Need Help With Pokemon Crystal Issues

So... I have already replaced the batteries in Gold, Silver, and Crystal version, and only Gold and Silver's time clocks are staying accurate and time flows even when I'm not playing the game. Crystal's is still stuck on Wednesday, the day I began playing after replacing the battery. Time only flows when I'm playing the game, unlike with the others. I'm afraid it might be something to do with the crystal oscillator, and I'm hoping that's not the case. I may have to buy another cartridge...

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem ;201-?;

If you can save then it wouldn't be the battery - save data is stored as ram so it needs constant power to keep the data saved... I doubt it would be the clock signal oscillator as it's needed to make all of the components function in sync with each other, if it wasn't working then the whole game wouldn't function. I'm guessing it's the external clock function which would measure the time - only logical explanation. Probably going to have to replace the cartridge unless you know how to fix that ;)
