New New Sprite Thread

Not sure quite why my threads keep dying. I do update a lot.
Anyway. I still mostly do recolors, which people say are easy. Because they are, but I think I do them rather tastefully. I'm always happy to get any sort of comments on what I do well and what I need to improve on.
I've been making sprites for about two months now and I'm still getting better.

I have a request shop here.

I do a lot of series like these.

Rainbows, stripes and gradients have become my main focus. People seem to like them at the request shop. If you like them, come and get one made for you. Or five. You can never have enough.

And of course the mundane everyday sort of recolors. I've been doing less of these and more things of an experimental nature.

I've tried some revamps. Still need practice, though.

I did... One devamp.

I'm pretty good at making Pokemon-shaped maps, also.

I tried making my first two fossils on 6/19

Not bad the recolours are very good. mixes are good by the voltorb/gastly there is still red. And for the revamps the outlining must have colours and try make a own shading. For the rest is good

the mixes coukd use some work like on the ekans dratini its mising an ear
the electrode-whatever mix is missing an eye naybe scratch that one in and the proportoin on the pika rattata max is bad one ear is bigger than the other use the rattata sprite for proportion help

I use the trial version of Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7 for the mixes, and most of the rainbows. I used MS Paint for the map.

Someone noticed that before you, I swear... I thought I edited the other ear in, but let me look for that. I might have saved under another name. Heck, or in another folder. I'm so disorganized.

It's Cascoon/Electrode.. I think Cascoon has only one eye. Anyway, that was kind of my intention.

I don't know how. I don't think I have a program for that.

Hmn, yeah.. I had just taken the ears from Pikachu. This is the first part I've ever tried to resize by hand, so I think it looks a little odd. But I did try to fix it.

I tried to draw in the 'angry brow' thing from Gastly. Overkill, maybe? I could take that out.. *puts it on long to-do list*

I made a short route and a tiny little town in GSC style. Criticism wanted mostly on how it's put together. I know the design is really simple.


I have no GSC overworlds. Does anyone know where I can get some.?

The rainbow-colored Pokémon are all cool-looking save for Articuno and Zapdos, who look very unprofessionally recolored. The rest of your content is "meh" to me, in that I don't really care either way... As for your route, it's fine, but perhaps you should make the two houses at the top have the same roof style...

Ah. The Articuno and the Zapdos series at the top were the first I did out of those. They also took the longest amount of time. I've been thinking of redoing them less... bold. They were for my little sister, and she always wants everything brighter. I'll have the Zapdos and Articuno redone in like.. 5 minutes.

Wow.. um. This is another of those times when I have to admit I'm an idiot. I honestly have no clue what WBG means. Wiki says nothing and Urbandictionary says it's a wanna be gangster. Every search engine I've tried just spits out German websites. xD So yeah, no clue at all.

You need to re-outline your sprites in the original colors. They are all outlined in black. Big no-no
