Guess who's back
I remember a lot of people thought Ash was around 14 in Sinnoh due to the 3 seasons =1 year rule and the fact that he had gotten taller since OS at the time. Also judging by how they portrayed him as a veteran trainer and whatnot I thought along the same lines. But of course, they retcon him back to 10 in BW. But I digress.

I wonder who will be the next to evolve after Krokorok...

Snivy I hope, well no I actually wish it was Pikachu, but I'll settle for Snivy.. Or tbh I'll settle for anything at this point.

If the writers decide not to evolve Oshawott and Snivy they need to at least give them a development episode explaining why. Snivy's will obviously be tied to Trip. In fact, even if Snivy does end up evolving I expect it to be against Trip and Serperior. Oshawott's had better not be a rehash of Piplup's episode.

Here's something that I noticed.

Some people want Oshawott and Seismitoad, one evolves and one doesn't but that logic is flawed.

Palpitoad and Korokorok share Ground-typing so technically, Palpitoad should never evolve due to Krookodile. So then that leaves Oshawott to evolve. Krookodile also means no Scrafty as Krookodile and Pignite happen.

I already told that yesterday to the people that were posting teams with Palpitoad unevolved, Samurott and Servine, asking them if Snivy evolves even though Leavanny is fully evolved why can't Palpitoad evolve lol?

Yeah a pokemon evolving doesn't take a spot from the other, if they want to evolve a certain pokemon they will, they wont stop evovolving something they wanted to evolve just because they are already evolving something of the same typing.

If the writers decide not to evolve Oshawott and Snivy they need to at least give them a development episode explaining why. Snivy's will obviously be tied to Trip. They didn't give us a reason why Totodile, Buizel, Corpish or even Cyndaquill didn't evolve, why do we need an excuse, I prefer no excuses and "forever" wishing a pokemon eventually evolves like Cyndaquill than having a retarded episode about a pokemon refusing to evolve.

Evolving against Trip and Serperior is the worst way for Snivy to evolve, unless it defeats it beforehand. Otherwise Trip was proven correct and I doubt the writers want him to be correct about what he thinks.. :p

How is he proven correct?

I believe shelldude400 is referring to Trip's comments about Ash needing to evolve Snivy to get stronger and it being basics and whatnot, I think Ash mentioned that it wasn't needed and Snivy can be strong on it's own. Believe that's what happened.

I don't think that comment should merit Snivy not evolving against him, it was more a comment on Ash's skill as a trainer and him not being able to evolve his Pokémon than it was a dig at Snivy specifically.

Almighty Zard

He has returned.
Funny thing is, looking at Ash's team right now and not counting Pikachu...
three base forms: Oshawott, Snivy, Scraggy
three mid stagers: Pignite, Boldore, Palpitoad
three fully evolved: Unfezant, Levanny, Krok (confirmed)

does seem balanced despite protests, but what do I know.

Whoever evolves at this point doesn't matter, all that does matter is killing Trip and breaking his pokemon in mortal kombat.

Joltik-Kid

Careful? Where's the fun in that?

I'll never understand why some baseless none sense is being sprouted about Trip's comment on Snivy and evolution. Guess what, Ash made the same claim to Paul stating Chimchar would win with it's own power...it evolved twice before their league match and how did it beat Electivire? Oh that's right, the same ability Paul was always trying to get Chimchar to activate... it didn't win without the ability in any serious match >:| Why does Snivy have to suffer from writing issues from the 10th episode of Best Wishes?

Well let's say krookodile is the last change ash has before the league and counting the league (worst case scenario). His teams would look so weak and under developed against Trip because I have a feeling all of Trip's pokemon will be fully evolved.

You can't really make a team out of those his pokemon that look like they would stand a chance in the league. Obviously Pikachu and Krookodile would be givens, but who else Leavanny and Unfezant? Boldore and pignite? It is pretty much his team used against Homika except krookodile for palpitoad and he needed all 6 pokemon to beat 3 of hers. This matchup just looks so uneven and unrealistic if Ash wins.

If this is the case, it would be pretty terrible haha. Let's all hope and pray that Krookodile isn't the last evolution before the league. Though I seriously seriously doubt it would since its only beginning of BWS2. I'm also pretty confident that there are other World Tourneys too.

Wishes that won't come true. And if they keep evolving the reserves at a rate of one every 150 episodes, I don't think it will matter too much. Especially if they keep on piling on new unevolved pokemon every saga. But hey, maybe by the 16th generation, when we're all 65 years old, Totodile will finally evolve. We have that to look forward to... Yay..! (?)

What I wish Ash's team will be:
Pikachu- Done
Unfeazant- Done
Samurott- Still hoping
Emboar- Good Possibility
Servine- Snivy can just evolve once, can't see Ash with Serperior really.
Scraggy- I think it won't evolve.
Leavanny- Done
Palpitoad- Stays in this form if Oshawott evolves fully.
Krookodile- Done
Gigalith- So much more marketable but it probably won't happen.

What I can deal with and see the writers doing:
Pikachu
Unfeazant
Oshawott
Emboar
Snivy/Servine
Scraggy
Leavanny
Krookodile
Boldore
Seismitoad

And it's a coincidence that basically everyone wants this team. It's the ideal team...though,we all know...it's not gonna happen.

not everyone...

Samurott + Emboar + Seismitoad + Snivy is my ideal team.

Snivy = broken pattern
Emboar = broken pattern
Samurott = broken pattern

I don't think all three patterns will be broken, but it would be nice if at least 2 were.

What the heck makes Emboar a broken pattern? Pretty sure you mean Pignite...as it would be the first Fire starter that evolved but didn't evolve again, especially given it's story

I'll just put the patterns for all three -

Snivy = Toughest in-game starter to use, first time it wouldn't evolve in the anime. (Charizard, Bayleef, Blaziken, Infernape)
Samurott = Water type of Ash's finally fully evolves.
Emboar = Easiest in-game starter to use, first time it would fully evolve in the anime. (Squirtle/Bulbasaur, Quilava(GSC)/Totodile(HGSS), Marshtomp, Piplup)

My favorite starter in the anime and the games has always been (for some odd reason) the starter labeled the easiest for in-game progression.

Can we please not rile JK up, anytime someone says Pignite should evolve but Snivy shouldn't he goes into postal mode.

Oshawott is the only starter that can break a pattern here, it doesn't matter what roads Pignite and Snivy take because we've been down all of them already with the others, but that doesn't dictate thier future one bit, whatever road they take is in the writers hands.

Prays to god that Dewott merchandise isn't related to burgundy or some random new rival

I would suffice for Dewott , Emboar and Snivy or Dewott , Emboar , Servine

Chimchar didn't take on an Monferno/Infernape. Also Ash was the one to focus that power and train Chimchar to use it, and it did win with it's own power...
This is basically the same as the Pikachu v Raichu episodes..
Pikachu beats the Raichu in the end.
I have my doubts about Snivy evolving now as well, but the lack of appearances make me wonder :/
