shots (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ken_Burns), then they showed her...eyes open?

Intresting, also they happened to keep the Lightning Blade thing as good clean fun...anything that has CGI effects MUST be cool and wicked! Well, I confess that it was cool. Unfortunatly, everything else seemed boring, like that extra storyline going behind the scenes of the gathering of warriors at the end.

9/10

+Good handling of Death
+Lightning Blade = :D :D :D
-Everything else = *sweatdrop*

Let me point a cliche out here.

A character (regardless of importance) NEVER dies immediately after learning a new attack. If they somehow die, there'll either be a way to revive them later, or they won't have really been dead in the first place.

For the love of..

Sasuke didn't "learn" the Sharingan. He had it to begin with but never showed it to anyone until he was forced to in the fight with Haku.

but when Haku "did her death thing
HAKU'S AN EFFING BOY!!
*coughs*
Now, this episode is one I'm looking foward to, the fight reaches his climax, it'll be *saking in his chair*AWSOME!

EE, isn't it that Sasuke had it in his bloodline, but didn't have enough experience to "unlock" it, thus only having 1 pointy thing instead of three. You are probably right, considering that you watched more than me.

Sakura's scene owned, plain and simple. I kinda wanted to cry myself.*hugs Sakura* I know how it feels to lose someone close to your heart...I've endured this twice in my life.:(

Just saw the episode. Everything I was worried about was handeled very well. Even though Kakashi didn't [SPOIL]impale Haku all the way through in the dub[/SPOIL], it was all still done nicely. We can all understand what has happened and there is no way around it. Haku is dead.

This WAS good. Plenty of blood left, and they did a good job with Sakura's scean (but when Naruto grabbed his stomach, it looked more like he was sick than sad)

Pretty much. He had it in his blood, but because of his tree-climbing training and having his eyes getting used to Haku's speed he was able to finally activate it.

I'm not surprised with the blood edited out, hell even I thought the amount of blood in the original was excessive. I was more surprised with how much blood they left in. Great episode. Sakura's VA did great in this episode too, although I thought the original Sakura just had a more distraught cry. In any case I like Sakura's dub VA more.

Kakashi didn't even impale him in the original. It was the manga where his hand went completely through Haku. If I'm remembering correctly, the only thing they edited was the flying blood and the gushing blood (and Kakashi stabbingZabuza with the 2 kunai).

THERE'S NO $50 HERE!
Deliciously pink Strawberry Jam! Blood you say? No, no, I'm sure this was the episode sponsored by Smuckers in Japan...Kishimoto's pug told me, in a hallucinogen induced dream, which explains why he spoke English and sounded like Harvey Atkin.

The edits weren't that big a deal since the anime itself was censored from the manga to boot.

I should also note how easily my Naruto episodes synch up to the ViZ dub...

Meh the episode was fair enough
[SPOIL]They didn't show Kakashi stabbing through Zabuza's arms
and well the thing with Haku but they did an allright job
covering it up..[/SPOIL]

[SPOIL]Well since I didn't see an answer ffs I'm still left asking
if the Murder of Mizukage or w/e was the battle that Kimimaru
and his clan took place and failed and they got killed except him
and Zabuza escaped with the "refuges"..?[/SPOIL]

They also made the Raikiri (Lightning Blade) more "bigger" to cover up more of Haku's body when he took the hit.

But overall... Yeah.... Viz really outdone themselves with this episode.
