New Mario Kart

Well, there's obiously gonna be a new Mario Kart for the Wii, sooner or later. Well, what do you think Nintendo's gonna name it? What cool features do you think will be in the game? And what new characters do you think will be in there? This is what I think:

Name: Mario Kart Twisted
Cool New Features: No more curcuits. Only Twisted courses, for more drifting.
New Characters: Poplular Nintendo Characters. Pokemon Characters, Zelda Characters, Metroid Characters [DS Version], and Kirby Characters.
Other: Choice from Single Kart, Double Kart, and Quad Kart.

Quad Kart details: Pokemon Team, Light Weights: Pikachu, Buizeru, Heavy Weights, Mewtwo, Lucario. Zelda Team, Heavy Weights, Link, Zelda, Light Weights, Little Green Jello Guy, and Little Red Jello Guy. Metroid Team, Samus, and 3 other charcters from prime hunters. Kirby Team, Heavy Weights, Kirby, Blue Kirby, Light Weights, Yellow Kirby, and Green Kirby.

So what would you like the new Mario Kart to be called? And what new features, characters, etc.

A mod can close this if this has been discussed before.

Wtf? There'll NEVER be a MK game like this. Yes, there will be one for Wii. But no, it won't be a crappy SSB wanna-be. It's called MARIO Kart, meaning Mario characters and ONLY Mario characters. And the circuit thing has been around forever. And there're a lotta people who hate drifting. Even then, with courses like that, people would get pretty annoyed.

But, when the actual MK for Wii comes out, then I'll definitely buy it. But one like this? Never on my life.

If Nintendo have any sense, they'll call it this. Why? Because it will redefine the series - it'll be the best of them all, it'll be online, and it'll have more tracks - not just circuits, either - than any other. I hope. The name?

You weirdo, that would be Nintendo racing, not Mario Kart. You've invented a completely different (though the concept is old hat) game. Why would there be non-Mario characters in a Mario game? Makes absolutly no sense.

And quad cart is a horrible idea.

I would want to play the new Mario Kart game, but the one example that was givin doesn't sound good. If they only added in twisted cicuits, I wouldn't want to play it. And all those characters will never get in. If a single one of those characters got it, I wouldn't want to play it.

As for new characters, I don't think they'll be adding any in. Mario Kart isn't like SSB, where the character you choose depends on how you preform, so I really don't see any reason to add any new characters in.

Actually, in the Mario Kart games, the character you choose does affect your performance slightly. In MKDS Bowser is better at drifting and powersliding and Toad has better ability to weave in and out. Some characters don't though.

In the main discussion, I agree. That's a horrible idea and it should not be considered by Nintendo. Although legally Nintendo can't anway.

I say give Mario Kart a rest until at least a full year into the Wii's lifespan. One per system is definitely enough. In fact, you know what I'd like to see instead? WARIO KART. Wario, Waluigi, the WarioWare crew, and the Mean Emcee from Wario World.

When any character can have any kart, who cares? The only good karts are the initial 3 karts of Yoshi, Dry bones, Luigi to an extent, and R.O.B. to an extent. Bowser's karts get terriible miniturboes ._.

Also, I'm an avid player of mkds, and I liked mkdd a lot, so yeah - I'll be getting it when it comes out.

Since its Mario Kart I doubt anything outside of Mario & DK Characters will be in it. If they were to make a game like that they should call it Nintendo Kart Racing or something.

Meh, I couldn't care less what characters are in it, just as long as the tracks are awesome, and you play kind of like in Excite Truck. I'd be fine with that.
