Nickname types?

This was something I had considered. Whenever I do nicknames I make them specific so I wanted to know who else does it. Just say what the nicknames are and what they are named after.

For example here is mine:

Pluto / Seviper
Venus / Milotic
Jupiter / Sceptile
Saturn / Salamence
Mercury / Lanturn
Neptune / Gyarados



This is my Emerald team and I nicknamed them after the planets

I normally give my Pokemon Japanese nicknames. In past games I would name them all after characters in anime like Inuyasha or Wolf's Rain, etc. In my current Emerald game I have only three Pokemon, nicknamed the following:

Razan - Combusken
Narihiro - Grovyle
Momoko - Marshtomp

I'm just going for random Japanese names that aren't really found in any anime series. That way, at least to me, it makes my Pokemon seem more original than if they were actually named after another character. X3

I named my Eveelutions by the first part of their name. Does that count?

Vaporeon: Vapor
Flareon: Flare
Espeon: ESP... and so on.

I had a friend who named them after characters from FMA. I named myself in the game after Hayate from the manga Hayate Cross Blade.

And any sort of nickname counts

Usually I don't go for types, but on the challenge me and my friend are doing I have:

All names must consist of four letters
All names must end in RO.

So far, Toro = Combusken, Xoro = Dustox, Ziro = Crobat, Coro = Lombre, Arro = Aron, and the Wynaut egg will be Wyro/Auro.

I just give my pokemon regular names, like in my Emerald team:

(F) Swampert - Bella
(U) Rayquaza - Rayna
(M) Beautifly - Henry
(F) Wailord - Maria
(F) Manectric - Jade
(M) Relicanth - Relico (Ok, this one is an exception.)

Charizard: Fireman (I got that from lil wayne lol)

Hypno: Hypnoimp (impish nature)

i don't usually nickname pokemon but i've decieded to nickname my current team but i think of what to name the other five. i need nicknames for the following, any suggestions?

gligar, jynx, eletabuzz, gengar & heracross

I often do traniner to pokemon themes like in R I did Flamin (feamle sign) then Flamin PKMN Charmander and in S I did Mario with a Skeptile named Yoshi.

I also do a lot of Japnese names like my Articuno is Korasuru (not sure if thats the spelling) means frozen and My Espon's name is Shinu wich means killer.
