:637:In your opinion would you say neutral natures are good or bad, please no critizing anyone elses opinions.;135;
Personally I say yes because although you arent gaining anything your also not losing anything.

I'll often opt for a neutral nature if I really don't want to detract from any particular stat, or I simply want to keep my options open as far as how I'm going to use the pokemon. I figure I can always redo my EVs without having to breed a whole new pokemon, but if I've bred a Timid pokemon and I suddenly decide that I want to max out its attack for whatever reason, I pretty well have to hatch another pokemon.

But in general, there's usually at least one stat that's pretty well unusable, or at least doesn't help that particular pokemon much. In those cases, I'll always try to minimize that one to better another of its more useful stats.

I find they can have their uses.

For example, I prefer my Deoxys to have a neutral nature because of its form changes so that no form is an less useful than the others.

I prefer neutral natures for ingame because all-purpose pokemon are best there. In competitive play however, the boosts are needed and the detractions are less harmful do to pokemon fitting in to specific roles most of the time rather than being tasked with being able to offensively overcome everything that it's movepool will allow it to hit SE.
