We don't really know any details on the naming process of N's family...we barely know anything about N's family.

But considering how much that king sounds like N, and that (atleast in the manga) Zekrom's old hero wore a similar garment to what N wore at his coronotation makes it seem like his related to them somehow.

How and if he inherited those names from them is still up in the air.

Uhh... I'm still calling him N. That's just too weird for me to be calling him that. o_O

Random note: I showed pictures of Skyla and Elesa to my brother who barely plays Pokemon anymore (he doesn't know much about the 5th Gen), and he picked Skyla. -.-
