Ninetales & Meganium

Hey I'm fairly new to well serious team building and I haven't played the game in a long time. I've tried doing some research but haven't really been satisfied and I'm trying to make a decent Ninetales and Meganium so far my plan is for something like this.

Ninetales@ Lefties
EVs: some help here would be nice
Nature: Modest
WoW
Flamethrower
Hypnosis (Not sure)
HP Grass (not liking how my chances are tho)

and for Meganium

Meganium@ Lefties
EVs: Aiming for keeping Defs balanced
Nature: Bold
Ingrain
Leech Seed
Reflect
Light Screen

Maybe both Ingrain and Leech seed are overkill.

Any help would be nice, thank you in advance.

Ingrain and Leech Seed aren't overkill. I like that set.

As for Ninetales:

-Flamethrower
-Confuse Ray
-Toxic
-Body Slam

Now before everyone gets annoyed at not putting WoW in there, it's for a simple reason. It decreases the foe's Atk, so if they hurt themselves with CR, it won't be as effective.

Then WoW over confuse ray. Definately not Body Slam. Hypnosis>Body Slam

Thank you for both of your advices and I'll take them both into account when I finish deciding (Or maybe end up using two diff ninetales on two diff teams since I like both MS')

Anybody able to give some advice on Meganium? Or perhaps some help with EV spreads.

That Meganium is fine as it is. You could replace one of the moves other than LS or IG with Toxic.

You can try Fire Spin, but I won't recommend it, W-o-W and Confuse Ray shouldn't be played together, Confuse Ray has higher accuracy and can do some damage here and there, well W-o-W lowers the attack and does damage but wont stop attacks and can be bad on guts pokemon.

I like the moveset above so I think I'll stick with that one for my Ninetales.

I'm looking for more defense for the Meganium, I was thinking bout taking the advice on putting Toxic on him but I'll just stick it to Ninetales as he can be my main inducer.

Stop putting Body Slam on everything ffs. This isn't RBY paralysis isn't everything or nearly as important.

atm your meganium can't even touch other grass types

Counter on Meganium is great he has a good solid defence and HP to match it, just promise you will never put will o wisp and confuse ray in the same set!

W-o-W and Confuse Ray shouldn't be played together,

And why not? Don't say because of Burn's attack lowering, since if you think the point of confusion is the "damage" they do to themself, you're wrong. It's all about the turn loss they were handed. With Will O Wisp, if they do get an attack in, it'll be weak.

I picked Grudge since you may as well get in that last F U before the Ninetales eventually gets KO'ed.
