I was gonna post in my other one but, it's verging on a bumped thread status so i made a new one:

here's my team:

I don't have any leftover yet though so i won't have any hold items
Also; Don't know how to EV train properly

I'm at the Elite 4 but i can't get past the first trainer

You could change your Arcanine to a Ninetales (probably just me being a fan of the underused here)

Your haunter should be EV trained in Sp. Att and Speed, with a Modest nature and leave the Shadow Ball at home (yes, it gets STAB, but Confuse Ray would be a better choice defensively and considering Gengar's poor Att)

Mr. Mime could probably use a defensive move such as barrier or reflect in place of magical leaf - it's not that powerful, it's not super-effective against many types (especially considering Thunderbolt covers water), and you don't get STAB.

All of the above is entirely opinion and may well ruin your team so I wouldn't take my word for it Your team is well balanced and you've obviously thought about covering yourself against any opponent. However, I did notice a big lack of defensive moves - every member of your team is a sweeper! Having mentioned Ninetales above, I would be tempted to go with a tank like Blissey or even an annoyer such as Crobat. In fact, Crobat is awesome. Go Crobat!

well i can't get ninetales, because i'm FR and don't have anyone to trade with yet, and i don't have the national dex

I have gotten up to my rival in the league but his Charizard keeps on killing me i don't know what to do
