Revolution Cons:
Continuation of classic franchises
Some may see this as a Pro as I'm highly excited about the new SSB(R). It's like calling Halo 3 a pro/con, who just can't judge games like that.

DJ-Will, Online service for xbox sadly isn't free, you have to pay $50.00 a year (unless your parents pay). You do not know revolution will be the weakest, heck it could be the most powerful and how is continuation of nintendo franchises a con, Mario and Zelda are amazing franchises that should be kept like halo on xbox and tekken on ps2. The other points you made were good though.

Yes, actually we do know. Sony and Microsoft are withdrawing from their misc. electronics department to pay for PS3 and XBOX360 production, and they are losing money for each. Nintendo does not have a misc. electronics department. Sotaru Iwata himself said that the Revolution wouldn't have to horsepower of the two other consoles. We KNOW.

I thought Silver basic Live service was free, and you would pay for the Gold version.

Continuing franchises is a double-edged sword. On one hand you have games featuring the same characters you know and love. On the other hand, you have what some players are saying: the franchises are getting old and people don't want to play the same games over and over again for 20 years. I mean look at the current Megaman series. People are tired of beating 8 Mavericks and then going through fortress stages in the X and Zero series, and most have stopped playing at Battle Network 2 because the sequels don't really offer anything new.

Do you have a link confirming this?

Couldn't give you a direct link, but I'm sure other people can back me up here. Rockstar have said on numerous occasions that the next GTA will not be exclusive to the PS3 or any other console. They made far too much money from the Xbox when they finally released the games there. No amount of money that Sony can offer them to keep it exclusive can make up for that.

And yes, Xbox live Silver accounts are free, Gold is $50 a year, which isn't that much really. Considering you get the best online service gaming has to offer, I'd say it's worth it. And think about it, chances are Nintendo are going to make up the cost of their servers by charging for downloads. I mean, you think those classic nes/snes games, etc will be free? - I'm not trying to put Nintendo down though, it still sounds very cool. Just pointing out facts.

Then explain to me why a huge majority of the fanbase wishes for the classic series to make a comeback with a new installment.

That's a bad idea... why would you get the Revolution just to play games the same way we've already been playing them for decades? That kind of nullifies the whole term "Revolution"...

Yeah, I know but I'm getting annoyed at that comment because no one has used the controller (except for some people in charge of websites) we have no idea how easy it is to use.

Yes but if you do change the overall gameplay of a title with each new release then people do keep coming back, Nintendo have already stated that "Twilight Princess" will be the last Zelda in this current format, thus the next one should change the gameplay elements. This means that it would appear to a fresh new game, but with characters we all know and love.

Also how do we know that the revolution controller will take along time to get used to? It could be the perfect controller and feel so natural it's unbelieveable that we never had it before.

Because we haven't had one in a while. But put them back in with a few more sequels, and I think people will still think the gameplay's getting stale.

Does anyone think that Sony will use a higher quality disk reader this time around, to avoid disk read errors?

Not like it's their fault... it's irresponsible teens who leave their disks out of their cases, silver side up, collecting dust and getting battered. Then, when it stops working, they refuse to admit that it's their fault. Nothing to do with Sony as a company... just some of their lazy audience.
