ndis.vxd fatal error... halp?

Ask, and I expound.
On my pc, running ME, unless I disable the driver ndis.vxd, I get a blackscreen on every reboot attempt.

I'm a near neophite on the inner workings of drivers and such, so does anyone know a method of repair for such an error?

By the way, it can't involve the internet in any way. Though apparently my modem and router are still functional, the driver is somehow critical to the connection of the tubes- I'm having to type this from my Wii.
