Where can you experiance the events? I want to get Lugia, Deoxys, and Mew. Do you need a cheating device that will bug your game? Is there a way without cheating or bugging up your game?

You should check Pokemon.com for the latest announcement on any rare-Pokemon giveaway events. But I think all the ones for the 3rd generation are done.

Yeah, as he said, Pokemon.com has them listed. Basically they have events like that in Japan, but I think there were a few in the US.

Umm you can get Lugia in xd and Latias in Emerald or sapphire...

i have all but deoxys.
the events are done for the advance gen but there will be events in dp for Rugia and ho-oh.

You can still use a cheat device. And btw in Pokemon XD you can catch and purify Shadow Lugia.

Deoxys - Same as above, but only in Space Center (Houston) and New York (I think)
Celebi - Journey Across America (2006)
Mew - Toys R' Us event (9/30)

I have all of the above, so I'm pretty much finished with my Pokedex...

You can also get Ho-oh in Colosseum.

Or in G/S/C, but you can't trade him to the advanced gen. But then, who would want to? <.<

yeah... i heard that they switch off the pokemon they give away at nintendo world (in NYC) every couple of weeks.
so you could always plan a vacation

Most cheat devices destroy your game, don't use them

You could cheat on a different game then trade it to your disired game.
There are event for darkrai, Aruseus, and shemei. Where you can get deoxys and i think the ?Phenioxes?.

I got Deoxys at Hunt For Deoxys in the UK last year, and will get Lugia, Ho-oh and the rest at Europe's Top 10 event.

The whole event seemed pretty lax to me.

I really want to get Lugia without getting Gale of Darkness. Unless I can beat it in 2 months because the Gamcube goes bye bye on Christmas for the PS3 or the PS2. I will probably never go to any events because I live in Michigan. Has there ever been an event in Michigan? Or even Detroit. My mom won't let me go any where outside Detroit unless its the suberbs. The only time I ever get to go to a special event like Pokemon Journey Across America is if I do something good or if its a special occation.

there is one more way. instead of using a 'cheat device' you can play the game on the computer and use a supercard to transfer the pokemon to a real cartridge. No real carts are cheated on so can never be damaged.
