im teo months JAA will be in NYC. I have the start of a team for it, but I'm not sure what else to put on (note: if you could, please don't suggest any OU pokemon like elementalpunching alakazam or curselax please)
If you could, can you put Ev spreads and movesets, too?
EDIT: the team that i have started putting together now is a hazing Crobat and a special sweeper Gengar or a tank Dusclops, can you help me decide?

Lantarn with Volt Absorb
Attacks Thunder and charge.

I'm from NYC! Anyways...

This isn't build my team, it's rate my team. JAA is an Uber metagame in wich common staples are:

Kyogre/ Groudon
Chlorophyst/ Swift Swimmer
Mewtwo

yea, i kno, but i'm building my team, its not done yet, and i don't really want to use any ubers, simply because everyone else there will be. if anything, i'll get a rain dancer (probably lanturn) with thunder. DIE KYOGRE!!! And, for the Groudon, a casual Surf should do. oh, and what's metagame mean? its been pissing em off for a while now, what's that mean?

Prepare to lose without any ubers.

Lanturn seems like a good choice, but it really can't damage that much and sunny teams will destroy it.

Master Breeder
another common thing at JAAs is boomlax: return/shadow ball/protect/selfdestruct

Lol, all of those pokemon you mentioned master{...} will get eaten alive. Hell all metagross can do is explode.

The boomlax defense is in the move protect as well as endure to an extent.

Ok, to clarify my post, i'm building a team for JAA. now i know that everyone will be using ubers, and snorlax, but i want a non-uber team,(or just one) simply because i don't really like using ubers. but, if i must, here is a list of my ubers:
moltres ho-oh groudon
mewtwo lugia rayquaza
mew suicune deoxys(Speed)
snorlax kyogre
if you could, please recommend some pokemon that would be good so that i could relatively easily beat ubers, and also hold its own against some other types of teams thrown in there. Also, i kno that this might sound rethorical, but do the people at the JAA tournaments have ubers and non-ubers with max stats and perfect IVs?

It's impossible to know for sure, but there is like a 99% chance that they won't. To get max stats you have to have a beneficial nature (for that stat) and give it 252 EVs in there, PLUS getting perfect IVs. I don't know how to figure out the probability of that, but it's a lot.
And like blazemxx said, moltres, snorlax, and suicune ain't uber.

Another lineup you could use
Exploder (Snorlax or Mewtwo usually)
Smeargle @ Salac Berry (Spore/Endure/Endeavor/Move)
Jynx/Persian/Sneasel (basically any fast Fake Outer)
Filler x3

Those filler can be used in case the foe knows any priority modifier +1+ moves. Kyogre/Groudon/Swift Swimmer/Chlorophyllist/Rayquaza could be used here.

Strategy is to Blow up the first guy and have Smeargle Endure the hit. Next, send out a poke with Fake Out. Fake Out the slower guy and Spore the faster (assuming Smeargle is faster than both). Then, have Smeargle Endeavor the guy awake and also have your partner aim at that. They should die because an Endured Endeavor puts them at 1 HP, letting the partner wipe it out. Keep doing that until the opponent only has the sleeping pokemon on the field. Watch out for priority modifiers and Ghosts, and also pokes that are faster than a Salaced Smeargle (Swift Swimmer/Chlorophyllist in the rain/sun). Tyranitar can also mess you up. This strategy can eliminate unsuspecting people.

Because the creator of the rules are retarded. Plus, they are promotional, and for some obviously unknown reasons they probably banned them just because of that
