New natures

Suddenly this came from my head, I think there should be natures involving the hp, don't you think? Like happy, carefree, etc

Sharp

Oooh, is it?
I never really used to pay attention to the natures at first, then I realised that they meant something different in status...I would welcome more but I also would be happy to keep it the way it is.

Erm...No. The system for the natures is just fine now. Changing it would be EXTREMELY pointless and would only serve as an annoyance in the end. :<

Why in Shiva's name would we need new natures? We have one to impart any sort of reduction/enhancing combo you could possibly want, and if that's not enough, you also have five neutral natures.

There's no room for any more natures considering these circumstances, and that if any new natures are created that are not mere redundancies, that would necessitate a whole new category of move in the Contests and a brand-new flavor of Pokeblock.

Simply put, it's entirely infeasible.

they'd also have to invent an entirely new stat, and this would mean a complete rehaul of gameplay.

it's not going to happen.

Thing is, HP is the most stable of the stats, as represented by the fact that there is no "HP Deoxys" and the fact that there is currently no Nature that influences HP.
So, like others have said, no.

what exactly does the existance of a pokemon have to do with a certain stat?

Thinking about the contest and lots of things involved natures, yeah is fine now

I withdraw reluctantly.
It would be annoying to get a Shedinja with one of these natures. Blissey, on the other hand, would be super-buffed. Though this isn't the major problem.

We'd have two out of seven of the Pokemon in the new games would be unable to trade, so I don't want the extra hassle to have these new natures.

Edit: If we had a neutral nature for HP, then it would be 5 out of 18.

No, this will not happen. This would make it harder than it already is to get a good nature on a Pokemon. It's also won't happen because the 3rd generation would not have these natures, therefore ruining the game mechanics for the 3rd generation and making Diamond and Pearl unable to trade with Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, and LeafGreen. Remember other people's reasons, too.

HP Deoxys would be lol. It would have base 50 stats across the board, but a maximum of around 1000 HP. No new natures please. I'd like HP to go up more though, ie. it only takes 2 effort points to go up or something.

Well if they're gonna be new natures there aren't going to be many cuz we already have many + I don't think nintendo gonna bother making new natures......anyways I wouldn't mind seeing new ones.

I can't see there being an addition of new natures because there's no real point to add them. Anyway, the chart is perfect as it is, just as the type chart doesn't need adjustments.

If it ain't broken, don't fix it. [\tacky]

Anyway, I really don't see the point because the natures are fine as is, and in good balance.

Hmm... I think only new D/P can learn those.

If something like a 1, 2, or 3 generation Pokémon can learn a new nature, and you would trade him, ... You know what i'm meaning :)

It could add 5% to 2 stats and lower another 2 by 5% instead of 10% on 1 stat... But I can't see that happening...

The 2 new natures could possibly make a pokemon learn moves quicker... or do something other than affect stats... The pokemon's fav. contest type would be random... I dunno, it's confusing.

I dont think there could be new natures....
But it would be cool if you have an 5% chance or something
That you have a new nature that raises 2 stats and doesnt disgreas something
