So is Iono!

Though I quite honestly don't think they'll do the League Club Coaches. I think it's more likely we'll be going back to Paldea and there'll be a Gurumin/Iono-centric episode because the opening did tease something Gurumin-related.

To be honest, the intro is rather boring and lacks the same excitement and upbeat spirit that, for example, "Halo" had.
An intro is supposed to get the audience excited, but this is rather melancholic and bland and, at least to me, sounds more like some background music.
Maybe I'll get used to it someday but it surely won't become my favorite intro.

Btw. What does "Iolite" mean in the first place?

Btw. What does "Iolite" mean in the first place?

It's a mineral also known as Cordierite.

As Eve says, it symbolizes guidance and direction due to its ability to function as a primitive compass.

As the transparent variety iolite, it is often used as a gemstone. The name "iolite" comes from the Greek word for violet. Another old name is dichroite, a Greek word meaning "two-colored rock", a reference to cordierite's strong pleochroism. It has also been called "water-sapphire" and "Vikings' Compass" because of its usefulness in determining the direction of the sun on overcast days, the Vikings having used it for this purpose. This works by determining the direction of polarization of the sky overhead. Light scattered by air molecules is polarized, and the direction of the polarization is at right angles to a line to the sun, even when the sun's disk itself is obscured by dense fog or lies just below the horizon.

The song lyrics essentially use iolite as a synonym for (metaphorical) compass.
