The best nature for Gyarados has to be:

Adamant or Jolly,Adamant gives Gyarados more Attack Power,Jolly gives Gyarados Speed.

I would go with Adamant nature if I were you.

Brave nature. It increased my Kabutops attack to 315 when it reached level 100! Brave nature is the best one! Your attack will go really high! Trust me! But only one word of caution: This nature also will reduce your speed so be careful.
