• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

The way the Panthers are playing now I think Rivera will be the first coach to go from making the Super Bowl one year to being fired in the middle of the following season, breaking Bill Callahan's record for quickest dismissal following a Super Bowl appearance.

And there's our first loss. Man, our offensive line needs help badly, they keep crumbling like a paper ball and barely protecting Flacco at all, it's holding the entire offense back.

That, and Harbaugh made some terminally stupid decisions to go for 2 in the 3rd quarter and to allow a penalty on 3rd down instead of letting them kick a field goal. That's 5 points right there that Harbaugh gave up and that would've changed the outcome of this game.

The jaguars won there first against the colts and the colts are now tie with them for last place in there division.

Yikes, what is happening to the colts this season?

Our O-Line like usual, isn't that strong. If I heard right during the game we are starting 3 rookies on that O-Line, so yeah, not gonna be the best. But yeah, that entire game was mostly a mess for the team. Also, might as well just go for a good draft spot already, also get rid of Grigson. Let's make it happen.

The Lions lost to the Bears. No surprise.

Michigan beat Wisconsin and they remain unbeaten. It looks like Michigan will be undefeated when they play Michigan State. Michigan plays Rutgers and Illinois next. Michigan should win those two games no problem.

If Michigan and Ohio State keep taking care of business they might play eachother undefeated at the end of the season.

Rams beat the Cards. 3-1 since 2006, still in first place.

I'm hoping next week they'll let Goff play against the Bills.

Well with the Huskers on a bye this week, gonna have to find some other game(s) to watch and pay attention to this week. I honestly still can't believe we're 5-0 and actually ranked 12th right now, been awhile since I've seen this from our team.

I just watched the craziest game I have ever seen at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. If you look at the yardage, Texas Tech should have absolutely destroyed K-State, but my Wildcats came away with it. Like usual, Big 12 refs were horrible, but it was still crazy. It all came down to one play after an onside kick that the Red Raiders actually recovered, but the K-State defense actually came through for one play and knocked the pass down. It made me happier than I am comfortable admitting. And it was on Bill's 77th birthday, so it was one hell of a present.

Sign me up for the Fire Trestman bandwagon. It says a lot when our starting RB had 11 carries for 95 yards and we didn't see him for most of the 2nd half. Trestman clearly has no idea what he's doing with the Ravens' offense.

I'm on the Fire Kelly bandwagon at Notre Dame. I really want Pete Carroll to become Notre Dame's coach. If he can resurrect one of their rivals and lead them to national titles he can do the same at ND.

Rams lost, but I'm happy for yesterday of college football.

USC won, UCLA lost, Stanford lost, Oregon lost, and ND lost. ND and UCLA's losses was a perfect day for the Trojans.

Rams vs Lions next week. May we come in peace Nintendofan82.

Managed to watch the 4th quarter of the Cowboys-Bengals game during my lunch break at work today. I can't believe we're actually 4-1 right now and a step out of bounds away from being 5-0.

The Lions actually won. They beat the Eagles. Surprise surprise.

This game should be interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if the Rams win to be honest. Who knows which Lions team will show up. I'm thinking this will be a close game.

I'm actually surprised by their record too. I thought they'd be lucky to just be .500 by the time Romo gets back, but Dak Prescott continues to impress every week, along with Zeke. Which brings me to a question, do you think their will be a QB controversy when Romo is close to returning?

To me it's a no brainer to start Romo because you can always go back to Dak if needed and Romo is a better QB outright. However, the offense does seem a lot more balanced with Dak atm. The dual threat of pass/run is always there and it seems like Dallas is running the ball more which should be their main strength imo, especially with that O-line. Another thing is their D, I thought they'd be one of the worst in the NFL and they're playing good. They bend, but have really broke yet.

Not sure how that's a no-brainer then.

Let's see:

36 year old QB with three long-term injuries sustained in the last season and a half and a poor playoff record

or

23 year old QB who has never sustained a long-term injury (including 4 year college career here for sample size) and is already leading his team as a rookie to as many wins as last season through 5 games alongside another well-performing rookie

I know there are upsides to Tony Romo. He's not the worst QB around by any means. But on the flip side, Dak isn't showing all that many weaknesses.

So again, I don't understand this "no brainer" talk.

Romo is better with the long ball which means fewer defenders will be stacked up front so the running game should open up a little bit more.

Honestly I like the way they put it during the game the other day. A team that's doing well while also having a QB controversy is a good thing. If they start Romo and they keep winning, then great. If he gets hurt or starts playing poorly, then they just put Prescott back in and pick up where they left off before Romo came back.

I'll make this short:

Age doesn't matter much, Peyton Manning was horrible last season and he still managed to win a SB and also had some horrific injuries in his career.

Go back and look at what Romo did 2 yrs ago when he was fully healthy and had a great supporting cast. Only Aaron Rodgers had a higher QBR at 82.0, while Romo's QBR was 81.8. However, if you look at Total QBR, Romo was #1. They have a solid running game again, Dez will back soon too, so he literally has the same supporting cast he had back in '14.

I understand the injury part and everything else, trust me, but when you have a really good QB returning, you can't just bench him. This isn't like when Brady took Bledsoe's job years ago. Romo is a lot better than Bledsoe. Dak is the future w/out a doubt, but Romo gives them a better chance overall to win a SB right now, when he's healthy.

Also, we've only seen 5 games for Dak and he really hasn't played anyone good yet. This week vs the Packers, will be his first real test imo. Let's see what he does. ;)

About Romo vs Prescott, I think Romo does deserve the benefit of the doubt when he comes back, but I don't think it'll matter in the long run, at least for this season.

If anyone's interested in making season predictions, I think Dallas will go 10-6 this yr and maybe at best/worst a wildcard seed but I expect a one and done in the first round whether it's with Romo or Prescott. Mostly cause they haven't really played anyone that good yet and besides the opener against the Giants, they still have plenty of division games left and those teams are hungry this yr. I definitely ain't expecting them to beat Minnesota cause those boys don't f*** around. They remind me of Denver's defense last yr

But I will say this tho, I think they do have a legit shot of beating GreenBay on Sunday. Aaron Rodger's receivers just can't get enough separation against these defenders for whatever reason, and it's gonna cost him. A shame, cause he's a future HOF that's getting killed with these dropped passes (I'm looking at you Davante adams) I'm still pissed Eddie Lacy's hurt mostly cause he's on one of my Fantasy teams lol. If Dallas loses this Sunday, it'll probably be cause of Green Bay's defense.

And side note: say what you want about Tom Brady, but he's fu**** back
