Next Pokemon Thread IV: A New Hope (Use for capture/release/evolution speculation!)

We still don't know when Ash is even going to get to the fourth gym. It may not be until BW050. I honestly don't believe there will be 10 measly episodes between each gym. That's even less than Kanto. There were like 30 between the 6th and 7th gym in Kanto IIRC. 25 episodes was average for Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh. That's enough time for Scraggy to grow a bit.

If the episodes are as good as they have been, they can take as long as they want to get to the gym for all I care.

Now that ash has snivy and swadloon, does anyone think he'll get another grass or bug type?

Not Grass because none of the others this saga really fit him IMO. Whimsicott and Deerling seems very marketable but they seem more like something Iris or Cilan would get. Galavantula would be nice though.

I would really like to see one of the main cast with the Solosis evolutionary line. It could be like James' Cacnea etc, hugging it's trainer whenver it was clled out of it's pokeball. Sort of like Muk. It would also make it the first psychic type for Ash if he caught it.

Oh yeah I got a good laugh at one. It still hasn't used Low Kick nor Hi Jump Kick, which it's Event-Counterpart has. Scraggy will only be useful against Brycen & then we expect Scraggy/Scrafty against Iris' Fraxure/Haxorus in the 8th gym. I don't think it would get slaughtered in the Electric Gym. If Elesa's third Pokemon is a Joltik or Tynamo, Scraggy could very well pull out a win. using Pikachu because it is an Electric-type is kinda lame. I was all up for Ash using Pikachu here but because it was used in the previous gym, I hope it skips out in this one, returns in the Skyla battle, then reappears in the last gym. Tepig being pwned in the last gym makes me believe it will sit out here. Oshawott is weak to Electric-types, so not him either. Tranquil would get fried and it does have the Ground Gym & Flying Gym, so that leaves Scraggy, Swadloon/Leavanny, & Snivy. Scraggy can get some good experience there, whether or not it loses or wins.

But of course my way of thinking will most likely be way off, considering the writers give me a middle finger from my explanations for which Pokemon Ash will use in the Bug Gym.

I seriously hope and doubt that, I love Scraggy it's my favourite pokemon from Satoshi team along with Oshawott but I want to see it eventually grow and not almost at the end of the damn arc, I hope by the 5th gym(or 4th if the gap is bigger like Thunderblade said) he can put up a fight, him and Kibago, I want it to be progressive not out of nowhere becoming strong enough in the last gyms and be used.

This is exactly what I have been hoping for. Scrafty and Haxorus develop alongside each other, watching each other grow into powerhouses and becoming something akin to brothers. In the final gym battle they clash.

Unfezant- I think will evolve to show off the gender differences
Samurott- Makes the most sense to evolve since trip and bianca will most likely have emboar and serperior
Pignite- can see evolving once
Servine- same as above
Scrafty - i see him similar to gliscor, so i think he will evolve
Leavanny- i highly doubt it will stay mid staged
Sigilyph- a psychic flying type could be cool to watch
Audino- gives him a straight up normal type, which he hasn't had in a while. i would much rather this pokemon than Bouffalant
Pawniard- Speedy and powerful is ash's type.

Audino is the Chansey of Unova.... Ash isn't getting one, well I have never even considering Ash getting one to be exact.

I like the idea of Ash with a Pawniard. I don't think it should evolve and could have a clumsy personality or something along those lines. A lighter side to it's types and appearance which make it look intimidating.

Yeah, maybe along the lines of Larviatar, using Harden when people approach it, except it uses Iron Defense? Or scratches them with Metal Claw?
