I actually didn't even notice that that was supposed to be pantyhose. I mean, I know the Japanese like sexualizing everything, but really? LOL

do people not know that 'pantyhose' (americans have weird words for things) ripping in places is a thing that actually happens day to day when people wear them, and is not foremost some intentionally done thing to be fetishised like people on this thread seem to think it is

it's actually a really cute and cool idea to me, yoga instructor Mega Lopunny here to kick some tail with legs ripped enough to rip their tights just by moving. with rockin' adorable pigtails and a butterfly on their forehead. nice

the idea of subpunch Scrappy with the thing sounds incredible once any fairies, especially those with Hypervoice and Pixilate, are out of the field

Double-Edge,Thrash, Return are all going to be very powerful with this ability and it's possible some moves may be added to it's movepool in ORAS. Imagine if they gave it extreme speed.

If they did that, it'd be an instant ban to Ubers. Ex-Speed is probably the best priority move in the game in terms of Power, a Priority of 2, and having no draw backs besides being blocked by Ghost types, which wouldn't even matter because of Aerilate, which after STAB, changes the BP of Ex-Speed to 156 *shivers*. Plus, the thing gets both Moxie AND Dragon Dance... Not even Ice Shard users have a chance to kill it.
GF I'm begging you, don't do this...

On another note, I knew the Dragon/Fairy type was happening sooner or later, but I'm actually a bit sad it's restricted to a Mega Evolution. It's not too bad because Altaria gets Roost, but the lack of a hold item kinda gets to me. At least it will both resist Knock Off, as well as not lose it's item (bye bye Mandibuzz).

I think the point of the pantyhose thing is that in America, ripped pantyhose are often sexualized as a party girl fashion (e.g. Ke$ha). I love Lopunny's design anyway though

Well...today happened. So we're getting a Normal/Fighting Mega Lopunny. And a Dragon/FAIRY type for Altaria? I didn't expect them to get creative and change the typing like that. Then again Altaria is a nice fluffy cloud, so what other type could it be. And we also get a Beldum with Metagrossite, which will be released as an event. A SHINY EVENT. Who do I choose?! I know-I'll do both because I'm getting both Omega Sapphire and Alpha Ruby

People don't work out in pantyhose anymore. Not to mention they're emphasizing the fitness aspect of Fighting type so why would it be pantyhose?

Game freak made what could have been amazing megas into ok megas. Mega sceptile has a nice design but they gave it lightning rod, which is useless. Who would be stupid enough to use electric type moves against sceptile? And since rain got nerfed, swampert's swift swim is useless. Also, I find rain teams bad even in gen 5. Rain lowers the power of fire type moves and rain teams rely on water types and and water types are weak against grass types and the best counter against grass types are fire types. Someone earlier was excited that M-Lopunny opened the door to more non-Hoenn Mega Evolutions being present in ORAS. If there are more(not unlikely at all) I nominate Druddigon. This tough guy is pretty overlooked and underloved. Seeing as we don't have a Gen 5 ME yet, he'd do well to be included. Although there are other Gen 5 pokemon who could also stand to be the gen's "Mega Ambassador" like Mienshao, Haxorus, Zoroark, and others.

I agree...druddigon is extremely overlooked b/c its the only first stage dragon with no evolution (besides legendaries) and no one uses him b/c there are much better options for dragon types (haxorus, garchomp, salamance). I think dragon/rock would be a good type change, especially if they were to add stone edge to its movepool

That's actually viable as well but camo is definitely a bit more splotchy all over the place and the way it's patterned seems to "show off" the fur underneath (or that would be if he was wearing leggings).

well they did reveal Mega Sableye via video around the same time as Coro Coro came out last a few months back, so there is a chance we'll get a mega in a video at gamescom

That ability can be pretty useful for sceptile in the metagame, if you predict the opponents move correctly and have sceptile switch in to an electric move. And I've seen quite a few rain teams recently; I think the national doubles champion actually used a rain team.

I really can't get over mega altaria right now...There's so many sets you can run with it!!! I can be special with d-pulse/draco, flamethrower, hyper voice and roost/ draco, It can be physical with dragon claw, dragon dance, EQ and return, it can even be a wall with cotton guard and roost now since it lost its 4x weakness! It can also freely switch into garchomp and dragonite outrages once it megas...It's sooo awesome!!!

Seriously. Poison's underated, not hated. As far as popularity, Amoongus, Roserade, Toxicroak, Scolipede, freaking Crobat are all prime examples of how the type is well loved. And those Nidos... Need I say more?

Megamence looks like a weapon, so does Megagross though. I'm excited for Intimidate and Aerilate shenanigans. And even more bird spam this generation. Aerilate Double Edge and Thrash are never something to scoff at. And Salamence gets Body Slam and Hyper Voice thanks to pevious gen tutors. Unlike Pinsir, it also has recovery in Roost. Prepare your anus.

Also unlike pinsir, it doesn't get priority. prepare your Mamoswines, cloysters and weaviles lol

That wouldn't work though, because you can't switch in a Mega, it needs another turn to Mega Evolve. Lightningrod on Mega Sceptile is near useless because the opponent can predict you're going to run Mega Sceptile ahead of time and they wouldn't dare use an Electric type move on it, the only situation I can see it being useful is in Double Battles.
