New Mega Evolutions Discussion Thread

I need the source, not because I don't believe it, but we need when it was said.

I got it from Pokebeaches most recent post, about Hoopa-F, but they've edited it out since.

My main concern about no more mega is that I'd like to see a couple more gen5 ones, besides just Audio (which is cool but..you know, there's a plenty of more appealing pokemons in gen5).
I still got a little bit hope for some more megas, but if it's not it would be fine anyway, those games seem to have a lot of fun content anyway.

I don't care the data dump says about Mega Evolutions. I can't imagine that Gamefreak revel every single new Mega Before release. they would save some for a surmise once we play the game. So in my opinion so more are coming that the data doesn't show. Hopefully some Gen 5 Pokemon will be in there.

clearly, Game Freak, in their infinite majesty and wisdom, decided to restrict some data but not all of it from the demo's coding, knowing full well that a small handful of their audience that frequented the Internet might see it if someone were to hack it, and thus elected to leave it out 1% of the data in order to bring more joy to the faces of the people who spoiled themselves on the game they were going to buy anyway

there's no other plausible explanation, because my fav Pokemon not getting a Mega Evolution is impossible

I'm going to be the minority and say this is it, because if weren't they wouldn't have left in that Hoppa forme.

Yes you could argue the demo doesn't have all the final games data, but from the looks of it we've got well over half which probably means this is it.

Still waiting for mega-shiftry you see a shiftry so often in trailers and in corocoro with mega evolution battles.

COuld we all agree that even with those hack-leaks that we won't know for sure if that is it (even though it looks like that) until the actual games come out? Both sides could be right and well you know reading 10 pages of 'i do not believe this is it' and 'this is it because hacked demo' is just well turning in a circle we're not getting out off...

but getting back on topic, seeing that primal reversion and mega together is possible... will primal kyogre and mega swampert work?

It is confirmed that Hoopa uses a key item to become its devilish new forme. This means it can hold items. RIP

You can use a primal AND a mega in your team.

Wait, is this actually part of the demo, or just more hacked stuff, because if it is more hack stuff I'm going to stay far away from these threads until the games come out since I've been spoiled enough

If we got by the Pokedex in-game, you have 7 post-league megas, and 10 during the storyline. I personally believe there's no way in hell when the game got pushed so hard for introducing new megas that the numbers would be so low. I think we still have a good 10-15 new megas to go. They need some sort of surprise.

20 if you include x/y's hoenn megas

It's just hacked stuff, relax.

However it does reveal we can use both a Primal and an mega on the same team.

Im expecting mega flygon, milotic, plusle, minun, and jynx because milotic and flygon are fan favorites and if the list from X and Y are right im expecting plusle, minun, and jynx to get a mega

You do realize that having both Mega Rayquaza and one of the primals on a team is redundant since their abilities cancel each other out, right?
