New Team Move Sets: need ratings!

Absol!

Sea Ruby Trainer
Alright, I devised a new team that is currently taking shape on my Emerald. I am training a Mauville City, getting all Pokemon up to level 35 before facing Wattson (even though I could beat him easily as it is, lol!). As you might have guessed, I love to train my Pokemon and set high standards for levelling.

I have 5/6 Pokemon for this new team so far, the only remaining one to catch in Numel. I won't worry about natures this time around (only when breeding Pokemon will I stress about such things) and am not fussed about EV. training at this point in time. One of my Pokemon is EV. trained, but I don't plan to do any others this generation. Now, ending my ramblings and going into the actual team. I also need suggestions for items! Keep in mind, this is what I want it to turn out like, not what I currently have.

Swampert @ Not Sure
Serious (+0 -0)
- Surf
- Earthquake
- Endeavor
- Ice Beam
Ah. My faithful 'Pert. I know her nature is bad, but as I said, no worries at this point in time.

Aggron @ Leftovers
Brave (+Att. -Sp.)
- Double-Edge
- Flamethrower
- Water Pulse/Brick Break/Iron Defense
- Iron Tail
EV. trained in Att. and Sp.Att (the choices are fairly limited at Mauville...)

Camerupt @ Not Sure
Nature Unknown
- Eruption/Overheat
- Rockslide
- Amnesia/Fissure
- Sunny Day
I'm planning to use Camerupt as a combination for Swampert, the two back each other up nicely from what I've looked into. However, this will be my first Camerupt so I need plenty of suggestions!

Manectric @ Not Sure
Quiet (+Sp.Att -Sp.Def)
- Thunderbolt/Thunder
- Charge
- Thief
- Spark/Facade
Another I need plenty of suggestions for, as this will be my first serious Manectric.

Breloom @ Not Sure
Naughty (+Att. -Sp.Def)
- Giga Drain/Mega Drain
- Sky Uppercut
- Mind Reader/Spore
- Dynamic Punch/Counter
I know that two Fighting-type moves are not a good idea, so I added the options of Spore and Counter.

Golbat/Crobat @ Not Sure
Adamant (+Att. -Sp. Att)
- Fly
- Steel Wing
- Air Cutter/Poison Fang
- Shadow Ball
This one hopefully won't stay Golbat for long, so I need some great ideas for Crobat movesets.

Now, please take a good look at my movesets and suggest sensible alternitives. I can't put Leftovers on every Pokemon, but I can manage a couple of Shell Bells. Remember, I won't listen if you say something like 'that nature is crap. Get a different one.' I don't care about natures much this generation, okay?

Thanks everyone who comments :)

Thanks guys! :) I did say, however, that I wasn't going to worry about natures this time around. I'm not sure I can get 4 Leftovers or 2 Choice Bands, so will Shell Bell be a suitable substitute for Leftovers?

But I will definately take the movesets into account.

EDIT: How do these look?

Swampert @ Shell Bell
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Earthquake
- Curse

Camerupt @ Choice Band
- Flamethrower
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Eruption

Aggron @ Leftovers
- Iron Tail
- Double Edge
- Substitute
- Focus Punch

Manectric @ Not Sure
I'll be breeding for Timid nature and Crunch.
- Thunderbolt
- Crunch
- Charge
- Thief

Breloom @ Shell Bell
- Sky Uppercut
- Mach Punch
- Spore
- Counter

Crobat @ Not Sure
- Steel Wing
- Fly
- Sludge Bomb
- Shadow Ball

I haven't changed everything about their movesets, just bits of them. Thanks!

EDIT: Manectric is a poor man's Jolteon. What do you mean by that? I've taken a Manectric through the league before, they are quite good.

Although Manectric are fast and have a great Sp.Attack, the only good Sp.Attacks they learn are Thunderbolt and Crunch. Getting one with the right Hidden Power is hard ingame, so their uses are limited. >_>

anyways, go with chaos952 for sure, but for Aggron, I like:

Aggron (Adamant Nature) @Choice Band
~Rock Head~
-EQ
-Rock Slide
-Double Edge
-Iron Tail

Oh, I get it now :)

Thanks SapphireL for the moveset!

EDIT: I used the IVs calculator to find out Aara (my Lairon's) Hidden Power. It is Dragon-type, and currently would do 58. Is it worth it to teach her HP once I get the TM?

^_^; I think it works well

No. Lairon don't really have a good base Sp.Attack. Aggron don't either. if you're teaching Aggron ANY Sp.Attack, you COULD go with Fire Blast, but for ingame, I like the all-out physical set.

Okay, then :) Caught a Timid female Electrike, gave her an Everstone and bred her with my male. I've hatched three Electrikes, one Timid, but none with Crunch. Oh well. The others are Adamant and Quiet. I'll breed my pair again.

you get crunch by breeding a male seviper that already has crunch with the female electrike

Oh! Thanks! I'll have to wait until Fallabor Town to get my Crunch-ing 'Trike, then.

Thanks for the suggestions, Foxbatty :)

A couple things are, I can't get multiple Leftovers, and I'd really like to keep Fly on Crobat

Crobat can't attack for s*it without Choice Band.

A 60 base stat Special Attack with no STAB coming from a low S.Atk is going to do nothing whatsoever. What's your reasoning? Water Types? Choice Banded STAB Sludge Bomb does way more. As for Rock and Ground, you'll be Rock Slided to death before you can get move.

Giga Drain is really not a viable move on Crobat, as aforementioned. The staple moveset for Crobat in the metagame is so effective it can be used in the actual RPG itself.

This moveset is basically:

Crobat@Choice Band
Nature:Adamant or Jolly
Shadow Ball
Sludge Bomb
Aerial Ace
HP Fighting/Ground

Choose your move and sweep. Shadow Ball for Psychics and Ghosts; Sludge Bomb chiefly for STAB and awesomeness; Aerial Ace provides more STAB and a move against Heracross et al; HP is up to you... both are effective in their own right, it really depends on what types you anticipate using Rock Slide against you...

As for the other Pokemon, I'll leave them to the rest of the forumers. I've not really used any of them to any great extent.

I don't use Flying-types against Rock- and Ground-. I'd switch in Swampert or Breloom.

Thanks, OL :) I'll be using that moveset (though I might have Fly instead of HP because I need it out of battle) for Crobat.

It has 70 Base Sp. Attack and Crobat is faster than all rocks type (save Aerodactyl)

Just a note. The HMs like Cut and Fly are generally useless to use on your actual team Pokemon, with the exception of Surf. You can find plenty of Pokemon that can learn more than one HM to get you around the game world. Torchic learns three (Cut, Strength, Rock Smash) and its only a basic starter Pokemon.

Basically... catch a Taillow/Pidgey/whatever and teach THAT Fly. Then you'll have more diverese movesets that don't have Rock Smash or Dive everywhere. :D

And you'll also find that HP Fighting/Rock will come in handy if Cobat is you ronly Pokemon left and you're in against an opponent with Tyranitar and the like.

Finally Crobat's Atk>Sp.Atk... don't use Giga Drain on him. :D

Okay, I probably will do that then :) I have a Swellow level 38 (I used her to help EV train my Electrike, so she grew many levels) that I'll use for Fly. Thanks!
