1.) Follow the main forum rules: http://www.serebiiforums.com/rules.html IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THE MAIN FORUM RULES AFTER YOU MAKE A FACE OFF, IT WILL BE CLOSED AND YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO REMAKE IT.

*Note: Spam in this forum is considered to be any post that does not pertain to the face-off. However, posts with excessive side conversation in addition to a vote or tally are also considered spam. Keep the side conversations to a minimum.

2.) As of right now, no face-offs that aren't Pokemon related are allowed. But this is subject to change.

3.) When you create a face-off, make sure that there isn't already one like it and that it's not spammy. Make sure it explains the face-off and the rules of the face-off. Otherwise, your face-off will be deleted on sight in the modCP.
Examples of what to do for a face-off:
http://www.serebiiforums.com/showthread.php?t=120542
http://www.serebiiforums.com/showthread.php?t=137017

4.) Be sure to have read the Face-off glossary before participating in Face-offs. Very important. The face-off glossary is here: http://www.serebiiforums.com/showthread.php?t=167859

5.) If a face-off has been inactive for longer than two weeks (as in no posts have been made in it) then the face-off will be closed and anyone may restart a face-off identical to that one that was closed.

*About "staryuing" - If the owner of a face-off has not been active in the thread for two weeks (this does not require the thread to be inactive, just the owner, or thread starter. I will from now on consider the two of them the same - the reason this is so is that it is easier for mods to keep track of who owns the face-offs when the owner is the same as the thread starter.) then someone may claim the thread ("staryu" it) if it is not closed due to rule 5. The user, however, must start a new thread and PM an active Face-offs mod, letting them know that the thread is being staryued and providing a link to the thread that is staryued. Staryuing will not be guaranteed if you do not follow this exact procedure. All face-off owners should keep active in their own thread if they do not wish for it to be closed or staryued by someone else, as the owners will not get a warning of when their thread has been closed or staryued or is about to be closed/staryued.

6.)Face-off owners may ban a user from a face-off (request that the person not post in the face-off), however, make sure that the ban is FAIR and the user who was banned broke rules. If a moderator deems a face-off owner's ban as unfair, then the ban is overruled and the user may continue to post in the owner's face-off.

7.)If you live in Antarctica, then the cannibalistic penguins have the right-of-way. Disregard this if you are not from Antarctica.
