So i've decided to play pokemon emerald again but this time i'm trying to use pokemon I haven't really used before.

    Heres my team so far
Gardervoir (surprisingly never played through emerald with this)

I'm stuck for other team members i've though about using aggron, bannette or weezing. Any suggestions for other team members?

I don't know what pokemon did you use, but I'll try to help.

Lanturn (I used it in my last Emerald playthrough and... it's surprisingly awesome.)

You could use one of these Dragons:

    And maybe a Fighting type:

    Hope I helped!

I concur that Flygon could be good.

The litany of resistances of a steel type could also go a long way. Aggron I'm not a huge fan of because he's weak to water which is a minus against Glacia and Wallace, and the 4x weaknesses to fighting and ground kind of render the massive defence moot. He's pretty powerful offensively mind, if not quick. Magneton I've used and is a good choice, just try not to let it eat an Earthquake and don't bother attacking with steel moves, stick to special attacks. Skarmory can also work quite well with its physical durability.

Maybe you could use anorith. I'm using it in ruby and it's really good.

What's your playing style? Attack or defend? Hit right away or stat up?

    Moving to In-game team rate.

You'd also want to add in more info, such as level and their movesets; otherwise it's hard to rate.

    Help! Building my team

I'm still pretty early in the game and I really don't know what I should and shouldn't train. I want an all purpose team I can rely on. I need to make some replacement, although I would like to keep like half of my Pokemon. Here's my current team:

    Marshtomp lv27
    Breeloom lv27
    Kirlia lv25
    Manectric lv27
    Swellow lv27
    Linoone lv27

What should I keep, what should I replace?
I'm thinking of adding an Aron or a Skarmory, but do I really need fire, ice and dark type Pokemon?

If this is not the right thread for this, could someone direct me to where to post this? :p
