New Legendary Trio

I think that in D/P will be three legendaries like in older games:
R/B/Y/FR/LG: Zapdos, Moltres and Articuno.(bird)
G/S/C: Entei, Raikou and Suicune.(beasts)
R/S/E: Regirock, Regice and Registeel.(golems)

Well, anyone have any idea that how the new trio will be?
I think they will be like snakes, like Gyarados, Milotic, Gorebyss etc.

The Regis are golems

A topic on this already had stated what the legends were based off, and the fourthone were something like turtles.

dogs==mid area or ground??

I would assume that the next set would represent air if the dogs represent the ground or spirit if they are more of an area in between.

but as I assume in all the legendaries... there's not necesarily a pattern to be deciphered... just random concepts that the creators think are fun at the time.

I can't really picture any humanoid Pokemon that wouldn't look really strange though.

I'd like to see a ghost legendary trio. Like ghost/fire-ghost/eletric-ghost/ice, ghost/fire-ghost/grass-ghost/water, ghost/dark-ghost/psychic-ghost/fighting, or ghost/rock, ghost/steel, ghost/ice. Although I'm just dreaming. Latios I dont think a land-sea-sky thing would work afterall R/S/E kinda already have that with Groudon/Kyogre/Rayquaza.

I think We wil see More than Just Thre we might see a trio set that is a counter part to the Present trio's that we now have>Like Maybe a trio of cats to counter part Entei,Raikou,Suicune,> Counter parts of zapdos<Articuno,Moltress would be, A trio Of Legendary:Bugs like worms.Thus for the regie's we might see New regie's Like A fire type,Eletric regi,Water regi. I'd call them:Regiblaze,Regivolt,Regiwave> and As for the Really big Legends like Grounodn Ect.WE Might Hvae some that represent <Life,Death,Rebirth.To sum This all up I'd Like to add that If anyone has noticed With Each Generation,There seem to be More legends Like in The first gen we had<5,Then for the 2 gen. we had7,Then for the 3rd gen. we had,!0 legnds and if this patetern continues we might see 13 legends For the #rd gen. and that includes, the Pkmn like deoxys and Jirachi that they usauly add In the Mid term ciycle{1/year after the release}with some kind of event.;munchlax;

I believe that we will be seeing dragons, especially if the new region is set in the north. Several members in the past recollected that these legendary trios were each based off of a Japanese legend, and should that legend hold true we will be seeing a northerly region and a draconic trio. Personally I'm hinging on the validity of this statement.

Doesn't that mean that the regi-trio represent the turtle? I can't see the likeness...

;227; It's actually quite a long shot. The Regis are supposed to be golems, which very loosely look like turtles without shells.
And I as well am hoping to see a draconic trio as well. I would like it if they were Fire, Ice and Steel, because those Types just seem to fit. Fire/Dragon would be your basic Western dragon with flaming wings or something, Ice/Dragon would be maybe a Chinese dragon, with ice crystals along it's back or something. Steel/Dragon could be any dragon, but with over-exaggerated armor. Those are my crap ideas, hope you liked them.

Yeah, bats will be great but there shouldn't be like three new birds because we already have Zapdos Moltres and Articuno.

Hydragon: a water/dragon type. symbolizing birth (because life itself originates from the water). it would look like a blue dragon, with a fish like tail instead of the common dragon tail. it would also have wings.
Ghosagon: dragon/Ghost, symbolizing death. (because the spirit remains after the body dies) it is a black dragon, andclearly the scariest of the trio. it has large batlike wings, and a tail ending in a scythe.
Pyragon: Fire/dragon, symbolizing rebirth (because the phoenix dies in flames to rise again from it's ashes) it's a orange/red dragon, and is closest to the stereotypical dragon.
each of these 3 dragons bears tribal markings on its face

By this you mean a new Dragon trio right?

^Ancient insect legendaries would be raw to the tenth power. I would LOVE to see that, but as it's likely D/P will take place in the north, I don't think it'll happen this generation.

We need a dragon/ghost trio. Very airy, thin, intricate dragons, all part ghost. While dragons are the most likely, if they were part ghost, they'd actually be the one trio I like (as long as Nintendo doesn't mess up their looks).

ehm, as far as I know, only 1 new Pokémon will be revealed, not 3 or more...unfortunately.

and yes fidani, I ment a dragon trio, I am seriously hoping for this, because it seems logical to have dragons, and in this way, there might be a legend around them, and there's some data for the pokedex

Bats are mammals, but I get your point, three more flying legendarys, well most of them can fly/levitate anyways.

Raikou,Entei: 2x weakness to ground
Regirock,Registeel: 2x weakness to ground; Regirock, Regice: 2x weakness to steel
how about a Grass, fire, and water ones? Obviously, not the starters, but ones that aren't weak to the same thing
