need a sixth poke for my 3rd RS team

PDL

disenchanted
I've successfuly raised 36 pokemon to lvl 100... that is quite pretty big number as it is, but I'm planning on rasing this number to 60 (holy crap)

anyway, I need a sixth pokemon to round out my 3rd RS generation team... I should probably lay out some guidelines:

1. only pokemon that are "new" in Ruby and Sapphire. No older pokes, those will be for my other teams. (so no suggesting pokemon Gengar or someone from another game)

2. no legendaries. I just don't like using them all that much...

3. no resuing the same types.

4. none of the following pokemon, since they're already on my other teams:

Altaria
Manelectric
Aggron
Cacturne
Milotic
Blazkien
Breloom
Absol
Armaldo
Torkoal
Gardevior
Swampert

5. since this is entirely in-game, they won't be used in any serious competition, so they can be OU, or UU (maybe NU... depends on if it fits in with the team, yeah, I chose pokemon nearly entirely on asethiec quality, sue me)

6. I mostly use sweepers and the odd annoyer and tank, suggest something different if possible.

anyway, here's the pokemon I'm planning on using for this team

Swellow
(insert somebody here)
Camerupt
Sharpedo
Grumpig
Secptile

otherwise, everything else is up to you.

wha? oh shoot, I knew I forgot something...

um...

Swellow
Nature: Jolly
Aerial Ace
Steel Wing
Double Team
Facade

Grumpig
Nature: Calm
Psychic
Rest
Confuse Ray
Bounce

Sharpedo
Nature: Naughty or Mild (screw defenses, Sharpedo wouldn't survive long anyway...)
Crunch
Ice Beam
Surf
Earthquake

Camerupt
Nature: (suggestions?)
Flamethrower
Earthquake
Rockslide
(any ideas?)

Sceptile
Nature: Modest
Leaf Blade
Dragonclaw
(Thunderpunch would go here... only I don't have emerald)
(ideas?)

yeah, it's work in progress... since these pokemon will never see serious competition (except against my 8 year old cousin who's pretty awful at the game anyway) you can suggest anything you want... except move tutor moves from emerald, since I don't have that.

Good point. Stop posting then, and no one complains ;D Seriously, we'd all be happier. There are enough n00bs here as is ._.

Anyway, hello EvilKecleon. Welcome to RMT:D. Seen ya around a lot of other places, but this is a first.

Swellow
Jolly is excellent.

Aerial Ace is good.

Steel Wing, meh. Good for Type coverage, and Swellow doesn't get a whole lot else InGame.

Double Team, no. Just no. Swellow is too fragile to be playing around with luck like that. Don't use it on anything, not even Shuckle. Better to get in and kill while it still can.

Facade, yeah. Return works, too.

Grumpig
Calm is also excellent. You're lucky with Natures.

Psychic, yeah.

Rest, no. Grumpig may be durable, but it's not strong enough to be vulnerable for two turns.

Confuse Ray, no. They could snap out of it anytime, and there's no guarantee they'll hit themselves anyway.

Bounce, no. Just begs for a free switch. It doesn't get STAB, it doesn't get Super Effective hits, it just fails.

I would advise ditching Camerupt and Sharpedo. Neither are all that good.

Sceptile is pretty good. SeedSubStalling is better, but you have to breed it to get it. For yours, Dragon Claw yeah, HP Ice if you have it(probably not). Otherwise, Substitute.

I'd say go with Milotic for your last slot. You need a good Wall, Grumpig wont be absorbing hits for a long time.

would Dusclops be a good wall? the only ghost type I've used is Misdreavus in colosseum, and she was pretty good...

Misdreavus can survive random stuff to an extent, but it can be a pain to take out Dusclops with those brilliant Defenses(needs a lot more HP, though ._.). I guess its preference, and what your team needs more. Dusclops is Phys., MissyD is Special. You have a little more Phys., so maybe MissyD. It's your choice in the end.

Don't quote me or anything but I THINK as in my opinion, that you need a pyschic type or dark or ghost.
You'd be quite right if EK didn't already have a Grumpig.
