NETE MO SAMETE MO
(UNIVERSAL SIGMA)
Vocals: Polkadot Stingray
Lyrics: Shizuku
Composition: Shizuku
Arrangement: Polkadot Stingray

This is Shizuku from Polkadot Stingray, and I love Pokémon. I first encountered the franchise at age 4, and that's when I devoted my life to it. I got so carried away I actually became a video game developer at one point, but even now that I'm a musician, Pokémon will always be number one in my life! I was actually crying as I wrote this song; The hope present in Liko and Roy's adventure, the impression their world gives off, and the way all the characters grow over time... This show just has so much appeal! Nete mo samete mo is Pagogo's... sorry, I'm running out of space here! Yeeeah!!!!! Pocket Monsters has allowed me discover so many new things, and it's going to continue doing so in the future as well! I could actually write another 100000 characters or so, but I'll give you the rest of them in the actual song! Look forward to Nete mo samete mo, Polkadot Stingray's masterpiece and the highlight of my life!
-Shizuku, Polkadot Stingray

Rising Again:
We've received comments from Shizuku-san from Polkadot Stingray, who are responsible for the Pokémon anime ending theme "Nete mo samete mo"! This huge Pokémon fan told us how she felt when she learned they'd be handling the ending:

Hello everyone, this is Shizuku from Polkadot Stingray. This time we'll be handling "Nete mo samete mo", the ending theme to the TV show Pocket Monsters Rising Again. I'm so happy! I'd now like to tell you all kinds of things about the song and about Pokémon.
How did you feel when you learned you had been chosen to handle the theme song?
When I learned we were going to do the theme song, I got so happy I cried. And then, when it was time to turn the song from a demo into a fully realized track... or rather, when we got the point of starting to write the full song, I cried again as I was writing the lyrics. I was so happy I cried, see? And then when we were doing the final recording, of the vocals, I cried again as I was editing them by myself at home. I was so happy! Thank you so much.
How did the Pokémon anime influence the song?
There's a lot of aspects of the Pokémon anime I find appealing, but I was really torn about which specific elements I'd pick as the ones I'd express through the song. However, I... well, personally, hope that Nete mo samete mo particularly manages to express the, you know... what do you call it, the... hope? present in Liko and Roy's adventure, as well as the, you know, kind of way the world feels so vast and pure. Those are the aspects I wanted to express using sound, so the song gives off this kind of sparkling pure feeling overflowing with hope, I think. Please give it a listen.
Finally, do you have something you want to tell to the viewers?
I think I've managed to throughly cram what I love about Liko and Roy's adventure, about the Pokémon anime, into the ending theme Nete mo samete mo. This turned out to be an extremely personal song for me, so let's all support Liko and Roy's adventure while dancing briskly to Nete mo samete mo! I really really hope you'll check it out! Yay yay! With that said, the Pocket Monsters TV show airs every Friday at 6:55pm on the TV Tokyo Network. The Rising Again arc, which features Nete mo samete mo as its ending theme, premieres Friday October 31st. Please watch the anime all the way to the end and enjoy the ending theme as well. This has been Shizuku. Bye bye.

Pokémon Anime New Chapter Premiere:
We present some side comments from Shizuku-san from Polkadot Stingray, the singer of the new ending theme for Rising Again. Here she talks about what she thinks of Soublades and Amethio, as well as her favorite Ghost type Pokémon:

We know you like Amethio and Soublades, what exactly is it about them you like?
I really love Amethio and Soublades, but you know, when Amethio first appeared, when he first appeared in the Pokémon anime, my reaction was just an ordinary "Hm, he seems villainous. Hm"... you know, something like that. But see, I really really love Ghost type Pokémon, and the exact moment he said "Soublades!" and sent out Soublades, so the exact moment I realized his partner was a Soublades, I started really liking him. I think he might have even become my favorite character. But then I kept watching, and watching, and I realized that Amethio is a character who really sticks to his beliefs, and you know, that really resonates with my own way of thinking as a working adult and member of society. So I really love the character now because that part of him really resonates with me. And I really stan Soublades as well!
Do you have any Pokémon-related memories you'd like to share?
The first video game I ever played in my life, back when I was about 4 years old, was Pocket Monsters Red. That made me fall in love with Pokémon and with video games, and I feel like it's stayed that way for about 30 years now, you know. So because of that, Pokémon has always been number one in my life.
What is your favorite Pokémon, and why?
My favorite? Well, I really love Ghost types, so... Well, sorry Soublades, but it's Mimikkyu. Sorry, I just love it so much. Not just in terms of looks, but also in terms of how strong it is... It's a Ghost type, so it has this slightly scary vibe to it as well, you know. Like, what would happen if you were to look inside it? I love that kind of stuff. Ah, it's so cute. It's my favorite for sure. Sorry.

The Pagogo call out could mean that the ending is focusing on him. It's great that the ending is being done by someone who is such a fan :).

Um, aren't all actors and singers working for this into Pokemon regardless.

Shizuku-san from Polkadot Stingray, the singer of the new ending theme for Rising Again, really loves Ghost types, so we're giving you some candid Halloween-themed photos. Make absolutely sure not to miss a single bit of today's episode from the start of the opening animation to the end of the ending animation, both of which will be shown for the first time today!

I noticed Hattrem was featured quite a bit in the ending, could that mean she’s going to evolve too? Man, I can’t wait for Liko’s development. Hattrem and Charcadet evolving and the potential Pecharunt capture (since it was briefly shown in the opening), things are looking so good for her. It’s a shame she probably won’t get a Mega Evolution, though.

The new Pokémon anime ending theme has premiered! Here's a creditless video of the Rising Again ending theme Nete mo samete mo by Polkadot Stingray. Check it out here:
The song also gets brought up on Polka Shizuku no Kariage Lab. Listen to that as well with Time-free, okay?
