-- NATIVE FAITH --
a sylphid dream, the god sent a rain of blessing

In ages past, in the dark recesses of ancient feudal Japan, there was a haunted region that was known as "Gensokyo." It was home to many evil apparitions and ghosts and the like; they were known as "youkai" in the native tongue of those who lived in Japan, and what they are known as now to this very day. These youkai, in the past, began to start terrorizing the areas of civilization that were settled in Japan, which led to the sending of heroic, powerful humans to exorcise and eradicate them. Remember, now, that this region of Gensokyo existed for as long as Japan did, and shared whatever creation story was fabricated with regards to this. This constantly quelled and sparked battle began to rage on until the year of 1884 CE, when this Gensokyo was sealed off from the rest of Japan, which began to advance technologically and scientifically, thus, increasing their skepticism about the occult that Gensokyo was practically the haven of. How was this seal created? A massive boundary that the humans created in the year 1884, known by many names, the "Hakurei Barrier," the "Border," and even the "Great Boundary," was the solution. A rather large Shinto shrine, the Hakurei Shrine, exists on the border on both sides, the so-called civilized Japan and the side of Gensokyo. Eventually, the youkai began to reinforce this barrier, eventually making it the strongest of every boundary created in Gensokyo. Now, what about the people who live in Gensokyo? Not only youkai, but also humans live there. There are people who are in hiding from the real world, those who want to escape from the harshness of reality, and those who wanted shelter from those who did not accept or provide for them.

Now, this barrier that separated Gensokyo from the rest of the world around it, was not the all-cure. It did not solve everything, for not only people from the outside were sent through it, but even entire places! Such a phenomenon was not explained, and probably could not be explained, apart from delinquents who weakened the barrier by making holes in them. Mansions, other shrines and the like were somehow brought into Gensokyo, which led to many problems that the residents of Gensokyo eventually took up arms to solve... Who were these people? In actuality, only one person, the present guardian of the Hakurei Shrine, Reimu Hakurei, is the one who possessed the power to defy gravity, and used this to solve these problems that threatened the safety of Gensokyo and possibly the Hakurei Barrier itself, which Reimu's Shrine was the gateway within. Most recently, during one lonely Autumn of Gensokyo, the faith in the Hakurei Shrine's deity began to... plummet, much like how the leaves fall from the trees during this season. Eventually, a mysterious person arrives to visit Reimu, claiming that she is a deity of the mountains, and demands that Reimu close down the doors of the Hakurei Shrine. Evidently, this is troubling news, because of the Shrine's role with regards to the Hakurei Barrier. After some time, Reimu decides to investigate this matter with the Mountain goddess, along with one ordinary magician friend of hers, Marisa Kirisame, who only visited because she was bored, and also senses some suspicion. Together, they encounter many faces of Gensokyo's deities, as well as some youkai like one valley kappa, an amphibious being, called Nitori, and a crow tengu, a crow spirit, called Aya. Reimu and Marisa's final square-off with the Mountain goddess, Kanako Yasaka, is only obstructed by one single person, a shrine maiden like Reimu herself, called Sanae Kotiya, who maintains the Moriya Shrine. Reimu and Marisa encounter Kanako Yasaka and then defeat her in an engrossing battle.

After this, Kanako then decides to make peace with the kappa and the tengu spirits that live on the mountain that she resides in alongside the Moriya Shrine. This leads to Reimu living her normal life again, but Marisa decides to sneak into the mountain they went to before for chestnuts. While doing this, Marisa heard of a rumor that there was... another God at the Moriya Shrine. She also found out that Kanako lived at the lake nearby, and not at the shrine. Armed with this knowledge, Marisa informs Reimu and they both return to the Moriya Shrine, fending off Kanako who wants to chase them away. Eventually, the duo encounter the true deity of the shrine, a little Suwako Moriya. Suwako tells them that Kanako defeated Suwako in battle a long time ago, thus winning her the right to use the shrine in public. However, it was mostly left alone to Suwako's own designs, but Kanako transferred the shrine herself, possibly through a defect in the Hakurei Barrier. Reimu and Marisa decide to leave, but Suwako demands to "play with them," which happened to be a euphemism for "have a battle with magical bullets." After a gruelling battle, Suwako was defeated, and they all dispersed to live their own lives.

Nowadays, life is fairly boring... Reimu is hanging out with youkai she is friends with, Marisa is busy pilfering books from the library of a certain mansion that materialized from the border. There happens to be one village where humans live, as well, where it is protected and safe from rogue youkai. You are one of the people living in the Human Village, living a rather peaceful life, praying to a certain deity, doing your business in the village, and also interacting with others. However, there is a someone who goes around deep in the night time, and wakes up people to talk to them about something. You are one of the people that this someone woke up and decided to talk to, for some god-forsaken reason. You were still quite groggy being woken up at the dead of the night, so you could barely make out what this stranger was saying. All you could gather was the gist of the message. Something about "a stranger coming from the outside," and "gods starting to lose their strength again." You nod weakly and head back to sleep.

The next day, when you wake up, you find you are the only person awake... Apart from a couple of others. You think the rest of the villagers are asleep, but they are actually at a place in the center of the village, where you see a person in priestly garb, preaching some crazy business about a benevolent God who wants nothing but peace and love for His people. Personally, you don't buy into that philosophical nonsense, along with some others who you ended up asking. You figure this must be the thing that the stranger last night was referring to. These... strangers from another land coming into your village, brainwashing everyone you know! You hurriedly go back to your house and pray profusely to your deity, and, suddenly, by some pure enlightenment, you come to a realization that the only way to stop this rampant perversion of religion is to drive away this cult. You suddenly go outside and find that the others who weren't persuaded are doing the same thing. You all huddle together and suddenly feel stronger, like you are ready to take on the world.

The NATIVE FAITH lies in you... Will you remain strong? Or will you succumb to these falsehoods? Only time will tell...

---

You are one of the humans who feel a surge of power from praying to your deity. You want to drive away the strangers who came to brainwash your loved ones, your friends, your teachers. Of course, your power alone won't help you. You must possess the will to resist these bogus teachings. In a rather ancient land, full of mythic beings, danger and great wonders lurk. Are you ready?

Signup, FINALLY!

NAME: (who are you called? Preferably go wapanese with this one)
GENDER: (male or female? given the setting, it's safer to go with both gender rather than outright female...)
AGE:

DEITY: The Deity you prayed to. This Deity granted you a power they thought would help you drive off these knaves. Please select one from the following:

--> MINORIKO AKI, Goddess of the Harvest
Minoriko Aki is an Autumn goddess who has power over the harvests of the plants and fruits that you have spent so much time tending to and caring for. If you prayed to Minoriko Aki, she would have granted you a small power... A small power that might seem negligible, but is actually quite useful in certain situations. You can cause food to materialize from fertile soil, or make dying crops immediately spring to life again.

--> SHIZUHA AKI, Goddess of the Leaves
Shizuha Aki is Minoriko Aki's older sister. She has the power over the turning of the leaves, which might seem trivial, but in some senses, really isn't all that small. If you prayed to Shizuha Aki, she would have granted you the power to use leaves as a deadly weapon, by allowing you control over their movement, and any leaves you use immediately become sharp as opposed to their normal, harmless selves. Truly a frightening thought, to be struck down by a plethora of beautiful leaves.

--> HINA KAGIYAMA, Goddess of all Curses
Hina Kagiyama likes to spin. She's also the goddess of curses. Bad luck befalls those who go near her, and Hina wants to try her best to make sure bad luck doesn't befall anyone, so she gathers up curses. If you prayed to Hina Kagiyama, she gives you the ability to store bad luck or curses yourself and use it against your enemies, and also become a good luck charm by warding away bad luck to the entourage. Quite unique, if anyone can say.

--> SUWAKO MORIYA, Goddess of a Mountain
Suwako is the true goddess of the Moriya shrine, after being usurped by Kanako. She has the ability to create the earth we all live on. In actuality, she occasionally takes the form of a frog. She tamed the mighty curse god Mishaguji for her own designs. If you prayed to Suwako Moriya, you too, will be granted the power to manipulate the earth... However, not to such an extent that Moriya can. You cannot make landslides or giant walls, however, you can form sharp amalgamations of earth to attack your opponents.

--> KANAKO YASAKA, Goddess of Wind and Rain, fake goddess of a Mountain
Kanako Yasaka claimed she is a mountain goddess, but only did so because she defeated Suwako, the true deity. She is infact a deity of the wind and the rain and takes the form of a snake. She said, with regards to defeating Suwako, that "Suwako takes the form of a frog, and snakes eat frogs." She has the ability to create sky, and if you prayed to her, you gain possession of one of her Pillars of Faith. A fragment of Kanako's power dwells within it, and only the one who prayed to Kanako can hold it. If you possess it, you are given the power to change the form of the sky. You can also use the pillar as a weapon!

--> SHINKI, Goddess and Creator of the Demon World
Sometimes compared to the Devil himself, Shinki is a mighty goddess who created her own world of demons. Her power is unknown, and not many people see it fit to choose her as a deity. If you were the brave soul who decided to try praying to her for your own reasons, Shinki will give you a fraction of her strength, granting you increased human ability, and the ability to use certain magic, which, for now, is limited to throwing fireballs at your opponents or lobbing a long, hard icicle (hee).

Name: Fujisaki Tamao (last name, first name format, real name: Fujisaki Tatsuya, will be referred to as Tamao for this portion)

Gender: Female? (referred to as "she" for this portion, but "he" in the main RP)

Age: 20

Deity: Hina Kagiyama

Description: Tamao possesses quite a befuddling body, and that of quite desirable "quality," of sorts. Tamao appears to be also quite frail, to a degree where others could probably think they could wrestle Tamao down quickly and have their way with her. Tamao overall is also unusually short for her age, but still has quite a lithe figure. This adds even more to her frailty, something that annoys her to some extent. Nevertheless, she is turned off by excessively toned and musclebound bodies, so as it stands, she's definitely not complaining about her current state. Tamao's skin's also fair. It isn't that tanned, but it's far from white as it is right now. However, what offsets it from being ordinary is that it's also unusually smooth. Tamao's eyes are also unusually feline, and are an odd shade of grey, which makes Tamao have a blank look in her eyes. Tamao's hair is also quite long, reaching just below her shoulder. She has decided against tying it into a ponytail. Her hair is platinum blonde in colour, and Tamao often keeps it very sraight and neat, not affording to leave it in a messy heap. Tamao isn't vain, she's just a neat freak who loves presentation. Also, making herself look presentable.

Tamao herself appears to be decked out in what some modern people would call "a smokin' lady." While in actuality, what Tamao is wearing isn't all that revealing or scandalous at all, it still exudes some weird aura that attracts people. Tamao wears a red robe where the hem only cuts to just above her knees. The robe is quite nondescript and plain. The inner lining of said robe happens to be black. Beneath the robe Tamao wears a sarashi. The sarashi actually doesn't do anything given Tamao's dark secret, but it's just there to make her fit in better. For her arms, she wears a pair of arm gloves that reach her elbows, and for her legs, Tamao wears a pair of black knee-high socks and thigh-high "tights" of sorts. Sort of like what a ninja would wear, you know? Her footwear are a pair of simple two-teeth geta sandals, and she wears no tabi socks. From what Tamao is wearing, she doesn't look particularly rich, nor particularly poor, but well-off. That is odd, considering Tamao lives on her own substantiating on a simple job.

Personality: Tamao is quite timid and shy, but only when she is in a large crowd. She works much better off in a small group or on her own, giving her a sort of reclusive image where she holes herself up with an exclusive circle of people. This could almost be interpreted to mean "clique," but Tamao isn't that kind of person who chooses all that much, Tamao is quite open-minded and quite flexible about her choices and her plans, also what she does. She treats her superiors with much respect, much like how she literally worships her deity. She is not necessarily chivalrous, but she is willing to listen to other people's problems and will not hesitate to help someone out given the current situation. However, when she's on her own, she is a totally different person. Tamao tends to be quite more active when no one's looking at her, and she takes the initiative far more often, and turns out to be quite more aggressive. This stems partly from the abuse she's received from various people at various instances, but that is something that will be covered for later. As such, Tamao is desperate for someone who understands her and loves her for who she is, and not for someone to abuse and hit on for absolutely no reason. Tamao is someone who has been plagued by much bad luck, and for this she tries so hard to pray and give tributes to her deity. Tamao is also fearful of those who are bigger than she is (read: nearly everyone), for the fear that they might do something unspeakably despicable to her. Tamao has the reason for this, and that will be explained quite soon. It's safe to say that Tamao is a mixed bag of emotions, a hodge-podge of traits that could either make or break a person.

Reason: Tamao has been plagued by bad luck as has been mentioned earlier. Tamao's looks mean that she has a history of being hit on by philanderers, as well as the occasional pedophile. Instance after instance has Tamao been physically abused, and also has hit many times where she is nearly violated so bad that she might as well be left to die. Tamao clings to Hina hoping that she can absorb the bad luck that Tamao has somehow been harvesting, and becoming the harbinger of. Tamao has known the nature of Hina Kagiyama to want to help those who are lost, and collects curses for the purpose of aiding those who are weary. Tamao believes that her belief in Hina Kagiyama will be the one that saves her from those who try to abuse her and violate her.

Other: Tamao is actually a guy! Real name Fujisaki Tatsuya, last name first name format.

NAME: Kami Tenshi
GENDER: Male
AGE: 21

DEITY: SHINKI
--> SHINKI, Goddess and Creator of the Demon World
Sometimes compared to the Devil himself, Shinki is a mighty goddess who created her own world of demons. Her power is unknown, and not many people see it fit to choose her as a deity. If you were the brave soul who decided to try praying to her for your own reasons, Shinki will give you a fraction of her strength, granting you increased human ability, and the ability to use certain magic, which, for now, is limited to throwing fireballs at your opponents or lobbing a long, hard icicle (hee).

DESCRIPTION: A tall, muscular man, Kami is like a giant. He is 8’4”, and due to a mutation giving him no myostatin (a protein that tells muscles to stop growing), incredibly muscular. He weighs 342 pounds of pure muscle. His skin, due to another mutation- melanism- gives him pitch black skin and red eyes. His hair is white and light blue, in an afro. He wears silken robes, white in color, covered in simple red clouds. Then, over the shoulders, arms and legs, he has plates of steel, burned black, over both sides. His shoes are metal as well, like greaves. He wields two sharp katana, black and gold in color, to fully take advantage of the fact that he is ambidextrous. He has a slim physique, but a strong one at that. This slimness means he doesn't look like he is on roids.
PERSONALITY: Kami is a quiet, calm person, and enjoys calm silence and solitude. He is a learned man, and has a comprehensive library of books. His other passion is trading to get foreign goods whenever he can. He usually drinks sake, but occasionally he gets some brandy. In terms of social graces, he is quiet, but is always polite, and a good listener. He is not quick to fight- it betrays his firm belief in logic. He is a logical person- his heart and emotions don't sway him- he usually has barely any emotions at all. Anyways, he, when in battle, is pretty cruel. He does not like long battles, and prefers to get things over with- usually by ripping out his opponents spine, etc. He is not a mean person, however- just a witheld man who wants some privacy. For this reason, most people don't trust him too much- he dismisses it as paranoia.
REASON: Kami liked the idea of demon powers, and reasoned that one who rules over malevolence does not want some other force to corrupt humanity before he/she does.
Other: He rides a white tiger, which wears black metal armor. It is blind in its left eye- and it has a slash scar over it. This tiger is for transport. It is strong enough to carry Kami. It's name is Yomitora, and is female.

I'd finish, but I need to know- what time period is it???

Crystallized decay
Oh wow. I was waiting for a RPG like this, it sounds so fantastic! Can we reserve spots? I want my sign up to be as good as possible, and right now I'm working on my signup for Pokemon: For Them.

May I please reserve KANAKO YASAKA, Goddess of Wind and Rain? I'll have my sign up ready tonight.

Two Days Ago-7:55 P.M.

It was chilly in Karakura Town. December was coming right around the corner and snow was already falling from the sky. It painted the landscape a pale blue and covered nearly everything it could and made the whole place sparkle. The sky was already black, and the bright shining stars covered the sky. Most of the lights in nearby houses were turned on, and the street lamps glowed a soft, comforting yellow.

A lady dressed in thick winter clothes walked down the deserted street leading to her apartment complex. She carried a bag full of groceries and snow was already covering some of the fruit and vegetables on top. The paper, brown bag itself was soaked, small water droplets were dripping from the bottom, and it was a wonder how it was still holding. The lady herself, despite the warm clothes she was wearing, was quite wet. Her hair had little fluffs of snow covering it, and her face was chilled and raw with no hood protecting her face. The red jacket with a furry collar had only a few dry spots on it, and her jeans were entirely soaked, the tough, leather boots were no different from the pants.

Nevertheless, the lady was smiling, an easy smile covered her face, and didn’t evaporate when she saw a young, blond boy perched on the stout, black metal gate that led into her apartment.

“Hello,” she said.

“I’m guessing you’re Mitosuki Izumi.” The youth replied, he was dressed in school clothes by the looks of it, and had a dark green jacket covering his top.

She gave a faint laugh, “Is that how you greet someone?”

The boy sighed, and from his hand, he showed her a picture of her in the Urahara Shouten, “Sorry, but I’m in a hurry.”

She raised an elegant eyebrow. “Hm?”

“I’ve been asked to get you by Urahara-san.”

Her smile got wider. “I’m guessing he needs a big favor if he sent someone to get me.”

“How did you know?” the boy said sarcastically in his Osaka dialect.

“Well, what is it?”

“You’re not shocked?”

Now it was her turn to sigh, but she never lost that sly, cheerful expression she had, “Its Urahara, nothing really surprises me when it comes to him.”

“Well it concerns Aizen.”

“Aizen?”

“You don’t know about him?”

“I’ve been gone for around 250 years, my memory gets faint.”

The boy looked at her apologetically, “I suggest ya make a pot of tea when ya hear about this.”

Izumi nodded, “Might as well, but just wondering kid, are you still in your gigai? My neighbors might think of me as crazy, or more crazy than I already am if they see me talking to thin air.”

“I am in my gigai.”

“Great, than you can tell me about how Soul Society is, on the way in.”

The boy nodded and jumped off the metal gate. “I’m Hirako Shinji by the way.”

Izumi punched in her apartment password in a little, electronic box right on the wall next to the gate. It beeped twice and the gate opened.

“So how’s it been Hirako-san?”

“Not well, you see….”

Karakura Town-6:00 A.M.

A captain, no, three captains had deserted Soul Society. The news didn’t surprise her though. She always had known it would happen someday, but not in this type of force, or power. If they left quietly like her because they disliked the values of Soul Society would she have been able to let it go. But they left because they didn’t like the values, and because of a more horrible, frightening reason.

They left for more power. Power was one thing Izumi couldn’t understand why someone would want. She was happy to have been an eleventh seat. She didn’t need to become a taichou to be satisfied with her position. Maybe she never really cared about what position she was in a division. She just cared about happiness. And Soul Society didn’t make her happy, it took all the life out of her, and that was why she left.

But now everything in Karakura made more sense. The hollow-like creatures-Arrancars, and now she understood why there were more Death Gods here. She would have liked to have been kept out of this, like Hirako or Shinji as he was called. But this would effect her too. And she wanted to keep that peaceful non-shinigami life she held.

But…desperate times called for desperate measures.
For the first time in 2 years, she went out of her gigai. The feeling was strange, but it felt good nevertheless. She was wearing her regular attire, or summer clothes as she called them now. The maroon shirt, and jean shorts and Kashinfuu, the ‘umbrella’ was strapped on her belt.

She decided to take the more scenic route than just doing a bunch of flash steps. She decided to jump on a roof and then another, feeling the fresh breeze as she went by. The coldness didn’t affect her anymore, since she wasn’t in her gigai. And it felt fun to jump across buildings without people pointing at you, as if you were a monster.

Izumi reached the Urahara Shouten in good time, around 20 minutes after she left her house. But the sight surprised her, and she couldn’t help but grin that lofty grin of hers. There were shinigami here, but she could lose them with shunpo if they attacked her. Anyways they were busy with an Arrancar-looking thing. All three of them looked outraged and she decided not to butt in and waste her energy. After all, it seemed that they all weren’t dangerous, since Urahara and Yoruichi weren’t helping anyone out.

“What a quaint place, you’ve got here Urahara.” She stated loudly and in an amused tone.

Hexagram: Indeed, the time period of Gensokyo was something I neglected to include T_T;; I'll let you know in this post and then edit it later WHEN THE FORUMS CO-OPERATE. While I don't know if your signup is REALLY gonna be as good as you say it will be. I'll let you finish it first.

Remember that after the sealing, Gensokyo became mainly a feudal time period with lots of folkloric elements.

Hehe, as much as I'd like to reserve your spot, a Hexagram is signing up with Shinki, but he's not done yet.

I'll just be left with no choice but to reject his sign up if he's not done, because it's already been a couple of days, and no PM or nothing.

So, please be patient!!

Wow! What a greatly detailed RPG! :D Maya-san, could I reserve a spot in this RPG? I'd really love to join - you've put a lot of detail into it. If you need an RPG sample, I'd be more than happy to give you one. ^^; And I'll reserve Shizuha Aki, Goddess of the Leaves, if I can.

Alright, I'll put you down as reserved.

Actually, this is an RPG of an existing game, but it's very obscure, so I tried my best to put in all the necessary details XD

Uh..Sonozaki may I please extend my reservation date? Something came up and I'll need 3 days to finish my sign up. I am finished- I edited my post. Please look at it ASAP. Thank you.

I took a look at your... uh, completed signup. As much as I'd like to accept you, there are a couple of things in conflict...

1) Your listed reason seems unusually feeble for such an insanely strong deity >_>;; Dunno if that'd be such resilience...
2) This is a place where normal human beings live in harmony with each other, living peaceful life. The people here aren't necessarily supposed to HAVE weapons nor be built for fighting. If I wanted that, I would've said so.
3) White tiger in the Human Village = o_o;;;;;

For now, Rejected. I'm reaaaaaally sorry. ;_____;

Saya-san, I'm still working on my signup. x_x; I'm leaving town this weekend and getting ready (along with work; eight hour days) have been taking up all my time. I will have this done by Friday or Saturday night at the latest, I promise. ^_^ Thought I should let you know.

Shadowfaith

Shinigami...
Name: Kalima Noir

Gender: Female

Age: 23

Deity: Shinki

Description: Kalima’s appearance is very compatible with her fragile name. She is tall and slender, with little to no muscle (which isn’t much of a loss for her because it is profitable for her agile nature), this is down to her racial traits, female demons were never known for their bulky figures and were always knows for their fragile and intoxicating beauty. Her skin is snow white, but not deathly so, in fact it adds to her beauty, but from afar many would think her to be a spirit or something otherworldly. Her eyes are a piercing sapphire colour, as deep as the ocean, these in turn are narrowed and surrounded by black, much like that of a wolfs. Slender strands of pure black hair, specked with red fall like a curtain of silk to cover the haunting eyes, but most is kept at bay by a thick strand material of dark red material wrapped tightly around her forehead. Her hair however is not completely straight, it lays in a scrupled mass atop her head, jutting out in all manner of directions, the only straightness it has to it in fact, are the strands just behind her ears.

Accompanying her pointed ears are another set, only these are a set of pure, black wolf’s ears. The ears are somewhat fluffy and mussed, but have a soft. Clean feel to them. Her mouth is home to two razor sharp canines, only present to the top row of her teeth, these fangs could easily draw blood without the slightest effort on Kalima’s part and many could fall prey to her sharp fangs and quick reflexes. Another thing to note about her facial appearance are the two sets of red painted lines on each cheek, to Kalima’s demonic clan, these are a sign of a true and dedicated warrior. Kalima’s other racial traits are the scruffy looking black tail that juts out from her lower back and the clean claws that fit the tops of both her fingers and her toes, there are even places, such as her ankles, her elbows and the back of her neck in which tuffs of black fur poke out from her skin, giving Kalima’s clearly beautiful appearance a slight edge to it. Another thing to note about Kalima’s appearance is the black, tribal tattoo that runs from her right thigh, all the way up to the left hand side of her neck. This is something Kali was born with, it was not given to her by anyone, so really speaking calling it a tattoo would be wrong, this is more of a birthmark to Kali. The main centrepiece of this tribal tattoo is at the centre of her back where her shoulder blades meet, it takes the shape of a demonic symbol.

Kalima wears a traditional martial arts outfit with her own unique touches. It consists of a blood red, short sleeved top with the design of her tattoo enbroided into it (the top two buttons are always undone) and a pair of loose fitting three-quarter length black trousers. Across her chest she has thrown a black leather belt with a silver buckle which holds a great, black sheath which holds her katana in place. Around her waste is a matching black leather belt, like the one thrown around her chest. The outfit isn’t very flattering, but Kalima does not care, it is not relevant to how well one does in battle. But for casual time’s she does wear a black strap top underneath the long sleeved top, which is flattering to her upper body and is especially cool when in the summer days. The bottom of her legs are wrapped in the same red material as is around her forehead and upon her feet she wears nothing but the same white material so that she is not held down by any sort of weight at the bottom of her body, though when not in battle, she does carry a pair of black, clumpy boots which are held by a thick strand of string to the belt around her waist, just in case it comes the time to cross mountainous paths, the boots however have small holes in the front to allow her claws to poke through freely. Like the bottoms of her legs, her forearms are also wrapped in material, only this time they are not red but black and finish off in a pair of tight fitting black gloves, wearing these gloves does protect her knuckles from harsh blows, but her punches are not as effective when they are in this state. Like the boots, these also have holes in them for her claws to be set free, leading to more of a blow. Around her neck is a beautiful charm made of silver and shaped like an ancient demonic symbol, this was a gift from her Deity to her.

Personality: Kali was never much of a people person, always brushing up on her skills, never having time to socialize with others, too concentrated on getting her martial arts skills in top condition. The only one she treated with any sort of respect was her deity. She spoke with her about her problems and was very open to her only; she remained closed to everyone else around her after leaving her parents. What should have been a fun loving child was transformed into an ice cold sculpture of a demon and because of this many people don’t know what to make of her. Kali always puts her duty before anything else, including her life, to her putting her life in danger for a mission is no problem at all and to many it seems that she would even put the lives of others after her duty. Kali was not raised harshly by her human parents because of they’re hope that she would be the child they had dreamed of, but they always kept the fact that she was given to them by a demon deity in the backs of they’re minds and they always knew her to grow up harsh and cruel. Kali is heartless and stone cold, but she does have emotions. In fact there is not a day that passes that Kali does not think of her parents and her little brother. She may not show much emotion but she does not forget the fact that these people were the ones that raised her at her deity’s wishes.

Kali is a lone wolf and does not do well working as a team, but if it means that the job will be done and she can be on her way, she will put up with anything, but she will not be happy about it. Though very few people have witness it, Kali has been known to smile and laugh, but this is a rare occasion and consider yourself honoured that she will do it genuinely, not in a sarcastic sense as she normally does. By no means is Kali untrustworthy, in fact she was always told to be completely blunt and true to everyone she met, this included giving them the devastating news that they were going to die at her hand. She may be a demon set forth by the deity, but she is also part human having been born by the ways of a human mother and father and therefore is capable of feeling emotions and pain.

On first impression, Kali would seem to be ruthless and uncaring of anyone and anything. Completely un-befriend able and cold hearted. One would think that she would put the lives of other in danger to achieve her goal and even go as far as murdering someone in the process if need be. She seems to be a character no one would dare get close to her in case they mix with the wrong crowd. Her appearance does not help one bit either, her rather roughish and flustered appearance would drive off the toughest of character. She travels alone and asks for help off of no one, she is a character that young kids would find to be ‘cool’ in her own weird way and would aspire to be like because of her roughish and uncaring attitude, they would even try to talk to her and befriend her, but parents would drag them away and tell them never to get close to her again in fear that she may put them in danger. She stands by one thing though: She was not sent forth by the Deity to rid the world of innocent people, she was sent as a watcher so that the Deity knows what exactly is going on in the human world. She is somewhat of a grim reaper.

All in all, Kali is the silent wanderer; she comes and goes without a trace.

Reason: Kali is a Demon sent forth by the deity to be her eyes and ears. Because of the fact she was born in a human way and not sent forth as a calamity she also has human characteristics as well as a demons and therefore can die, feel pain and emotion. Kali was sent forward as a sort of grim reaper for the Deity, killing those who’s lives were due to come to an end, a sort of bringer of justice. Though this is normally the work of god, her Deity also has a say on who is to die and be send to the demon world…a sort of Hades of Japan.
