Ash almost has a full team already by D/P #5:

Pikachu, Aipom, Flyer, Naetle.

That means he'll only catch two more Pokemon throughout the rest of D/P.

Unless a couple get Oaked or left somewhere.

The start of DP looks great! I'd love it if Ash got a new rival, i think the writers should have found Ash a new one when Gary quit but oh well, a new rival is better later than never! I haven't seen the last episode, nor do i speak japanese, but could someone who has seen it and understood the whole thing PLEASE spell it out in black and white what Gary is up to? is he,
a) going back to his lab on his little island with his aerodactyl
b) going to Shinou for research
or
c) going back to being a trainer and going to Shinou or just to hang around....
maybe he's going to buy his own tux from wherever Hikari got hers and enter constests with her as a double act?? you never know....

I SERIOUSLY hope Ash doesn't get the stupid bird. I want him to get the grass starter, but not the bird! maybe it just helps him out...or he lends it to Hikari for her first match and she keeps it...ugh, that would be a bit togepi and mistyish...meh!

But I do like the idea of Ash grabbing the bird from a nearby tree and throwing in like a dart to burst the balloon...sent some rather interesting images though my mind...

All in all, i think this is going to be a great series and i can't WAIT for epi pics and then even more the guides cos i can almost guarentee that us in the UK will not be seeing this lot for YEARS!

This poster doesn't have Brock in it. It's strange. But maybe it's just showing only new people or it could maybe a Japan and America thing. :laughs: However it still confuses me and makes me angry as well to know that the new guy wasn't going to be one of the second main guy characters instead of old Brock.
