Nate: Pokemon Mercenary.

Yo. I felt like putting myself into a weird fic, so here you are.

I think that this would be....PG-13. I dunno.

Here's the prologue. Hope no-one, espically Typhlogirl, minds if I make a little (very little) referance to "The Pokemon Rebellion" in this fic.

Prologue:

Nate wasn't really your regular thirteen-year-old; he had lots of Pokemon, a wicked sense of humor, and amazing skill in a Pokemon battle.

He stood about five foot, six inches with black, curly hair, and usually wore a red shirt with blue pants. His skin was white, and his eyes were blue.

Nate worked as a sort of mercenary. But what was unusual about this was, he only took jobs from Pokemon, which worked very well, considering that he understood Pokemon language. This preferrance for work from Pokemon was what seperated him from the rest of humankind.

Not that he cared. Nate didn't like humans one bit, despite being one himself. He despised humans because of their crazy beliefs that they were better than Pokemon.

Nate loved movies and books that made it so that Pokemon would rebel against humans. His favorite movie of all time was Princess Mononoke: the Pokemon version, where a human princess was adopted into a family of Mightyena and set her sights on the death of the humans that would destroy her adopted family's forest and kill the Stantler god that lived there. His favorite book was called The Pokemon Rebellion, which was so popular that it doesn't need much description.

Nate spent most of his free time playing video games or raising his Pokemon friends. Because he lived in a cave in the middle of Victory Road, he got plenty of time to have them and the Pokemon living there gain experience points, or EXP if you're of a shortening mind.

One afternoon in Victory Road, Nate got a visit from a female Hariyama. A Hariyama looked like a sumo wrestler in appearance. They always had thick, blue legs with two-toed, orange feet. Their torsos were rather large, with yellow flaps of thin skin simulating a short skirt, an orange spot right above the middle of the skirt. The rest of the torso was white.

A Hariyama’s arms were somewhat thin compared to the rest of the body, but the massive, orange, three-fingered hands that mounted the ends of them could snap a telephone in two with just one open-handed punch. The head was large, with two holes at the side of the head that function as ears, two evil-looking eyes, and a blue headband. How a Hariyama communicates without a mouth is unknown.

“Nate, I need you to take a job.” said the Hariyama in Hariyamese.

“What’s the job, first?” asked Nate.

"My baby Makuhita was only just born." the Hariyama answered. "He ran off one day and...he never came back. I think he might have been kidnapped by human trainers."

This news quickly got Nate angry.

"All right, I got it." said Nate with a tone of anger in his voice. "But what's the pay, apart from the knowledge that I saved a baby Makuhita's free will?"

"I can pay you a lot, just get my baby!" begged the Hariyama.

Nate was somewhat surprised.

"Never known Hariyamas to beg." he said. "All right, I'll do it. If you wanna come, fine, but don't get in my way."

"Thank you, thank you!" cried the Hariyama happily.

The two ran off to look for the baby Makuhita.

*****

No, seriously, "Princess Mononoke" really IS one of my favorite movies of all time.
