Not sure how much I can say, but I figure this is safe enough: Pokemon ShinyGold is not an official game release. For more info you'd probably have to look elsewhere because I'm not sure it could be discussed here.

"Shiny Gold is a hack of Fire Red / Leaf Green made to look like a remake of Gold version. Since Gold and Silver were my favorite games in the series, this seemed rather interesting to me. I haven't gotten very far in the game yet, so I'm not sure if it's even fully completed. Parts of it are kind of glitchy as well, and the female trainer sprite ... doesn't exist. It's basically a blue blob."

I played it. Its pretty cool, but it has a few glitches. Best thing to a real G/S remake.
