Plenty of anime have more episodes than Naruto. Look at One Piece.

Dectective Conan's 429th episode will air this week. If you count both Pokemon series (Pokemon & Pokemon: Advance Generation), then there are 442 episodes so far. As Edward said, the three Dragon Ball series together have 508 episodes. One Piece’s 255th episode just aired this week.

Naruto currently has 173 episodes, so if it does manage to catch up to those other shows, it will be a while before it does.

I don't think so. The Naruto anime has gone downhill with the current side story(not all of it). I wouldn't be surprised if it finished up around 400-450.

But, who knows? Were almost @ episode 200, aren't we?

kakashi Gaiden'll prolly be the intro to the time gap. It should be lengthed from about 3-6 episodes. Fo' Shizal!

Here's what I think: too many eps=suck. That's why I prefer the DB manga WAAAYYYY over the DB anime, even though I'm a fan of both.

..The manga has 519 chapters. That's from the introduction of Son Goku to Goku flying off with Oob.

The anime from Dragon Ball episode 1 to Dragon Ball GT episode 64 is 508 episodes in total.

Newsflash, ALL Shonen Jump manga are like this. Breeze through some of the volumes and you'll see they carry roughly about the same amount of chapters as other books.

Regardless, that's still way more chapters than all three series' together. Your comparison still holds no water.

Actually, Toriyama isn't all that lazy. Hell, he had to make one chapter a week when Dragon Ball first appeared in the Weekly Shonen Jump (correct me if I'm wrong, Ed), it'd be hard for him to provide more pages (like 20-30 pages) per chapter. I don't see you making manga chapters each week, now do I? So how do you know it's out of laziness when you haven't been in his shoes?
