Well, you've got the basics. There's a bit more attention to the detail needed however. Your outline shouldn't be all black. For the lighter areas, they should use the darkest shade of, in this case, green or grey. Another thing, I'm not 100% sure on this, but by the looks of things, you've used the preset colours on paint to make this sprite. It's okay, but not recommended. It's better to use a custome palette. Make sure your joints are life-like, not rubber-like, as we see in the one visible leg. Keep trying~

As said, you understand the concept of what to do. You saved it as .png, which means the sprite itself is already 10 times better. The only other ting I can say is to watch the shading. The head is pretty good, my only complaint is that the third shade is far too dark. That shade of color is what you use for the outline. For the body, it looks like the light is coming from the top-right and the bottom left, instead of the usual top-left.

For the second one, the shading is coming from the top-right, and there is very little black outline. The pose also seems a bit 2-dimensional. And of coarse, the legs aren't finished.

I hope this helps! Keep up the good work. ;448;9

Improvement is definately showing. You're missing on a few details still. Having blocky, or immensly straight lines on a sprite is not a good idea. The legs are experiencing this. It'll work better if you give them more dimension by adding to them. Take a look at some official Pokemon sprites to further help you out.

At this point, the outline is what you need to work on most, and that'll come with experience over time.

Very slightly.

You're getting the idea of how the shading should be done, but at the same time, you have much to go off of now. No sprite has that little light hitting it. Expand the amount of light that reaches the sprite itself. Refer to official sprites for more help on that. Also, under the head shouldn't have light exposure, as the bead is in the way, no? The linework still needs fixing.

Is it just me, or is this subforum just becoming a pit for Postcount +1? Read the damn rules and post properly.

To answer your question Yuma, it's getting there. Baby steps is all it is. You really need to find a Pokemon with a similar pose to basically "copy" the shading off of. It'll help make it look more realistic. I'd suggest something along the lines of Ninetails or Mightyena. Once you see what the general ieda is, it'll make the sprite look A LOT better.

The sprite itse;f has the best outline of all your sprites so far. one flaw though. The front leg to our left. The shoulder shouldn't be visible. What youve got there makes it look like there's a leg in the middle of its chest.
