I think it’s a Corviknight pre evolution. Look closer at the design, it looks like it’s holding something. And given that these are all sponsors, it could be the logo for the Galar Taxi CompanyOn the back of Leon's Cape, I see what might be the regional early bird (its brown with white cheeks). Looks kinda like a house sparrow Pokémon.

Edit: it has a peafowl looking crest. Could we finally be getting our peacock?
I think the most jarring thing for me, new Pokemon-wise, is the fact that Duraludon is stated to "share their habitat with Tyranitar, and these two Pokémon are often seen battling each other in the mountains of the Galar region," which is some pretty nice lore... except they also made Tyrannitar version-exclusive to Shield, and so within Sword it simply doesn't make sense.
I really hope Rolycoly becomes a decently speedy Rock/Fire type. Or at least capable of actually using its ability (unlike Pallossand for example).
Keep in mind its not like version exclusive pokemon don't exist in their counterpart game (hence why you'll fight trainers who have them regardless), they just aren't catchable for game mechanic reasons rather than lore reasons.I think the most jarring thing for me, new Pokemon-wise, is the fact that Duraludon is stated to "share their habitat with Tyranitar, and these two Pokémon are often seen battling each other in the mountains of the Galar region," which is some pretty nice lore... except they also made Tyrannitar version-exclusive to Shield, and so within Sword it simply doesn't make sense.
While its design is somewhat stylized for that logo, I really hope a new Pokémon wouldn't look THAT similar to Pelipper: same bill, same two little feet sticking out the back, same wings that split into exactly three blue "digits." Slurpuff was the mascot of Alola's malasada shops despite not being in the Alola Dex, so I don't think these logos necessarily have to be Gen VIII Pokémon. I'm not doubting that Pokémon's existence, I just don't think it's what we're seeing in that particular logo on Leon's cape. The seagull is rumored to dive in and catch a Pikachu to throw its enemies, so its mouth is either the equal size of Pelipper's if not bigger. They'll resemble each other a lot. Can't see any reason Pelipper out of all Pokémon to make it as the mascot of a Galar Corporate.
Anyone have any speculation on just what Duralodon is based on? It's clearly based on something specific (the hollow insides, the red extension behind its head), mechanical or technological, and I feel as if I've seen it before, but I can't for the life of me think of what it is, nor have I seen anyone else guess.
Now that's an idea/theory I can get behind. Makes sense too.Mecha Godzilla. It's the natural enemy of Tyranitar, which is based on regular Godzilla.
I agree with you on that. It would give him a double weakness and that wouldn't be good in terms of any real battling.I feel like Rock/Fire would be a bad type for Rolycoly because if it does keep it's ability, a water move would most likely one shot it so it can't even use it.
