Yes Tranquil recently appeared and actually did something after 70 episodes, but that's ridiculous that it took that long.

Swadloon same as Tranquil.

Palpitoad is pretty much the same.

Honestly, I only care about the toad, seeing as Swadloon is gonna appear sooner or later...if there's any to change that though, it's by rotating a starter. If there is a starter who's gonna be in permanent rotation, it's gonna be Pignite, as the popularity people talk about is a double edge sword against him, seeing as Oshawott and Snivy are by far more popular, though I still feel views should have changed by now. It's been an entire year since that list :|

Pikachu - Not going anywhere.
Unfezant - She's done for now.
Dewott - I want Oshawott to evolve, but Burgundy will most likely showcase Samurott.
Emboar - I know Bianca will debut it, but I think Tepig is Ash's main starter (a-la Charizard/Sceptile/Infernape).
Servine - I see Trip showcasing Serperior, I think Ash having 2 middle stage starters and one fully evolved would be something different.
Scraggy - Needs an unevolved Pokemon for marketing.
Leavanny - Coming soon.
Seismitoad - He can be Ash's fully-evolved Water-type for Unova.
Gigalith - I'd love to see Ash with this, even if it's only hope is random evolution.
Krokorok - If it evolves Ash would have two fully-evolved Ground-types plus Krok needs to get over the glasses issue.
Elgyem - Just to give Ash two teams of five Pokemon, with Pikachu accompanying both. Also, he needs a Psychic-type. Please writers, don't give up on another new capture.

Yes, I think he needs one last Pokemon.

The reason I see Emboar is because the writers tend to prefer Ash's Fire Starters to be the main starter.

I know that Chomper thinks Krokorok will get special treatment, but to me, he's just another Pokemon that Ash will rotate around. And I said that Trip would be the preferred person for Ash to trade with because it would actually mean something since Ash and Trip are rivals. I don't think that the writers would have Ash trade with some random nobody since most of Ash's Pokemon evolve when someone important is involved (i.e. Team Rocket, a Gym Leader, etc.). And I only see Palpitoad evolving as a way to appease the fanbase, but since the writers don't care about what fans want, it probably won't happen.

1. Regardless of whatever random member thinks about Krokorok, we sort of have to see what the writers do with him; he may evolve he may not. He JUST got him, so let's wait and see.
2. So...Ash can't find out about how Boldore evolves and even ask one of his friends to trade and trade back? Not the best example, but it's entirely possible to come up with a plausible excuse for a trade episode.
3. How popular is it in Japan? I mean that's what matters more than the Western fanbase.

See like...you responded to half of my post...I said they could evolve...they could not...but let's not completely discount the idea without any real basis.

Keeping 3 at stage 1/once evolved Pikachu/Janobii/Gantle
and 1 basic Zuruggu. Keeps it balanced, and leaves space to evolve later in the series.

He's gonna stay and follow Ash all the way on his actual and future journey (if he remain unevolved by the end) ala Phanpy/Aipom.

But Im still pretty sure our young star Oshawott will evolve at least once. C'mon guys ! It was the first starter to join Ash on his journey and yet there is enough time for him to evolve. Remember that Chinchar evolve around the 7th-8th badge and it only seems logical for the otter himself to evolve just to keep up with his friend/rival at times Pignite.

Think about the possibilities of the subject, jealousy from part of our charismatic otter for all the new power reached from his pork counterpart and all thanks to evolution. Plus the favouritism of his use.

As a result I see an arc where Oshawott seek an extreme and constant training tirelessly until get the evolution and thus regain the precious attention of his trainer.

But anyways, that's my point of view.

Bianca's already got Escavalier, so that's a no go on Georgia. The other three are longshots. Of those, Shiftry has the best chance, and even that's slim if there's no Hoenn remakes.

Yeah, I know this is unlikely. I just think it's the best team for her theme-wise.

But for Escavalier... a trade is always possible. Georgia gets along decently with Bianca after all.

I think the evolutions really depend on the pace the anime is going to go from now on.
If it takes 10 episodes to reach the 7th gym, I'd say Leavanny/Pignite would be the only to evolve.
If it takes like 30 for some reason, then a possible Seismitoad/Leavanny/Pignite.
If reaching the 8th gym takes 15 episodes, Seismitoad if it didn't occur and possibly the Krok..
If it takes 40 episodes, Seismitoad/Krookodile/Dewott or Servine or Emboar.
Then theres the time it takes to reach the league

The anime is going at a face pace at the moment, so I think there will only be Leavanny and Pignite before the seventh gym if possible, and to the eighth gym Seismitoad and in Opelucid Krookodile. On the way to the league an Emboar.
I'm sure there will be a person showcasing Samurott at the league if Burgandy doesn't (like Tyson and his Sceptile)

I agree. The pacing of the upcoming episodes before the 7th and 8th gyms will really give us an idea of how many evolutions there may be prior to the League. I don't think there will be many if the pace continues to be this fast.

A few points:
1. Pikachu doesn't count, leaving 9 pokemon to be rotated.
2. Oshawott, Tepig, Snivy, Scraggy, are frequently used
3. Boldore and Krokorok are probably going to be used, but a bit less frequent then the above.
4. Unfezant, Swadloon, Palpitoad are at the bottom of this threeway.

Now if go about it this way, that each group takes up a set time, through a number, then we'd get this.
- Group 1. Takes up all the time, as Pikachu is always present.
- Group 2. Takes up 8 amount of time, each pokemon is accounted by a double digit..
- Group 3. Takes up 4 amount of time, each pokemon is accounted by a double digit..
- Group 4. Takes up 3 amount of time, each pokemon is accounted by a single digit..

Now of this group chemistry becomes unhinged, by Tepig and Swadloon evolving, then there could be a shift in how time is distributed.
- Group 2. would have to distribute 6 for the three members: Oshawott, Snivy, Scraggy.
- Group 3. Would have gained 3 with Pignite and Unfezant/Leavanny, ending up with 7
- Group 4. Would have lost 1 due to Unfezant and Leavanny being intermittently being switched to group 3. Ending up with 2

And then we'd see that the overall timesharing would be more centered towards the bulk of the group.

I'd agree to this if I didn't find Elgyem to be completely unsympathetic, and envision Scrafty vs. Haxorus to be one of the last evolution riddledbattles in Unova, with the last being Ash vs. Alder... The rest I'm proverbially cool with for post league/endseries. I'd go with a psychotic Solosis.. But that's just me :O

Good effort! I can see this happening indeed. The last three can go eitherway when you look at it don't they? Seismitoad would probably happen pre-league, but Boldore and Krokorok could stay as they are and it wouldn't make too much of a difference to me. And if they don't go before the league, then I definitely see this happening post league, along with Dewott and Servine if possible.

Servine-I don't want to see it's personality get stale and think it may evolve in a battle against Trip, though it might just stay as a snivy
Scraggy-Cannot see it evolving, it barely ever appears nowadays
Leavanny-Done, it will be Ash's fully evolved grass powerhouse of the region
Seismitoad-Think it will definetly happen, it will be Ash's fully evolved water powerhouse of the region
Boldore-Doubt it will evolve by trade, maybe randomly in battle, but it is strong already and doubt it will try to evolve again, or even the writers would try
Krookodile-Krokorok wants to get stronger, it actually battles and trains unlike scraggy, so I can see a late evolution in the league.

As for Iris and Cilan, I couldn't care because we probably won't ever see them again.

Rock Smash-I can see it staying or being replaced, if it's replaced then Giga Impact perhaps for a strong close range move.

Crunch-Depending on how Foul Play would be done, I can see Crunch staying or being replaced for Foul Play.
Foul Play-Again, depending on how it's used, either it replaces Crunch for something new and interesting or something else if Crunch and Foul Play are different enough.
Thunder Fang/Stone Edge/Dig/Something else-Depending on Foul Play, I can see a few different outcomes in terms of moves.

I really hope that the writers do something with Hidden Abilities; I want Oshawott to have Shell Armor instead of Torrent, which I believe is the better ability. But if Oshawott doesn't have a Hidden Ability, I at least hope that one of Ash's other Pokemon has one. It would be an original theme, which is something that this saga has lacked IMO.

Hey, I'm the original Litwick for Ash guy (as far as I know), and even I would be satisfied if it goes to Iris or Cilan. The main draw with Litwick is that it completes the secondary Grass-Fire-Water trio that was started by Leavanny and Palpitoad.

Maybe people realized that it's getting unlikely for Oshawott to evolve. That's not necessarily "jumping on the bandwagon". It's more of realizing the inevitable. (I'm actually all for the middle stage idea)

Yes Tranquil recently appeared and actually did something after 70 episodes, but that's ridiculous that it took that long.

Wait what?? Unfezant had 14 appearances on screen while Boldore has only 8. Unfezant has gotten justice recently and we should be glad. The only pokemon you can make a case about not appearing is Swadloon (which is gonna evolve soon, so it's gonna be off the list) and Palpitoad. Palpitoad is really the only pokemon that needs to show up more, with it's pathetic 5 appearances.

Personally on the subject of Axew evolving, I think they screwed themselves over by having it be a Pokemon that's always out. Maybe we'll get Fraxure close to the end of 5th generation anime, and then have it evolve soon after into Haxorus. Then should Iris ever return to the series after 5th gen, Haxorus will be out, OR Iris could just not have a outside all the time Pokemon and she just sends out her Pokemon.

But now? No, as much as I want Axew to evolve, I just can't see it, given that Axew has been in every episode of Best Wishes so far.
