Whats up with modest, calm? I dont really get how having a modest pokemon helps can you explain it to me?

As explained here, each Nature raises one stat by 10% and lowers another by 10%. There are five neutral Natures that raise and lower the same stat, so it doesn't affect your Pokemon at all.
Modest raises Sp. Attack and lowers Attack, so it's beneficial if you have a Pokemon with only Special Moves. You raise a stat it needs, and lower one it doesn't use.
