In fairness on the 10 year old thing that's really only been established in the anime as a hard rule. I don't recall the games ever stating it. Plus the pokemon world's safety laws are dubious at best (If i remember correctly the Mistralton Gym literally fires you out of multiple cannons)

As for the elite 4 I found it more odd that they re-used Larry in the elite 4. I thought they'd have used Raifort as the elite 4 flying member given she's literally got a bird logo on her
Did you miss the Marshadow hair accessories? She wears a variety of stuff.

I think Larry being an Elite 4 member works because more screentime since the joke is that he's the most boring/average dude so him coming out of the chamber showing that he's one of the strongest trainers in the region makes an interesting twist. It just wouldn't work as well if Kofu came out of the chamber and was like "Vaultin' Veluza!"

Finding out that the Professor Sada/Turo was dead all along was shocking. We haven't had a major death for a while. At least one who was dead with a AI speaking in pre-recorded voices and evolving strategies. And then the AI body has to return to the Past/Future to stabilize the time machine.

One of the most odd characters for me was that the Elite 4 is that one of the is Peppy a kid. It's already odd that pokemon has pre-school character as a trainer class. But a kid as a Pokemon League Elite 4 member is just really odd.
I've said it before and i'll say it again, why are small kids below 10 (age of consent to become a trainer in universe) allowed to train pokemons that can be dangerous?
We had the blue girl in sm as a trailer captain so..

I did miss that honestly. Though even if i'd seen it I'd have assumed given it was a mythical pokemon and given she sends you after a legendary Pokemon that it tied more to her history study rather than her type given we had a much more obvious fighting specialist in Dendra and much more obvious ghost specialist in Rhyme.

Where was it listed?
She looks like 6-7 to me
The earliest age for when you can take the Island Challenge is 11 and in Moon Mallow says that they have to retire from being a trial captain at 20

But the blue girl doesn’t take the island challenge. She is one of the challengers there.

They have to complete the challenge before coming a captain

It's sort of been pointed out by others around here but:

Does anyone else get weird vibes from Geeta? Most of the time she was fine but in some parts, there were sort of questions that could be raised. Originally, I just thought it was nothing much but after being pointed out on some moments and even experiencing them, I'm getting second thoughts; Like in a moment during Area Zero where her ace mon, Glimmora, was encountered in the wild while you were there and was a required fight. That moment was strangely given more attention than it should've like how it seems to be native to the area. To go on, its Pokedex entry is weird since it mentions that its petals seems to be related to the crystals that allow terastalization, which could somewhat indicate she knows and has been inside Area Zero. Although that can be argued against since its pre-evo, Glimmet, can be found outside of AZ. And for another, it was specifically from my POV after rematching the gym leaders, there was a moment of her calling you and one of the dialogue options was "Uh, How did you get my number...?". In which she just chuckles and says that she has access to all addresses and contact info of all Champion ranked trainers including yourself. It was just a really weird moment, the dialogue choice and moment itself.
You also can't rebattle the Elite 4 and Champion, which is a first for the series.

Oh really? Where was it stated? Didn’t know that hehe
Each captain completed all trails ?
I haven't played gen 7 in a while (because I lost my 3DS charger), I just found that on Bulbapedia

That was probably replaced with the Academy Ace Tournament which has players defeat 4 random opponents in single battles.

First time it's Arven (second rival) Jacq (homeroom teacher) Dendra (teacher) and finally Geeta.

It's probably part of being part of a academy/school

she also interestingly uses Espathra & Gogoat which if i remember correctly can also be found in area zero and Kingambit (whose pre-evolved form can be). Plus if you look at a book in the school that gives a lot of information about area zero (called the violet book in violet) there's a section which confirms the academy funded at least one expedition into area zero which considering she is the chairwoman of the board of the Academy's school board is also interesting if they funded Turo/Sada's research (which is not confirmed but to me seems plausible)

For a while? I don't think we've had a major death ever in the series. We've had vague references to dead Pokemon with the cemetery areas like Pokemon Tower, Mt. Pyre, etc. but IIRC we've never had a character outright die like this. I was utterly shocked when this was revealed, I was not expecting this kind of plot point from Pokemon when it's such a kid friendly series.

I'm not sure if this is what it's referencing, but it reminds me of how some people nowadays have to take two jobs to make a living. Larry does come off as being exhausted from his work. Guess even the Pokemon world is not immune to the same economic problems plaguing our world.

It was weird that Nemona speculated that Geeta caught her Glimmora in AZ and that didn't go anywhere. I'd be shocked if she doesn't at least know about AZ considering she's the League Chairwoman and head of the school board. Even if @Luthor's theory about her funding the Professor's research is false, she has to at least have been briefed on AZ by Clavell since she's his superior.

I'm also interested in how much Jacq knows. He created the Pokedex app and we're feeding him data about the Paradox Pokemon as we encounter and catch them. Did he already know about the Paldea Dex Pokemon in advance when he created the app or does he learn about them as you catch them? Was he involved in the Professor's research at all (I can't remember if this was ever mentioned)?

I also find it kind of funny that they don't say anything about you catching and battling with the Paradox Pokemon, seems like a major oversight (not quite sure it's a plot hole, but definitely an oversight) in the storyline. They make a big deal about how dangerous the Paradox Pokemon are and how much they would screw up the environment if they're allowed to roam free and they even go as far as keeping information about them confidential, but you can totally just yeet them out of Area Zero and battle them against any old NPC with impunity.

Is there any in-lore explanation why:
Larry has to be both a GL and E4? At first I thought it's because Tyme stopped being a GL but her spot was taken by Ryme so it does not match up... I'm wondering if E4 are treated as Champion-class trainers or none of them defeated Geeta

Regarding Nemona:
Does she ever mention any of her original Team Pokemon? I believe we can assume she had a Combat Breed Tauros based on intro but anything beyond it?

What is the airspeed of an unladen Swellow?
So I finally challenged the Normal-Type gym last night...and my first thought was that they modeled him after a mashup of actor Nicholas Cage and the Michael Scott character from The Office.

At what point we can stop using Spoiler Tabs to discuss the characters and various plot points?
