Nintendo DS hardware problems

Well, I was innocently playing Mario Kart DS the other day, when my 'R' shoulder button ceased to function. Since then, it has been incredibly sporatic. Has anyone else had this problem? Got any tips?

Just call the number on the back of your DS for customer service.
Nintendo will repair the shoulder button at no cost to you
(if the one year warranty hasn't expired).
