Natures?

I kinda new to the 3rd gen cause I took a big hiatus to pokemon, I
have a question what are natures and what do they do?

natures are like the personality of the pokemon. It determines what "flavors" of pokeblocks they like, and what they excel in. For example, the lonely nature increases their attack and lowers their defence, and likes the spicy "flavor," and dislikes the sour flavor. For more click this.
